Super tiny place. I was a bit nervous as i walked in, I was the only one there. Now, I love breakfast, all the traditional stuff. But they have some white board specials that just seemed wrong. Super friendly folks here. The menu is full of classics. I was tempted by the senior menu, as I am over 60. But didn't want the smaller portions listed there. Plus, I really wanted hash browns. The menu was funny - or I just missed the eggs, bacon and hash browns option. I could get eggs and bacon, or eggs and hash browns. So I had to order a side either way. Hash browns on the side were cheaper, but maybe not, I didn't really notice the entree price. Everything was cooked perfectly and the coffee was good, too. In a small bowl, sitting in the sun were the non-refrigerated half and half plastic containers. Bacon was thick and flavorful. But those "home made" hash browns were the star of this simple meal. A reminder of what I love about American Breakfast. They have all the classics and then some! Lots of egg items - we had over medium, poached & an omelette. All of them were done very well (great egg cook! Thanks!) Grill items aren't greasy and the Bacon lives up to top billing. They know how people have their breakfast routines... 3! The restraunt only has 7 tables. You can possibly put some together to seat more people. We only had 5 so we just moved a chair. Expext about $20 per person. This is a very casual restraunt. The noise level was low. People are served quickly so there is a quick turn over. The food was fantastic. I ordered my iin house made hashbrowns extra crispy. Everything was cooked the way I ordered. DELICIOUS breakfast and friendly service! My sister and I ordered the California Benedict, the Nutella crepes (swapped out the bananas for strawberries) and a side of bacon, crispy. We said we were sharing, and our server split the plates for us! We were impressed with the quality of everything - the freshness of the strawberries and avocado, the perfectly poached egg, the thick flavorful bacon. I was hunting for breakfast for me & my 94 year old father in law - my husband was sick so I had to take care of him - get him some fresh air & sun. This place came up as #2 option on google. It had good ratings, so I figured it'd be better to go to a small business than some overpriced chain. Wow, what a lucky pick! The menu is extensive, all great American breakfast foods - pancakes, waffles, French toasts, benedicts, omlettes, crepes & even Swedish pancakes! I ordered off the senior menu for pops & got myself the corned beef hash - hoping for the best - and a couple orange juices. Let me tell you what - these folks really outdid themselves with the food! Pops ham & eggs was diced up really small & he had literally zero problems chewing & eating. His pancakes were fresh & soft. He cleaned his plate! My corned beef hash was from scratch & literally the best I've ever had at a restaurant! Not too salty! The eggs were perfect over easy & my pancakes were delicious. The syrup was so good! And the juice tasted fresh-squeezed too! Wow! So, I will say this place is tiny - only 9 tables inside & 2 outside with umbrellas. They were really busy with delivery orders too. Clue #1 - they have BACON in their name!!! Great place to stop for breakfast just off I-5 between Seattle and Bellingham. Convenient to the Seattle Outlet Mall. They have a pretty robust breakfast menu for such a small establishment! We were able to take advantage of their senior specials (60+). Perfectly scrambled egg, 2 slices of deliciously smoky thick-cut bacon, and 3 small pancakes for $10! I upgraded to pumpkin pancakes, and they were a little too chewy but the flavor was wonderful! Hubs had the same but chose hash browns instead of cakes. Fewer than 10 tables, but we were a bit past the rush and were seated immediately. Server (maybe the owner?) was super friendly, and never let my coffee cup get empty or cold. We will definitely return! read more

Fast service. We had the worst breakfast I've ever had in my life. Today. Eggs Benedict eggs over cooked similar to a hard boiled egg on top. The hollandaise tasted like it was made with mayonnaise. The hashbrowns soaked in oil like mush. Eggs over easy with the 3 sausage links that were like a precooked weird pale colored possibly turkey or chicken. They looked microwaved. Overall, this was quite the charming sweet cafe stop! For an early lunch Wednesday 5 July 2023, I called in to Bacon Breakfast Cafe and placed an order for a half stack of bacon pancakes (3 pancakes) with syrup. Placing the order was straightforward and it was ready for pick up in about five minutes. I paid when picking up my order and was on my way. The workers I interacted with in-person and over the phone were friendly. Other patrons there at the same time were mindful. Packaging and supplies as part of the to-go order were neat and plentiful. In addition to the three bacon pancakes in their to-go box, the box held a handful of smaller containers filled with syrup. Also in the eco-bag was a package containing utensils and a napkin as well as a number of containers of butter. The pancakes were warm, fluffy, and tasty. The bacon was well cooked and distributed throughout each pancake. I found I enjoyed the syrup as a topping. The serving size was just right. read more

