This is by far the worst value for golf in the Seattle area. I paid $35 for twilght and I still feel I got ripped off. They are asking for around $75 to play this course on the weekend with a cart and $60 to walk. They add sales tax and a Redmond city tax. The fairways and greens were not up to par for what you pay. It looks like there was some type of fungus growing on the greens that caused it to be in bad shape. No one fixes their ball marks because I'm guessing they are steaming about the green fee they paid and don't feel the need to fix ball marks on greens. Also, lots of goose droppings because they are everywhere. The round was 5 hours long and I see no benefit in playing here. A much better option is Bellevue Golf Course, which is about 10 minutes away. I don't think much of Bellevue, but it is definitely a much better course than here. read more

Willow's Run GC used to be the place I lost a ton of balls at. The grass outside of the short rough was very very long, and th epace of play suffered. I found myself ball hunting often, very often. More often the a senior citizen uses the restroom at night. The grass was up to your knees, and swallowed more balls than a thai hooker. Recently they cut this said grass. It's incredible. No more lost balls. And best of all the pace of play has tremendously improved. I'm pleased to say, I will be playing Willow's much more because of this. read more

I play winter golf in the holidays while staying with family. Likes: Choices between courses. Eagles Talon feels a bit longer than Coyote's Run. Greens covered at night and fast for winter soggy play. Good job at keeping the valley sog as dry as possible. Food Shack hole 9/10 has great choices at reasonable prices and friendly. Dislikes: Check in personnel are inattentive, pretentious and act like your lucky to be paying them. Friendly questions or goodwill gestures are met with contempt. Poor customer service. Good runs but not the value charged. read more

Wow, easy course? I had the round of a lifetime with shots at pars/birdies on a number of holes, but some tough greens had me finishing with a 98 in the end. And normally I have a putting percentage under 2 putts/hole. Long par 4's on the outer course and while the par 3's didn't look too difficult, they played longer than they looked. Conditions were excellent, the carts were awesome and the pace was good for an afternoon round. And for the price, yes it's a few dollars more than your junker courses, but it's well worth it for this course. Good prices for driving range too; large chipping & putting greens usually with some practice balls out free to use. read more

Par 3 course is in horrible shape and sand traps are just junk. Played behind 3 clueless and SLOW women who were horrible. They needed a course marshal to get them moving or off the course. The regular courses are much better. read more

I golfed 18 at Coyote Creek for the first time this morning, and I think I may have set the course record. Well, it was a personal best, at least. CC is a short, relatively forgiving links style course, with wide fairways and challenging greens. Pin placement today was fairly crazy, right up in front on most holes, behind sand traps . . . fairly challenging on the approach. But, wow, what a fun course on a Thursday morning--not too busy, so not a lot of hit-and-sit golf. The course itself was in great shape. Sure, a few brown hills and dead spots, but the greens were immaculate in late July--soft and fair. Refreshments were easy to come by, and the refreshment cart came by several times during our round. It made me wish I was golfing with my dad, who lives 1300 miles away. :-( We would have had a great time today, and by the way I was hitting them, I may have actually beaten him for a change. read more

We discovered Willows Run two years ago and I'm hoping this review will boost its overall rating because it's a fantastic year-round golf venue. The staff members are very friendly and outgoing, the courses are surrounded by beautiful wetlands, the greens are covered at night during the winter months so no temporary greens are required, and I think both courses offer challenges for good players and some forgiving and wide approach shots for duffers like me. This year we purchased the winter club card, which paid for itself in a few rounds. They also offer a nice driving range and a tip-notch putting and chipping practice area. Play on! read more

