Over the past several years: * My original provider, Dr. Tanya, left the practice. * My subsequent provider went on leave. * I have been waiting over a year and a half to enroll in a PTSD class; a manager previously promised assistance but has been on leave, with no further follow-up. More recently, I have been ill for over 3.5 weeks. On March 9th , I called the call center as instructed to report I would be late for my appointment and to request a telephone visit. The representative advised me to go to urgent care instead. Upon arriving at urgent care, I spoke with a manager who apologized and stated the call center should have immediately messaged the clinic on my behalf. The clinic staff were very helpful and kind. The supervisor assured me a doctor would call me back that day due to the severity of my symptoms. No call occurred. When I followed up with the call center and requested to speak to a supervisor, I was connected to Aundrea. During this call: * She was argumentative and unprofessional. * She showed no compassion despite my explaining my ongoing illness and recent urgent care visit (where providers suggested possible cancer or thyroid issues, though ER tests later ruled this out). * She referenced a phone interaction from over 2 years ago, treated me as problematic, spoke dismissively, and refused to assist. * She declined to contact the clinic or help resolve the issue. I requested the earliest available appointment with my provider, Dr. Ngyuin (or current assigned provider), and asked for clarification on their status/availability. I also noted prior issues, including a rushed March 2 telephone appointment where the doctor only addressed allergies, refused other concerns, promised a follow-up call that never happened, and required me to reschedule independently (which a helpful representative did for March 9). Despite these requests, I received no further communication from the clinic or doctor as promised. Due to worsening symptoms, I went to the emergency room, where testing confirmed a serious infection (including giardiasis) and a nasty virus. I was very ill and required treatment. My primary concerns are: 1. Repeated failure to follow through on promises (e.g., doctor callback, PTSD class enrollment assistance). 2. Unprofessional, dismissive, and argumentative behavior by call center supervisor Aundrea, which made me feel disrespected and discouraged from seeking care. 3. Overall barriers to timely access, provider continuity, and compassionate service--particularly challenging as a Medi-Cal patient. I hope this can be investigated, including coaching or review for the call center supervisor, improved follow-up processes, and resolution of my pending appointments/classes. I would appreciate a prompt response and confirmation of next steps.

This did not occur with my first kid that I had at Kaiser! The original anesthesiologist was an older woman. She seems frustrated and couldn't get her hands still. She got upset after I told her the needle wasn't placed right. At this point she kept asking where do you feel it and get jamming it in more. This almost caused me to pass out. She was very rude and not helpful. I knew she messed up at that very moment. When she entered the room she didn't have any bedside manner. I expect anesthesiologist who is giving an epidural to be cordial... Now 6 months later after having my baby.. I'm constantly in pain and having severe neck and shoulder pain. I'm just being told to get another blood patch. Staff needs to be better trained. Another woman was in the ER with me for the same reason. So this is definitely a Sutter issue.

This location seems to serve a wide variety of patients, so I typically only come here for pediatrics for my son or women's health for myself. Unfortunately, my experiences here have been pretty inconsistent. Parking is one of my frustrations. There are several parking spots available, but the areas closest to the departments I need always feel overcrowded and difficult to manuever due to tight paths. It can already start your visit off on a stressful note searching for parking. Service here is very hit-or-miss. A few months ago, I brought my son in for his middle school immunizations, and everything went smoothly. The staff was friendly, efficient, and we really appreciated how easy that visit was. However, our most recent visit on Tuesday, February 17th was a completely different experience. We checked in right on time at noon at Suite 1C on the first floor and were told to head up to the second floor. Once we got there at the instructed room (214?), there was a sign on the door asking patients to wait and please do not knock so as not to disturb others. We ended up waiting about 30 minutes, which thankfully we could accommodate that day, but it still felt like a long time given that we had an appointment. When we were finally seen, the staff member confirmed my son's information and what shots he needed, including his COVID booster. She asked if he wanted both shots in one arm or one in each arm, and he chose one per arm. What happened next was honestly concerning. She administered both shots very quickly--which would have been fine--but then placed the bandages after the fact without properly aligning them with the injection sites. She put a bandage on each arm, but not where the shots were actually given. I quickly noticed that both injection sites were still bleeding because the bandages were misplaced. While she was putting away supplies, I had to put on new bandages myself. As a parent, that really didn't sit well with me. I understand efficiency, but basic care and attention to detail--especially when it comes to preventing infection--should not be overlooked. My son also noticed the error and found it unprofessional as well. The appointment felt rushed from start to finish, especially after already waiting a significant amount of time. I didn't say anything in the moment because we just wanted to leave, but it's something worth noting for anyone visiting this location. Based on my experiences, I would definitely choose the Fair Oaks location instead but unfortunately, for my son, we have to come to this location for Pediatrics.