This place used to be great, now it's awful. I was excited to show my friend how great it was, instead I was left embarrassed. I'm really sad over my experience. The food: my kid got biscuits and gravy. The biscuit had a funny texture and the gravy tasted off, like maybe the milk was going bad? It came with pancakes with a "buttery spread". Gross. I got a hash omelette. It was bland, hash tasted like it was on is 2nd day. Hash browns were soggy. I added a bunch of salt and pepper I ate it all because I was hungry and out of time to find something else, but I would never recommend it to anyone. My friend got eggs bene, the hollandaise was off. Closer to a lemon curd than a hollandaise. The aversion to butter in this place was apparent. Service: AWFUL. No refill on the coffee. When I asked for a water that was forgotten, she didn't even look at me then comes back with the water and slams it on the table. Gives me a dead stare and asks if I need anything else. For some reason this woman is pissed off at me. No smiles, no pleasantries. I'm assuming she's having a bad day, maybe overworked. But whenever an older couple walks in, she's all smiles and warm, refilling coffee's and waters etc. I felt like a burden to this woman, maybe she assumed I don't tip well. Typically I pride myself in 20-30% tips. But not today, not when you're working hard to make sure I'm having a bad experience. Ambience is awful too. It's crowded and tiny. Which is fine when food and service are fantastic. But the dirty establishment is now a reflection of how downhill they have gone. Patronizing this place actually ruined my morning it was so bad. Total bill for 3 meals: $57 Worth it: No Just go to the Village on 4th Street. Food is better and service is WAY better. read more

I didn't know what I was getting into other than brunch before the casino but wowza was I happy to stumble here! I got on the list for the very small dining area and went back to the car. The amount of time waited was less than quoted and we were in ordering in no time. The food was great, but the bacon was amazing. Just the right amount on the plate (I hate taking left overs) and the service was wonderful. The only down side is that it's in Marysville, but I can make the trek on occasion. Nothing fancy but the service was outstanding, the coffee delicious (with frequent toppers), and the food absolutely delicious! My husband is a picky hash brown eater and he loved his straight up alongside two eggs over easy, sausage and sourdough toast. He inhaled his. I'm not a fan of eggs so I ordered the Hash Browns with onion, green peppers and cheese-- simply delicious! I eyed the pancakes being served to others and will try those next time! They also have a Senior Menu for those of us over 60, and the variety of offerings was amazing and also, prices scaled back to reflect the smaller portion size too. The staff seemed very friendly and it honestly didn't take long to get our order. I ordered Eggs Benedict it's one of my go to breakfast items it's not the easiest item to make so if it's on the menu it better be good. This one was not the ham and eggs were great I appreciate that my eggs were cooked perfectly especially for Togo poached eggs but hollandaise sauce is a rich creamy sauce thiers was a over cooked sour sweet custard... I should of tasted it before I put it on my food. My bfs omelet was sort of stuffed but the egg didnt look good it looked over cooked. I was staying at the hotel across the street and wanted something more than the usual hotel free breakfast. I read reviews before giving this place a try and was hoping it would be good. I really like good hash browns and since they are supposed to be fresh made in house I hoped they were above average. Based on other reviews I ordered mine "extra crispy" unfortunately there wasn't nothing "crispy" about them and they were not good at all, I think they need to buy the frozen hash browns from their food service supplier, they have to be better than their own.... The eggs were cooked perfectly and the pancakes were very good, the biscuits and gravy were average at best. It was better than the hotel breakfast but not worth $20 read more

Whoever decides the menu and prices needs some restaurant training to learn what constitutes a meat and egg breakfast, ESPECIALLY for the very high prices (everything on the menu just went up another dollar.) it's just not worth what you get when you still leave hungry. Food is mediocre, bacon used to be awesome but not cooked to order anymore. The head person running the register has a bad attitude. Sorry I disturbed you by coming in for breakfast. Well as stated in the title - get the bacon! Firm and crisp but not overly, the fat is crisp too which I definitely prefer to a limp piece of bacon. My husband got the cinnamon swirl French toast and I had the Nutella banana crepes with added strawberries. Not my usual go to choice for breakfast but I'm happy I tried it out! A little pricier than our typical breakfast out but it's a solid spot with nice servers. It's a small place so get there a little early! read more

Update some 6+ years since the first review: We've been back to the place maybe once a year but today was our last trip. It's still obnoxiously loud, but the quality of food has gone down. I ordered a bacon waffle that arrived under cooked and therefore very dense and doughy. My wife's hash browns were also undercooked and under seasoned. And the price now match or are higher than Dennys/IHOP. I'm happy for them that they're still in business, and wish them the best. We're moving on though. read more
