We had a friend who had visited Brunswick and recommend the Wee-Nee Wagon to us, so we swung by and gave it a go. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. So first, this is the kind of place you want to like. It's a local hole in the wall that serves up American staples, like hotdogs, in a no frills environment. I absolutely love the concept of it. But the execution leaves a lot be desired. I'll explain. We showed up at about 3PM on a Saturday. Not prime dinning hours by any means but it seemed fairly busy. There were a few people in front of us in line and there was nobody at the counter. There is an online ordering option which my friend opted to use. I decided to wait it out. Nobody was the counter initially but someone eventually showed up and she was clearly stressed and yelled to the back to ask for help with the line. I was able to get my order in along with the rest of my friends and we went to take a seat. I described the atmosphere as "no frills" and I wasn't lying. There really isn't much seating and it is all functionally outside in a screened in section. Not a big deal, it kind of adds to the charm. They even have heaters if it's chilly. It became apparent shortly after finding seating that food was simply not coming out. There is a window where they call your name and hand you your order and nothing was coming out. What was the issue? No clue. We all ordered hotdogs and waited about 30 minutes. The guy who ordered last ended up getting his order first. I mean, OK whatever. But it was very clear that there was little to no organization in the process. My friend who ordered online finally figured out that if your order online you have to go back to the counter to get the food (your name won't be called from the window). And of course there was no signage stating this. When he did finally get his order it was incorrect but it'd taken so long to get it he just ate it. The cherry on top was that I received a text telling me my food was ready 2 hours after I'd ordered it. By this time I was having a beer at one of the local breweries. The food itself was fine but really nothing special. It also wasn't cheap. $5 a hotdog and $4 for a coke that wasn't even cold. By the end of it I couldn't leave fast enough. All in all, not a great customer experience. But I feel like there are vast improvements that could be made in terms of the efficiency of the process. Maybe we caught them on a bad day. But I struggle to see the appeal. If/when I'm in Brunswick next I will not be returning.

Upon my recent relocation to Brunswick, I was reminded of my childhood visits to this iconic establishment. Its timeless charm and significance as a city landmark remain evident. The exceptional service, characterized by its warmth and friendliness, continues to be a hallmark of this establishment. The culinary offerings are equally impressive, ensuring a memorable dining experience for those visiting the area. Also the cookie was amazing

My son-in-law's family is from Brunswick, and apparently this place has been a tradition for years. He recommended the hotdogs and the pork sandwich, so I had to try one of each. While the hotdog was good, the pork sandwich tasted amazing. The meat is tender and very flavorful. Based upon what other reviewers have said, yes, there are no prices on the big menu on the wall. However, there is a small menu on the window that appears to have the pricing. I guess it's a traditional southern thing, but I found it a little odd that most of the sandwiches come with a sweet tea. You can substitute for a soft drink for a dollar. There are outdoor tables and a small interior area as well. it's a little too hot eating outside during the summer months. I would definitely consider returning and recommending this place based upon the perfectly seasoned pork sandwich. Yummy! Cheers

Friendly Southern service. Excellent sweet tea that is complimentary with some meals. Food comes out quick, and they got our customations correct. Great chili. Lots of easy parking. Inside and outside seating. Dog friendly. Everything that a hot dog stand should be. Thanks. We'll be back!

Food was good, fries are frozen but were decent, chili not homemade, polish dog was on the sweet side compared to traditional ones. Price - decent Negative - they price gouge you when you order a Soda, no fountain only bottles and they charge $3.25 for 16.9 oz basically the single size bottle Customer Service - not great

Loved the sauce. * Wings were solid good. * Service was nice, like genuinely nice. *The pickle chips had a perfect crisp to them * decent selection of beers and cocktails What could of been better: * The fries could have been crisp. A little soggy or limp. But they were good. Just had a fun visit and enjoyed the place. Will come back.

Tipsy McSway's is open until 10 PM and the kitchen stops taking orders at 9 PM. After looking over the menu, I decided to try the Brunswick stack sandwich. I had hoped to try the tomato bisque soup as my side, but unfortunately, they only serve chili, not soup, on Mondays. So instead, I ordered the fried potato salad as my side, and it was surprisingly delicious. It comes with small diced potatoes in a warm savory mustard sauce. When I originally asked the bartender what he recommended, he mentioned the Brunswick stack sandwich as well as the smash burgers. While the sandwich was good, I would probably try one of the burgers next time. Nevertheless, I would definitely get the fried potato salad again. The next time I'm in the area, I would definitely consider returning to Tipsy McSway's and I would recommend it to others as well. Cheers

This…read moreyear we're in town closer to New Year's and thankfully, we were able to try Maggie Mae's in downtown Brunswick. This definitely appears to be a popular place with locals because most people are greeted by name as they enter the restaurant. I was greeted with a smile and a good morning as soon as I entered the restaurant. They gave me a menu and told that I could sit anywhere I would like. The server was very friendly and relatively attentive. The dining room is adequately filled with six large larger tables and a number of smaller ones that are perfect for two people. They also have four picnic tables outside. They serve breakfast and lunch all day. Yelp shows that they're open until 3 PM, but the menu shows 7 AM to 2 PM Monday through Friday, and the grill is turned off at 1:30 PM. I decided to try their ham and cheese omelette. The menu shows a peace symbol next to the best selling items. The omelette comes with hashbrowns or grits and your choice of toast. The server suggested raisin toast or the biscuit. I typically do not order biscuits because they tend to be dry. Their biscuit was surprisingly good. It was sliced in half and grilled on both sides. It tasted soft and moist after applying butter and strawberry jam. Similar to the biscuit, the ham and cheese omelette was also really good. It was loaded with ham and there was possibly a little more ham than cheese. Overall, I had a positive experience. The food tasted great, and the service felt personable and exemplified southern hospitality. I would definitely consider returning, and I would recommend Maggie Mae's to others Cheers

Where else in the world can you bump into a colleague from three-plus decades ago by accident?…read more We stopped in after reviewing quick lunch spots after leaving Saint Simons. Maggie Mae's look fun and it was. Food: a unique, toasted Cuban sans mustard with a heap of tater tots. Also tasty egg salad with pasta salad. Both with water. All good. Ambiance: this is a local oasis with a wide breakfast and lunch menu, including soup of the day. Sandwiches are specialities but we hate to have missed breakfast. Not opulent but a hometown feel you can't import. Service. Perfect. From ordering to delivery to a quick "hey" from the boss. We'll go again when in the area.