I'm a beginner but I've played here at least five times. The players' cards seem like a pretty good deal but I'm not sure which I will commit to. I enjoy the Par 3 and Coyote's Run equally. The courses are fun. Eagle's Talon was very humbling. It seems very narrow in spots and was very difficult for me. I'll keep playing it to gauge my progress this summer. My first time playing 9 holes was done here. I'd say the course is very beginner friendly with different markers of where to start. You can do 9 holes in about 2 hours and even rent clubs for a decent price. There are lots of other people out there so if you're the type that wants privacy I say, find a friend with membership to private courses. I never knew this but you can buy some beer to take with you on the course to drink, and use as 'aiming oil' ;). Fun times! If you're curious about golf I say give it a try! read more

re: Company Annual Outing We played at Wolf Creek. I have not played in quite awhile and this was my first course in Washington State, but I was very fortunate to have played on a very good cloudy day with zero rain. It was just a tad bit humid, but I wasn't burnt by the sun. Overall this course is pretty good. I'd say about 66% of the holes were well maintained and the remaining 33% were decent. Not too many hazards (eg. great thing for me), the course in itself isn't that challenging (ie. straight shots to the pin); HOWEVER, this course has the fastest greens I have ever seen since 1998 when I first started. Putting is my bread and butter and I was shocked how fast these greens were. I was so shocked, I could not believe my eyes. I would probably qualify these greens as borderline Professional level. I was amazed how one would just tap the putt and the ball would fly. All in all, very nice place to play. Will definitely play here again. read more

Played the Coyote Creek course yesterday for the first time. It was a little ragged, perhaps due to being late in the season after a long hot summer. We lost a lot of balls in the long grass along the fairways. Just couldn't find them even with four people looking. The greens were nice though. Prior to playing we had lunch outside overlooking the 18th tee. Nice location, so so lunch. I didn't pay for the outing but I think it was $90 for 2, 18 holes with a cart. Felt a little high for the condition of the course. Lot of high end cars in the parking lot so I think their customer base keeps the prices high. Overall a nice option if you are not too picky. How is that for damning with faint praise? Still it was a fun afternoon on a 80 degree late September day on a decent course. I would play here again, mainly because of the convenience, but it would not be my first choice. read more

Seems as though zero maintenance is being done here. Used to be a nice track. Played yesterday, 4/14/21 and the condition of the course is abysmal. No sand in most of the traps, sand pyramids in others. Broken benches at tee boxes, horrible shape. I don't know if it is still under the same management and funding as when Allen was alive, but it has definitely gone downhill. read more

My husband and I went into the bar for drinks and an appetizer. We sat by the window (big mistake). The window sill was full (I mean full) of dead bugs. The windows had spider webs (occupied by spiders) inside and outside. The inside spider was so gross we moved to the outside chairs of the table. When the waiter brought the menu, we both said, "no thanks." No telling what the kitchen is like. Seriously, how can the management not see how gross it is? read more

I play here a lot. It is reasonable in cost and a 5 minute drive. The issues are the total lack of customer service. Starts are seldom there, and they just check you in. Not much cart service. Who knows why, it will be a nice day and nothing. Way to leave money on the table. Slow play is the big thing here. A 5 hour round on the weekend is a lucky thing! Marshalls are seldom there, and when they are they don't actually do anything to help. I wish it was better. A lot of play, but jeez, put a little effort into making someone want to come back. read more

This is my home course because of convenience. It's a great early morning track when the prices are low and the golfers are more sparse. Later in the day or when weather is good the rounds go long as the old marshal thinks fast is just under a five hour round. The plus is the course shape, greens incredibly good considering the traffic, fairways wounded from an overabundance of fat swings hold their own and the morning wet rough is character building. Over the years the trees have grown in to make slices and hooks a little more daunting. You should still score well here. The big surprise is the putting green. It rolls as well as any I know. The range needs help, but for the most part it is a good facility. While it may not have the polish of Echo Falls or Redmond Ridge, the Willows courses are a better buy, better playing and more satisfying when not overrun with a hordes of slow playing foursomes. While I rave for the shape of the greens, I suggest pumping the fairway bunkers when they fill with rain water. Of the Redmond area public courses, this is top dog. read more

