Traditional breakfast favorites are served on generous plates with bottomless cups of coffee, with gentle, swift and cheerful competence by their floor crew. Lunch offerings include deli sandwiches, diner favorites, soups, salads and snacks. I'm especially excited to try their shakes, malts and ice cream sundaes on one of these hot summer days in the near future. Staff is great, really attentive. The food reminds me of home, taste great but is a little bit of a greasy spoon. Patrons and the restaurant itself really have a home town feel. I definitely suggest stopping by if you're in the area. read more

Fast & friendly home cooked meal feel. Can't go wrong with saving room for a slice of pie, in fact, it's recommended! Serving sizes are just right to generous. Bonus, they serve breakfast all day too! The front dining area was flooded with sunshine through the gigantic picture windows, plenty of seating for groups. Tip: park in the back if there's spots or reverse in if parking up front and traffic allows. Being right on the highway makes it a bit tough to back out into traffic on busy weekends. read more

In honor of 4th of July week, I thought I'd go check out the most #Americana cafe, I could find, near me! It turns out, it'sin Silvana, WA and called Willow & Jim's Country Cafe ()This little town and cafe remind me a bit of of the Fried Green Tomatoes movie and the Whistle Stop Cafe! Everyone gathers there, because the food and service are so good! I love how people are greeted by all of these stars and stripes, when they walk in! This place sure was packed, with everyone, especially all of the local golden girls and church goers! This is a major hotspot, in downtown Silvana and I'm living for it!!! Before eating, it wasn't worth $96, and we should have declined the order when told the price at the counter as we weren't given a total over the phone. After eating, it definitely wasn't worth $96. Most notably: -Plain unseasoned burger patty. -Unsalted fries. We like to support local businesses, but this is a classic, "we charge whatever we want and you'll pay it pricing because we're taking advantage of the fact that we're your only option nearby." This place is always so busy and now I know why. There is some parking in front and then across the street next to the railroad tracks. We were seated pretty quickly in the back next to a large window with plenty of sunlight. Our server was very friendly even though could tell she was handling a lot of tables. I had the corned beef hash breakfast, with two eggs, hash browns and toast. The hash is a bit mushier but very tasty. The eggs were cooked perfectly over easy. The hash browns were crispy on top and soft underneath. The rye toast was already buttered, so if you don't like that make sure to ask for it dry. There are a few stores including the five and dime/antique store to check out after. read more

My family and I came here at the end of my BIL's wedding weekend and it was delightful! The servers were so friendly, and the food came out quickly. It was really cozy and comfortable and a great place to sit and chat. And the food!! The hashbrowns were our favorite part - so crispy and delicious! And the eggs and everything were great too! We love this truly "country cafe" and drive 50 miles to enjoy it. It's like going to grandma's house at Thanksgiving. The very plentiful portions of freshly prepared food to the quaint old comfy chairs and brightly covered tables make a wonderful welcoming experience. The local friendly patrons and excellent service add to the warm ambiance. Every menu item is deliciously prepared and proudly served by a very friendly staff. Out on a quiet country road, this hidden gem is a great place for a hometown breakfast or lunch. Lots of delicious options and the service was great. We hope to return soon. Just 5-10 min off I-5 near Arlington, WA. A few cute shops next door you may want to check out as well. read more

Disappointing! Nothing to write home about. The service was very slow and lackluster. The whole operation seems very disorganized. The food was nothing spectacular. The adults were served several minutes before the children were. We made a special trip to Sylvania just to check this place out and can honestly say that it will be a one & done for us. read more

Ok let's just talk about the pie! Their lemon meta hue pie is simply remarkable. It's not like any run of the mill lemon meringue. Nope! The lemon is creamy like a fine French custard. Service and setting were wonderful, but the food was painfully mediocre. My friend and I stopped here for breakfast with high hopes and walked away disappointed. He ordered the Denver omelette and I went with Joe's special. We agreed that the eggs were blah, and the hashbrowns were greasy and flavorless. The sausage in my scramble was downright gross. I'm wondering if their sweets (pancakes and such) are better. The English muffins and Earl Grey tea were wonderful, but they can't take credit for that. read more

Come hungry because portions are big. Service can be slow when there is a full house but waitstaff is friendly. The food tastes great, I tried the chicken fried steak breakfast with sausage gravy, always ask for extra for the hash browns done crispy without asking. I drive by this place all the time and it is busy, not sure why. I came in for breakfast. Food didn't have much seasoning, wasn't particularly quick or inexpensive. When I came in, the server was processing folks credit card payments and it took awhile for her to acknowledge me. When I went to pay, the server never came to pick up my card (and nobody told me to just pay at the host stand on my way out), so it was a little confusing. read more

Not a fan. The pancake was really thin and rubbery. The sausage tasted like a frozen "brown and serve" and the hash browns were clearly reconstituted from dried. The best little country breakfast! Service is always prompt and the food never disappoints. Definitely add a pancake to whatever breakfast you're eating because they are the best! My party and I wanted breakfast and we wanted it fast. If you're able to back into the spot please do since it's on the main road. We got to seat ourselves and our order was taken almost immediately. American Breakfast We have been coming here for a couple of years now and love the staff and good food. This morning was a complete and total failure in service and the cooks in the kitchen. We arrived for a table of 4. Sat in the back room and watched as customers came in after us. A table of 2 table, another of 2+. A table of 7 and then another table of 2 who ate and laughed as we waited for 3 meals and a bowl of oatmeal. When asked about what was happening she said the meals coming out soon and then served the table after the other 7 right after we asked. We asked another waitress and she said "I don't know not my table." It's pretty sad that when I asked the owner what was going on there and she looked at me like I was the problem. We will never set foot in there again and and you've lost a very loyal Sunday customer. Which probably won't be a problem for you since you guys always look like you're overwhelmed. read more
