Willow Glen is one of 3 courses at sycuan. It has the same start box house as Oak Glen so don't get confused. Pine Glen is the executive course and has its own area. Did a 2pm tee off on a Friday and not many people were behind us. Was a nice change of pace compared to other courses where you're constantly getting teed off on. Tee boxes: Green and OK Fairways: lots of leaves and clutter making it hard to spot a ball Greens: short and quite fast but also uneven so it is difficult on a longer putt. Carts: you get an ice box but to get ice you have to buy something from the snack bar. V cheeky. Holes themselves do not have too much challenge to them but it is a decently fun course. Not much elevation. A couple holes do have some elevation and challenge though. Average course, I'd come back if in the area. read more

Im only commenting on the golf here...Worst value in San Diego 1/10. The greens may have been the worse greens that I have ever played..., extremely soft, muddy, under repair, uneven, ball marks not repairable due to poor condition. Literally every course in San Diego is in better condition, par 3s, coastal, inland courses, less expensive courses. My Father and I have been coming to Sycuan since I could hit a golf ball, we don't play here much anymore as I live closer to the coast. Sadly, we wont be back. We spoke with the pro shop after to see what was up...There seems to be a huge disconnect between the players, grounds crew, and superintendent. We saw multiple employees watering soaked greens in the middle of 100 degree weather. If they are having problems keeping the course up, the rate needs to reflect this, or at least a notice needs to be made. read more

Everyone here was exceptionally upbeat and helpful. My buddy and I played willow glen today. The course looked amazing. Very well maintained. Greens were smooth and fast. Carts have gps. Tees are easy to find even if it's your first time. There are a lot of hazards and the course is moderately difficult. I would love to come back soon. read more

Wow, I was pleasantly surprised by how incredible the golf course is here. I have golfed at many golf courses in San Diego but this is probably one of the nicest. The condition is incredible. Especially for having drought conditions in the area. They must have access to the water from the nearby river or water source because the entire Willow Glen course was in incredible condition! It was so green it looked like artificial grass but it was all natural. They have some spectacular views. They have 3 courses out here. Two par 3 courses and Willow Glen. This is a bit of a hike from North County, San Diego but definitely worth the drive. I'll start coming out here monthly. read more

This is a GOLF only review. I can't comment on the hotel, casino or restaurant. Tee boxes are in wonderful condition. I played Willow Glen I believe. Fairways, great condition. Greens..... I'm not going to lie... If you can't check the ball you are going to add a stroke or two each hole. But the greens ARE IMMACULATE. No divot marks (it looks like people repair their ball marks) and since it was slow (and quite windy) I saw them using a machine to water the grass evenly and properly. The carts are great. Quick and better than most courses for the same price. I honestly feel this place is a gem. I shot an 86 (I'm about a 12 handicap right now) The service crew, people around the course are amazing. Our cart woman was pretty, knowledgeable and berry kind (yes I used berry instead of very lol) The starter, was an ass. He was mean to my guest and I. I thought maybe he was just having a bad day but when someone called on the intercom he was sweet and polite. But this place is where to golf if you're in San D. I will be back each time I visit. read more

" Golf Course is Turning Brown and Dying " The Willow Glen golf course is NOT called the Singing Hills Country Club anymore. Years ago the entire golf course was purchased by the Sycuan Indian Reservation. So it is now called the Sycuan Resort. The Willow Glen Course used to be one of my favorite courses in all of San Diego. But the course must be running out of water. The entire course is now brown instead of green. And the down the street the Cotton Wood Golf course, which only charges $27 for a round of golf with a golf cart, is now way greener and nicer looking than the Sycuan Courses. Sycuan is still charging up to $91.00 for a round of golf on Willow Glen with a golf cart. Come on Sycuan, spend some of that casino money and drill some more wells, find some new water, and get the courses you have back to the level they used to be at. read more

This is a GREAT location for a multi day event with a group. We have been there 2x now and both events were taken care of really well. Overall the Resort Accommodations are above average and really good for San Diego area compared to what you get. As part of our package, Hotel ran $115 per night (we had double occupancy so this was split) and golf was $65 a round. Willow Glen is a very very nice track. Overall conditions were very good during our March stay. course has some very nice character to it, a couple of holes with great elevation change to give you a challenge and are very playable / challenging for ALL handicap levels. Oak Glen course is nice, but does not have anywhere near the character and feel of the Willow Glen course. It is just a nice run of the mill layout, plays a number of strokes easier than Willow Glen. This is a nice change of pace if you are having a multi day event. Additionally they have an 18 hole par 3 course, Pine Glen. Honestly, never been on it, but it looks to be in very good shape. Restaurant here is Fantastic. See separate review of that establishment. All in all, this is a great location for a multi day group event, you really never need to leave the facility as there is really solid golf, a fantastic restaurant and if you want a 24 hour free shuttle to the Casino which is only about 10-15 minutes away. read more

