Best vets in the area. We have been going to Willowdale for 20+ years and love the care and attention our babies get from the doctors and staff.

I have been going here for over five years. Dr. Otte is amazing. Her bedside manner is great. She helped me get my sons German Sheppard to Hawaii and understood how time consuming and stressful the entire process was.

My boy pappy after his teeth cleaning and extractions today. :D

Otte are always willing to listen and give recommendations on the best treatment options versus just pushing expensive or unnecessary testing and treatments.

Perhaps the bad reviews are just one offs. I have never seen a mad person ever. The "ADULT" managers they have are just perfect. I never understand the comments that like to degrade staff. With the state of the workforce now. We should be thankful we still have people willing to work and care for our pets. Instead of living off the government.

I would strongly caution anyone considering this grooming salon…read more My dog was returned to me with multiple injuries, including a serious wound on her neck and several areas where her fur had been shaved down to the skin. I was never informed that she had been injured while in their care. I only discovered the extent of the damage after bringing her home and noticing her discomfort. The injuries became infected and required veterinary treatment, antibiotics, and over $250 in vet bills. Thankfully, she is now recovering, but no pet should have to suffer like this. What made this situation even more upsetting was the response afterward. When I contacted the owner, Mary, about the injuries, she claimed that my dog already had a hot spot and denied that the grooming process caused the wound. Based on the condition of my dog before the appointment and the injuries I found immediately afterward, I strongly disagree with that explanation. I understand that accidents can happen when working with animals. What is unacceptable is failing to notify the owner when a dog has been injured and then refusing to take responsibility when serious concerns are raised. Pet owners trust groomers to care for their animals safely and honestly, and in my experience, that trust was completely broken. The attached photo speaks for itself. I am sharing my experience so that other pet owners can make informed decisions and carefully inspect their pets after grooming appointments. I will never be returning and cannot recommend this business to anyone who values transparency, accountability, and the well-being of their pets.

We took our golden doodle to his place of business on Tuesday and asked that they give her a trim of about 1/2 inch off the current length of her coat, trim her nails, and make sure that they do not touch her tail. The reason we remind them not to touch her tail is because They have a history of shaving our dog down to the skin including the tail, where she now looks like a lion. (Golden doodles are part golden retriever, with long smooth hair, and a poodle, with somewhat curly sometimes kinky hair) Kinky, not matted. I've given the owner specific instructions not to touch the tail. But they have never called us when the make radical deviations. They just take unilateral action and basically scalp our dog ; when we have told them never to do that again. on three occasions this has happened including Yesterday. Each time the owners response is the hair was matted down to the skin we had to cut it all off. Sort of like going to the hospital for an ingrown toenail, and coming out missing a leg. In my opinion. I don't know exactly why they continue to do this. I know they have a rotating number of groomers and it just seems like there are one or two that insist on giving your pet the standard cut for the breed. Totally ignoring the owners instructions. Again just my opinion. It's also difficult to complain because you must pay in cash, and you must pay before they will bring your pet out for you to pick up. No ability to dispute a credit card fir instabce. if you like a seemingly haphazard result and don't really care about the instructions you give to your pets groomer. Then in my opinion this might be a place for you. But if you do can care about consistency and communication , if a vendor is going to deviate from those instructions, you might consider going someplace else. Just my opinion. I took this photo 10 minutes before we took the dog in for grooming. Her tail is not matted. Nor is her fur. Seems like they just wanted to turn out as many pets as they could in the day. In my opinion. And not take the time that it would take to do the job that we had asked them to do. Which is the same instructions we give them every time we go in there. Disregarding our long-standing instructions is not acceptable.

While I am very much a dog lover, I was adamant that this would only add chaos and stress to our lives as we already have two large dogs who have a well-established history of being aggressive to any dog who dares enter their property. I said "no." He insisted and begged and pleaded. A compromise was reached; if he could show me that a peaceful integration was possible, I'd agree. Enter Happy Dog Inn. We visited this facility, met Ben and Jen, and shortly after, a very comprehensive plan was developed. Louie was boarded for a week at the Happy Dog Inn, my husband took a week off from work, and twice daily, my husband brought our dogs here for integration, training with Ben's assistance, and overall socialization. The plan was well thought-out and included time with the three dogs at the Inn together, time romping in the fields and learning to like one another, time with Louie at our house while our other two stayed for a couple of hours.... It was, as I indicated, an incredibly comprehensive plan and....it was completely successful! At the end of this week, Louie came home and has become one of the pack, accepted by the other two! The dedication of the entire staff to this endeavor was incredible. All of the young women who work there became involved and invested. Jen and Ben were both texting and checking in and offering moral support. Honestly, by the end of this time, it felt like we had a new family. Amazingly, they charged us only for the boarding time for Louie; there was no charge for the training or the hours of time with our dogs on-site. This was truly a labor of love from the entire staff! Thank you, Happy Dog Inn, for adding a new family member to our family!
