Highly recommended, unsatisfactory performance! Empty restaurant and it still took 40 minutes for essentially a grilled chicken breast, a hot dog, and two BLT sandwiches to be delivered. My daughter's hotdog was cold. Not refrigerator cold, but cooked, then set out for 20 minutes cold. The server took the food back and delivered a piping hot hotdog! And crunchy, raw centered, greasy and hot, undercooked French fries. They then took them back and mad us new ones, the came out slightly browner, but still not cooked through. After all was said and done, I took the fries home to finish cooking in my Air Fryer. I'm done with Willie she's and not sure if I'll ever go back. It was a $53 lunch that the should've been valued at about $20. The worst part was that I talked the place up so much to my visiting friends and was completely let down. read more

Went here with high expectations for my birthday. We were disappointed in every way. The parking lot was full when we got there at 8pm. When we checked in, they told us a 20-25 minute wait. As we sat waiting for a table- the entire restaurant almost emptied out. The hostess was somewhat snooty and did nothing to make the wait more tolerable. After 30 minutes we still sat there waiting even with 3/4 of the restaurant empty. When we politely asked if we would have a table soon- we were told there was no silverware clean and wrapped so we would have to wait. Finally after 45 min we were seated. Our waitress was okay but the food was definitely not anything special. The seafood pasta smelled fishy and had very little taste. Since it was my birthday we were going to get dessert. Almost all of the desserts were served with ice cream and guess what?? They were out of ice cream. Mo doubt- this was our first and last trip to Willie Sues. read more

Nice-looking facility and good food, but it goes quickly downhill from there! I really struggled to give it a "2". Quite frankly, the young girl waitresses haven't been trained, to any noticeable degree. They're pretty much clueless, and there's apparently a very limited (and untalented) management staff. Maybe it's a mid-Sunday letdown. Last week (mid-Sunday) I was handed as the customer a WET menu; I guess it was a, pardon my French, half-assed attempt at sanitation in the time of C Virus. This week, well sit me in the last booth in the very, very back, right next to the kitchen. (I was taught--many, many moons ago--this is a "no no", unless the joint's absolutely packed, which it wasn't. It's disrespectful to the customer.) My friend and I had dinner at your restaurant tonight. We had to wait in a crowded front area. We finally got seated in a booth by the bar. The bar patrons we overserved and drunk/rowdy. Waitress told us the computers were down and we couldn't order any food. Finally, we wanted plain fried green tomatoes as appetizer. we also ordered a full rack of ribs to share and some beans and coleslaw with sweet, iced tea. You were out of coleslaw, and we couldn't get any refills on tea. We waited a long time for our order, and she brought the appetizer out after the meal. When it was time to pay the check, we had to go look for the waitress who never offered us dessert. This is when we learned that that we were expected to pay 14.75 for one order of plain fried green tomatoes. Donna S. got no tip. We do not want to come back...it was terrible. read more

I've eaten at Willie Sue's a few times and tonight I got dinner to go. I got the bone in prime rib which was cooked perfectly! It was seasoned perfect and was yummy! I got the baked potato loaded minus bacon and the salad. I love the croissants, only one comes with the dinner though. The dinner was good and worth the price, it was right at $40. Went to lunch with a friend from Ohio which happens to be a vegetarian. She asked if the chef could add a fried green tomato to the lunch veggie wrap. The waitress was very kind and said she would ask. She returned and said the manager said no. So, she was forced to order the fgt appetizer plain so she could add it to her wrap. She did not ask for anything that was not on the menu or above and beyond just a fried green tomato added to her wrap. That as far as I'm concerned is very poor customer service on your part and way to go Ricky McLeod to show out of Towner's southern hospitality . The staff is always very friendly... They have great lunch specials. We eat at Willie Sues at least twice a month.

OMG! Great place! Had the Crabby Patties as an app, then the bacon wrapped filet. Both were excellent. Arrived to find that the wait was 45 mins, but was quickly offered outside seating which was definitely not an issue. The outside area had ac and giant flat screens. If you do not give this place five stars I do not know what you are doing. First off we started with dessert - double chocolate pie - yummy THEN warm cookie with ice cream. Gator tail was the best we have ever had. Tommie (the manager) made a positive impression and he will another reason we come back. He was engaged listened and made our experience special. Michaela was our server was awesome - I am a tea drinking that she kept my tea coming and full. She followed up with us multiple times and made sure we were happy customers. The food was great and we will drive 90 minutes to eat and drink here on a regular basis. The menu has options for everyone. Their pie and cake change daily so you never know what you will get. Great atmosphere and service but the food was not as good as expected. I had the Seafood Pasta and it only contained two shrimp. The pasta dish was ok at best. The bartender and a server were discussing how ridiculous it was that 5 people we're on the lunch schedule and how they would not make enough money to warrant coming to work. After we placed out order we could hear a girl screaming in the kitchen (sounded like rough housing). Our server was severely sick with a cold (got too much detail on that). She was attentive. Food was ok. Canned cheese on nachos. Potato skins should be marketed as loaded baked potatoes, kinda dry. Entrees were good. Huge portions. Stopped in on a Thursday afternoon and ordered off the Lunch Menu. We started with the Lunch Nachos and it was the perfect size order to wet our appetites for our meals. I ordered the Sliders (which included 3 mini pulled pork sandwiches on sweet rolls with cole slaw and pickles) and my wife ordered the Chicken Philly. Being a traveler in a strange city, I was very fortunate to find this restaurant. Prime rib is offered on Thursday and Friday evenings. It was one of the best that I've ever had. Most restaurants buy their prime rib pre-cooked from Food suppliers like Sysco, but what I was served was truly a melt-in-your-mouth prime cut of beef that was cooked to perfection in this restaurant. If I lived in Sumter South Carolina, I'd be one of their regular customers. There is no wonder why their parking lot was so crowded, their good food draws in the crowds. read more

It was really hot and humid outside. Some issues with the HVAC vents dripping condensation on us while seated at a table. No croissants? Most people come here just for those! And no chicken tenders? We've been into Willie Sue's numerous times when we have a sit down there's never been an issue but we had friends over at the house so we made a call in order I get there and I'm told it'll be about 20 minutes so 40 minutes later I go back in and I'm told that the order didn't go through because of an issue that they had to go but no one came out to tell us four different cars were waiting the manager came out and it said I'm very sorry he didn't sound sorry he said it will be another 15 20 minutes what was it I ordered I told him I told him what my order was he personally walked it out to me and I asked this really wasn't acceptable they should've had someone realize that no one had come out to take care of orders for over 40 minutes because I was sitting out there and I know he shrugged his shoulders and then I asked if they are on yelp and he goes no I don't think so I go so how can someone make a complaint or anything he goes I'm sure you can find something online and then he walked away and to really put the icing on the cake the order was entirely wrong they didn't give us half the stuff we ordered the meat was over cooked read more