This review is my opinion on golf and not the casino or hotel. Staff: In my case they were not really friendly, but they got the job done and were right to the point which I don't mind. They got me out there fast so I was happy. Course: My round cost me $120 for the weekend and honestly for that price I can find a few better course I'd rather play. This is not to say it was a bad course and I did have a lot fun out there except for a few issues with the some of the slow play, but it was a weekend so it was to be expected. Overall: Not a special course by my standards, but not bad either. I'll come back and get a second look. read more

Yesterday the 17th we golfed at Willow Glen golf course and experienced a bad day because of the dead greens and not kept up golf course. Today the 18th we golfed pine glen and also had a bad time because of the uneven greens and the fairways that were all dirt with dry dead grass, hard to even hit out of. The tee boxes were full of holes to the point you couldn't even find a flat spot. These courses are not worth the prices. read more

One star and would give no stars if possible. I booked a tee time for the Willow Glen course, that part was easy, sign up and make a tee time. That's where the good ends. We checked in, were told to go see the starter and play golf. At no time were we told there was tournament going on. We arrived to the fourth hole to find a group of players teeing off. This group of four players proceeded to each hit two to four balls each. on the following hole, as a twosome, we asked to go ahead of them. This nearly turned into a fist fight. After three calls to the course manager, he arrived to greet us on the 11th hole. We were informed that the group was part is lager group of players ahead of them and they were friends of the Indian tribe that owns the course and they can really do what they want. This is crap. Steer clear of this place. it's expensive and not worth the money to play under these conditions. Best advise, go to Cottonwood. The condition of the course is WAY better and half the price. I will never play there again. read more

I just played this course and I must say I was so impressed, I actually called everyone I know and told them about this place. Even though most hung-up on me, those who listened got to hear that this resort has three different 18 hole coursed. I played Willow Glen and let me tell you, for being in a level 2 water shortage, I don't know how this place is so green. Amazing views all-around and riddled with trees everywhere (if you haven't developed a punch shot, this is place to start). Signature holes for me were the 4th hole (Par 4) and the 12th hole (Par 3). Weekend twighlight rates on-line let me play this course (Willow Glen) for only $39. A steal. Play this course, you will not regret it. read more

I played the Willow Glenn course. The round was a great value! The course was in wonderful shape (especially the greens) and was fun to play. If you are looking for a no frills course but a decent challenge, definitely check this place out. I hope to play it again soon. read more

I was in town on business and wanted to get a round in at a San Diego course I hadn't played before, for a reasonable price. I had played both Torrey Pines courses, Maderas, and Steele Canyon on prior trips. I will never return to this place. PROS: Greens were in good shape and rolled true. Got a good rate on golfnow.com. CONS: PACE OF PLAY. It took us 3 and a half hours to play 10 holes, and I quit after that. Completely ridiculous. They pack golfers onto 8-minute tee times and don't care once they've got your money. We complained multiple times to a ranger, who shrugged his shoulders and said "Yeah it's busy." What a joke. I have run golf courses on the east coast for years, and there's no excuse for management this poor. Besides all the waiting, the course (Willow Glen) was nothing to write home about. As I said, greens were in good shape. But the layout is pretty unimaginative, and it's short and easy. I played from the tips, and still couldn't hit my driver on about half the par 4's. read more

Went in to play on New Years Eve and was told to get the military discount I had to get the Patriot Gold Club Card. They said it was $55.00 and the first round is free. So I did, even though the military discount is $25.00 to play. They didn't have me fill anything out or sign a contract they just gave me the card. I received an email Feb 24th saying the you get a free round of golf on your birthday. My birthday was the 28th. I called because I was out of town and if I could play in March. No was the answer, so I went in today to talk to the manager about getting an email about free golf with 3 days left in the month. He said I should have known, and that the person that gave me the card should have listed my birthday at the beginning of the month so I had the whole month to play. He didn't say, we should have let you know so go ahead in play in March. Next year you will know. Instead, he blamed me for not reading the brochure or looking at the website. Didn't even know, as the girl said you just need this card to get the military discount. Really, great customer service!! Really taking care of the veterans.. There were 3 managers all saying I should have read the brochure or looked at the website. They should have informed me when they made me pay $55.00 to get the card!! read more