Given how much the round cost ($56) and the size of the course I was excited and had high expectations. It is easy to get to Willows and the parking is a great. The facilities are clean and the place looks high class and professional. We paid and when to the putting green to practise and wait for our name to be called. The calling process is a little confusing but we started on time. I played 18 holes on Coyote Creek with a friend and we were paired up with 2 very lovely strangers - a father and son. We all were walking because we believe golf is about chasing the little white ball with your feet not via a golf cart (come on people give the ball a chance). The course was not great, in fact it was disappointing. It had rained the day before and that didn't help however I would expect a course like this to have drainage. Some of the greens, bunkers and fairways had puddles of water on them and others were just soaked this so wet the balls just stopped dead. To add injury to insult some of the holes had lots of bird feathers and worse droppings (just yuk on your golf ball). The water factor meant that people were very slow so a course that said it was 4 1/2 hours we actually started at 11:15 and finished 5:55. By the 9 hole we were thirsty and starving and the food on the course was okay and reasonably priced. Just as we got to the 10th hole with our water we saw 2 golf carts with waters, sports drinks and beers. We were a little upset that we had not seen them before and the lady said that they had 2 on the back 9 rather than 1 on each. Okay everyone can make a mistake however the day is starting to get warm so we say we will see her at say hole 14. However we did not see the beverage cart again! All 4 of us were dehydrated, we dived into the bar for water and found it empty - no staff . I popped my head around the managers office to complained about the beverage cart and the young man was like oh sorry no one else complained about the beverage cart today and then went back to the computer he was working on. I went back to the bar which now had a barman and then guzzled a water and 7Up and Pilnser and left. I am still making sense of the comment "No one else complained" - well I am complaining and that is your reply. Silly me, I will take me mobile phone on the course and make phones calls to the office and order the drinks cart on the golf course next time! I will struggle to go again to this place given how good some of the other courses are locally. read more

Run Away from Willows Run..! If you plan to have a Corporate Golf Event, just play Willows yourself to witness exactly what you'll put your guests through. If you don't, you'll only Regret it afterwards... I've played both courses at Willows Run for many years. I play a lot of golf and "used to like" playing these courses. Both courses Eagle's and Coyote's playability have continually deteriorated to a point that it would be better to just play Wayne in Bothell or Kenwanda near Snohomish (as informed to me by the others in my group) because they are in better shape for half the price while being on par (course maintenance wise). I wouldn't place either of Willows Run's courses condition above a 2 on a 1 to 10 scale. I don't know anything about the Par 3 course. I've played Eagle around 8 times throughout this year. Each time I've finished the round and swore that I wouldn't come back until the course condition warranted a return or the management even cared that I played the course. Today, Saturday (7/18/2014) was the worst yet. Major bald spots throughout the fairways. The fringe is burned out around most greens. Several greens have multiple dead streaks or huge dead patches across the greens apparently from hydraulic leaks on the maintenance equipment. Major areas around most of the greens are bare and the ball will settle in bare areas next to poorly maintained grass clumps making any opportunity to get up and down difficult. Today, the round took 5 hours and 22 minutes. Several tee boxes had 2 groups waiting to tee off, making for more complaining. Apparently, seven groups in front of us was playing their first round of golf. Nice... Marshals have no power or authority to do anything other than to make excuses. It's clear that the exceedingly poor condition and horrible playing quality of this course is due to the sever reduction of the maintenance budget. There is no other reason. Willows isn't even close to being overplayed. Actually, it's apparent that the course isn't being played very much due to the fact that most seem to be avoiding Willows. So, you should be able to get a tee time almost any time easily. The other three players in my group complained about the course and slow play so much it just reinforced my lack of desire to return. They stated that they won't be back, nor will I. The only bright spot in the day was when you actually had a clear line to the hole on the green, the putt ran true. Surprise...! During and after the round I (we) felt that I (we) wasted my (our) time playing Eagle and felt that I (we) was (were) Robbed. As mentioned above, go play another course and you'll be glad that you did. Either play a course similar in condition and save $30 - $50 bucks or go to Druids or an Oki course and be happy with the course you spent your day on. Go to an Oki course where they understand how to take care if a course and where it's fun to play a course that cares. You could also go to the sister course of willows named Druids Glen. Druids Glen has finally benefited and understood how bad maintenance can effect your reputation and repeat play. They are back on track. So, I make the 45 minute journey without a second thought because you'll be rewarded with a good course that you'd like to spend your time on. It's also clear that Willows thinks quite a bit of themselves. Charging Mid-Summer rates while delivering a seriously sub-par course condition with an elitist attitude is mind boggling. Sometimes, it's not always about the Location, Location, Location. It's about the perceived value vs you're golfing experience that seems to fall short in the managements considerations. To them, I believe it's about getting your money without delivering the goods. I wonder how they get anyone to return to play twice? I truly wonder how they take anyone's money to play there with a straight face? In closing, do yourself a favor and play Willows Next Year and see if the ownership has actually learned how to take care of there existing patrons and hopefully by then the courses condition vs being concerned mostly about profits while beating down the course into a cattle farm. What a disappointment this place was for a couple first timers. I've played at the mini putt-putt before, which was a fun experience of what i remember, but never the actual course. I just have to say, this place is poorly ran and poorly staffed. I hate giving bad reviews but we were just in horror with our experience. Firstly, we stopped in the bar to load up on beverages before we started our tee off - the bartender informed us there was some sort of 'beer cart' going around after the first hole, so we opted out on buying stuff inside the bar and planned on buying from this so called cart she said was out there, which we NEVER saw. By the 9th hole we were: A. in need of a restroom - and B. in definite need of a bruskie because the course alone wasn't helping our game one bit. There was goose poop EVERYWHERE!!!!!!! Even on the greens - which messed up a couple of my puts. I didn't realize we had to play with obstacles. They also had air-rated (sp?) the greens so they were bumpy with holes everywhere. The power carts were nice but apparently in the winter you aren't allowed to drive through the fairways. This would have been nice knowing when we paid for one, because having to run back and forth through the course for clubs was tiring and inconvenient. Once we got to the 9th hole we figured there would be some sort of pit stop for players. There was nothing in sight so we called the clubhouse to ask where this 'beer cart' was. Twice we had to call and the lady informed us that it was out passed the 9th hole 'in the middle of nowhere' was her directions. We had to drive back through the ninth hole (which pissed some other players off) because we hadn't seen this 'shack' that she described yet. After playing through the 9th and 10th we finally came upon the pit stop. We ordered some food and beers and the girl working was NOT friendly whatsoever. Didn't crack a smile - and just stood there after we paid, no customer service one bit which means, no tip for her. anyway... i think this place is over priced and maybe it's just because it's winter time and they just don't really care, but I know we will never return. :-/ read more

