After eating the first dozen,we ordered another six wings with the Carolina sauce. Overall, the wings were good but didn't like the blue cheese or ranch dressing so much. The salad with red fish was also fine. My wife liked the fish, but I thought it was a little bit tough Overall, it was a nice experience and I would probably go back for the Thursday $10 burger special. I would rate this at a 3.6 but with yelp I have to stick the whole numbers and it's not quite at the level of a 4.0. Good service and good experience.

We started with the bacon wrapped blue cheese dates - the dates are served on tooth picks and looked great but the blue cheese overpowered the flavor of everything else. My wife ordered the special of the day (not on everyday menu) which was shrimp tacos with a black bean pineapple salsa and house made chips and fries. I opted for the house burger with cheddar cooked medium and chips and fries. It took a long time for our food to come out and after observing our server chatting it with a table of her friends who were behind us, I am pretty sure she may have forgot to order it in a timely manner. When our food came it was auctioned off to us by another team member (no server to be found). My wife's tacos were overstuffed and fell apart. I tried one and the fried shrimp tasted really fishy to me, not like fried shrimp is supposed to taste. My burger was okay but nothing special. Really wanted to like this place but it did not live up to our expectations.

There is a bar, with bar seating, The other seating consisted of normal table with hard back chairs, and couches that ran down the side of the wall with tables, and hard back chairs on the other side. Overall, the service was adequate, not good, and certainly not great, but good enough not to stop us from enjoying our night out. I started with what was supposed to be a cup of Tomato Bisque but received and paid for a bowl. Somewhat my fault for not realizing that my serving and what I paid for was large and more expensive than the cup I ordered. With that said, I thought the flavor of the bisque served with, Garlic Buttered Crostini, and grated Smoked Gouda was outstanding. The temperature could have been a bit warmer, but again the flavor was sport on. The wife and I split a very large bowl of PEI Mussels. The Mussels were served in a white wine broth with Shallots, Garlic, Roasted Tomatoes, and Bacon. Honestly, I could and did finish the broth off as a soup. There were quite a few Mussels that did not open, but the bowl was so large, we wouldn't have eaten them anyway. The wife's main dish was the Pan Seared Sea Scallops, with peach and bacon risotto, and fresh Spinach. The dish was finished with an amazing Bourbon Peach Brown Butter Reduction. The scallops were large, the Risotto was great, but the brown butter reduction was the absolute star of the dish. For my main dish I had the Curried Lamb Lollipops, served over Cilantro Basmati Rice, and roasted Tomatoes with an excellent curry sauce. The chops were of good size and cooked to perfection. And please don't even get me started on the fired Garlic Butter Paratha which is some of the best bread I have ever had. My mistake was ordering a side of the Peach and Bacon Risotto similar to what was served with the scallop dish. Without the Bourbon Peach Brown Butter Reduction however, the risotto ate a little dry and had little to no peach flavor. I finished my meal with a bourbon , Mascarpone, bread pudding, which was amazing. The dish was loaded with bourbon which both my wife and I agreed was not completely cooked off. Great dish to finish an outstanding meal. Even with a few minor missteps, the overall flavor of the dishes were so good, I still must give it an overall 5.

When I naturally reacted with shock and told her it was rude, she immediately took offense and began acting as if I had disrespected her. I was trying so hard not to cry or let it ruin my night. When I mentioned to my friend how badly my feelings were hurt, Mattie chimed in to say, "I already feel bad about it," before continuing to storm around behind the bar with an annoyed attitude. Not once did she actually say "I'm sorry," and she made absolutely no effort to fix the situation or soften the insult. Her complete lack of a real apology and her defensive behavior turned a careless mistake into an incredibly hostile and hurtful interaction. Customer service should mean making guests feel welcome, not making them want to cry two minutes after walking through the door. There was even a moment where she went to share with who I can only assume were regulars, what had been said and only stopped when I made direct eye contact with her to say a nonsensical "and yeah" as she walked off to say "anyone else need anything?!?" like she hadn't been on the verge of expressing HER bad experience to her buddies. The mean girl energy was the only top notch thing about her service. On top of that horrid taste in my mouth at the very start, the drink she made was so sweet, it was almost undrinkable. I guess she didn't hear me mention that the 4 or 5 times I did, because she never chimed in on that. Even when it came to the checks, she took off the second drink my friend ordered - who she didn't gravely insult as soon as they walked in. I still tipped 40% on my tab, but not because she deserved it, but because I'm sure some portion of it is given to the much more deserving staff. Mattie, that really sucked. Woman to woman - you know better. I don't care how long you have been there or how good or not good you are at your job - that was disrespectful, unprofessional, and unnecessary. Next time, just follow the law and ID everyone. Chef - great job! The street corn gnocchi was to die for. The guy who I think was the manager - thank you for laughing with us as we sang along to Blink 182. You were all otherwise very welcoming, dressed professionally, and all around offered a great atmosphere I'd be happy to come back to and get a table at.

Outstanding service and food. their smash markers are made on Jewish challah breads ! Hot dog are fried in beef tallow, and are all beef and come from Wisconsin. In the winter, their soups are fantastic, leak, potato, cream of broccoli, lentil, and they won the chili cookoff for the Golden aisles recently. They also have a fantastic breakfast that runs from 9 to 3 on weekends and 11 on weekdays, they have homemade cinnamon rolls and fried pies and gooey gooey bars and wonderful cheesecake. outstanding food! The owner Hannah is so friendly and the chef is classically trained, but he can do so much on that grill! Wonderful hamburgers, delicious, cinnamon rolls, and cat head biscuits. While the food is superb, the service is un paralleled and so fast! my husband and I eat here four times a week! Also, there are specials like Rueben sandwiches and pork on Rosemary bread. so really special they get from a wonderful we highly recommend! give it a try! you will love it! read more

Ripper'z is hands down the BEST hotdog spot I've ever been to. The fried hotdogs are absolutely incredible...crispy, flavorful, and unlike anything else around. Every bite was incredible. On top of the food being 10/10, the staff were unbelievably friendly and welcoming. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and creating a delicious and fun experience.
