Tee boxes uneven and patchy. Fairways were rough and mostly dead. Greens were fine at best, just avoid the divots and ball marks that nobody replaces. Awful pace of play. 6 hour round on a Friday morning. Starter told us they oversold tee times... Not very a challenging course. Majority of approach shots will be in the 200 yard range. The course could have great potential (see pictures for some solid views) but needs a ton of TLC. Staff was super nice, only reason it's not getting a 1 star.

WOHOOOO! I don't know if that makes sense. But, what I mean is that he will incrementally improve your swing by showing you the TECHNIQUE, not just showing you how to do it and how others do it. Everything is personalized and very detailed. Paul goes over everything: how you stand, the language, the grip, your back, your knees, your arms, your "cool swing" look, distance, and accuracy. After only 2 lessons, I was already hitting the range by myself and actually hitting them pretty decent! On top of it all, Paul is FUNNY and knowledgeable. He is great all the way around! I was interested in irons and a new driver and 5 wood. I only signed up for an irons fitting but we finished that part early and Kasey kindly let me hit some drivers and 5 woods. I ended up purchasing Mizuno irons and the Taylor Made Qi10 driver and 5 wood. Kasey wasn't pushy at all, just really nice through the entire process. Front door had recently been smashed in, so starting off was already put off by the aesthetics. That's not their fault as the landlord is responsible. From there it was down hill. I came in for a new driver fitting. I only tried 4 different drivers, all at the same loft and feel ultimately leading me to be 45 minutes in. Around the 40 minute mark my coach finally was able to get some improvement on my data. Although they weren't nearly close to what we should have been able to do he recommended me a $650 driver that was not perfectly tailored or fit for me. The experience seemed slow to start, transitions between clubs took around 5 minutes of waiting. I hit more warmup shots waiting to start than I did shots evaluating my club selection. Overall, disappointed in my service and will have to book a new driver fitting elsewhere.

He said I was leaving a lot of power on the table and showed me how to utilize my wrists better. After the lesson I hit 15-20 balls and it finally clicked. The next day I went out on the course and hit my 7-iron consistently 10% further than I did 25 years ago. All of my clubs hit 20-25% further the next day on the course. He showed me how to feel the swing in 2 minutes with one of his props and it changed my game for years to come. The fairways, greens and tee box were all really well maintained. Highly recommend playing a round on the Pine Glen 9 hole course for those looking to get some playing time but don't want to commit to 18 holes. It is also a very beginner friendly course and a very walkable course if you don't want to rent a golf cart. Singing Hills Golf Club has a wonderful facility with plenty of parking, driving range, putting area, pro shop and restaurant on site.

Last weekend, while my son was driving on Jamul Drive, a golf ball struck his vehicle and shattered the windshield. He went to the pro shop and spoke with Alan, one of the managers, hoping for some guidance or assistance. Instead, Alan offered no help, showed very little concern, and made my son feel as though the incident was somehow his fault. I understand that the course may not accept direct responsibility for every stray golf ball, but basic customer service and compassion should still matter. At the very least, Steele Canyon could have offered a few rounds of golf or some other gesture to help offset the unexpected cost of replacing the windshield. After living here and supporting the course for so many years, the complete lack of concern was extremely disappointing. From now on, we will gladly drive a little farther to play at a course that values its neighbors and customers. Thank you, Alan and Steele Canyon Golf Club, for showing us exactly how little our support means.

I'm deeply disgusted, disappointed and saddened by my recent experience at this studio with Amber…read more As someone who is currently pregnant and has never been to a Pilates class, I was shocked when the instructor responded with "OH FUCK" and rolled her eyes and walked back telling the other employees LOUDLY "she's pregnant!" She acted as if I had a contagious disease. I completely understand the need for caution and specialized training when it comes to prenatal fitness, but I was never told that I needed any kind of prerequisites prior to my class. To yell "oh fuck" roll her eyes and walked away from me without explanation or sensitivity, felt discriminatory and insensitive. It was a moment that made me feel excluded and unwelcome, at a time when feeling strong and supported is more important than ever. I sincerely hope the studio reconsiders or at least trains its staff to handle such situations with more empathy and professionalism. Expecting mothers deserve to be treated with respect, not as liabilities.