More recently I started to see a dermatologist. First visit was very quick, glanced at my face and gave some care instructions. Things worsened and I felt the doc wasn't doing much examining rather than just prescribing creams and meds. Already not feeling confident with her, this last visit(or no visit) led me to terminate care with her. Appointments are not only hard to get, our personal schedules are also busy. I waited close to 2 months for this appointment. It was an early one at 7:30am. I live out of town, there is traffic, I tried calling twice while I was on the road. No answer. In the photo is my dash cam that captures my arrival at 7:35am I checked in and glanced at the time, it said 7:37am. I took a seat and was called back up moments later to be told that the doctor would not see me because of my 7 minutes late arrival... & to be completely honest based on my previous experiences with this doc she probably would've spent less than 7 minutes looking at my skin anyway. I was livid. Also, how many times have we all arrived for an appointment ON TIME and had to wait way more than seven minutes to be seen because our DOCTOR is running behind?! The double standard is wild. These are personal things, but I had been traveling for work all week. I was exhausted but knew I needed to make it. It was an early morning appointment. I drove a pretty long way. My visit wasn't anything intricate. I was SHOCKED. In complete disbelief. I think I'd understand if maybe I was 15+ minutes late. Or perhaps consistently late for every appointment but SEVEN minutes late one time & turned away. Not like I didn't take time away from work, or sacrificed sleep, or drove 30+ minutes to get there. Life happens and she should just be a little more considerate of that. Especially in a space where we go for "care." I have had nothing but great experiences here until my dermatology visits with Dr Nguyen. I'm going to start seeing someone new at a different clinic, hoping I will have a better experience.

When I decided to get on methadone it was with a fellow user and old timer to boot. Being new to…read moreSacramento I had no idea which clinics were good and which were subpar and because this would be my first go on methadone as a treatment tool to battle my heroin addiction, I wanted to give myself the best possible chance at making a real go of it. Kicking was never the problem- highly, highly and did I mention highly, UNPLEASANT but I can be disciplined when I need to be and whenever my addiction was starting to really mess with my life and I could only scrounge up enough money to keep me from getting sick, I would go cold turkey. Problem was 6-8 months down the line I'd inevitably run into someone and think 'oh I can just chip a little on occasions'. Therefore I needed to try something different and methadone seemed like the best bet. I started on methadone 7 years ago and have been clean off heroin 6 years now and I strongly believe that had to do with the level of care I received from CORE. The old timer who helped guide me had been to every clinic in Sacramento and said CORE was the best. It wasn't easy in the beginning because I was homeless and staying near the freeway at Auburn and Watt so it was difficult to get my butt down there. Once I found myself riding back and forth on the blue line from end to end until it was too late to get my daily dose. I had chosen to decrease my heroin while I increased my methadone- seemed to make sense and it did work but in the beginning I was still sometimes getting high off the heroin which is why I kept nodding out back and forth on the train. By the time I reached my current dose, I was mostly done with the drug but it's a wicked little worm. Eventually I moved to midtown to be closer to the clinic and then eventually got into housing and would take medical transportation, a free service for people on medi-cal and on Sundays I always rode with another old timer, but she was an og as well and all the sudden started giving me pieces of heroin for free...until it wasn't free no more. Classic tale, but the thing is you don't really get that punch from heroin when you're on methadone...sure you get a little buzz but not enough to make it worth paying for it, in my opinion. After that foray, I never did it again. I don't crave it either like I did when I kicked cold turkey. Can you get high off methadone? Yes. There are people who abuse the drug just like everything else but it never even occurred to me until I moved to a new spot recently and my roommate had developed quite the little habit of methadone. That's one big perk about CORE because of its location they don't allow people to mingle or hang out in front of the clinic which is where most of the drug dealing gets done at other clinics. Also my experience with the counselors has been stellar. I was with my first counselor up until like 6 months ago (she was offered a better position at another clinic) and she was my family for all those years, in fact the years I was on the street, she was my emergency contact! Sure CORE's not perfect- I've had issues here and there but I can honestly say that if I hadn't found CORE when I did, I'd most definitely be dead. With humility, thanks CORE for saving my life...or rather giving me a reason to save it myself.

In all the time of my mom's appointments and having to deal with different medical things she finally found a place that works well for her. Recently, we went to see Dr. Glasrud, I just want to say from the bottom of my heart as someone in healthcare I go above and beyond for all those I encounter and I finally felt someone do that for someone I love which is my mom! The way she didn't just do it herself but kept her promise helping my mom get into her echo appointment was very above the norm. Most doctors send a message to the back office in hopes that they will work on something and get it done when you can, often times the front office will get calls following up on those messages, following up on those items and the patient falls to the wayside. It is really nice and refreshing to know there's a doctor out there that is caring for their patients. I don't expect a doctor to always take on the role and do something themselves, but the fact that one would in a time that something needed to be done in a timely matter is a huge deal to me. I find most people only wanna do reviews when they have something to complain about. I really like to make sure that we know the people that are doing a good job. This location has been really nice.