Just played the talon course, a lot of diseases around the course. I am a 2 handicap and have played a lot of Washington courses, the conditions were truly a joke. Around the greens had a disease and the tee boxes were pathetic. 42$ for walking!!! That's unreal, that should at-least include a cart. Don't come and play this course. Also staff was rude and snobby. Save your money people read more

Love this friendly course just 10 mins from home. I play here nearly once a week with either my husband or a group of gals from my tennis club. The course is just challenging enough for this advanced beginner golfer. The staff is very friendly. Fred the starter always has a kind word and the marshalls are always friendly even when they ask us to pick up the pace! Love my home course!! read more

The course was in terrible shape! They were watering the shrubs instead of the course. There were brown patches, dead spots everywhere. We were hitting off dirt patches on the fairway. I don't recommend this course, wait till they get some rain since they are not taking care of it. read more

I had a bad experience at Willows about five years ago and vowed to not play it again. Figuring enough time has passed and things may have improved (pace of play most importantly), I decided to play it. I'm here to report that it is just as bad. Willows Run has 2 18-hole courses: Eagle's Talon and Coyote Creek. I've been told that Eagle's Talon is the better of the two, so that's what I played today. I had a lot of fun on this course. Not too many trees, which for a beginner like me, is great. Even on a Sun afternoon, the pace of play was pretty good, as there was no one in front of us. This place has the coolest golf carts! There's an LCD monitor and a GPS system in the cart! And on the back of the cart, right above the golf bags, there's an LED readout telling you distance to the hole! I definitely recommend that people in the Seattle area try this golf course out at least once. read more

I've played this course more times that I can remember. I'm sitting here in the winter wishing I could go out for one more twilight (which are super cheap here). If you don't mind paying $65 for 18 with a cart on a Saturday the course is great however slow at times with rounds closer to 5 hrs. Pace of play is why only 4 stars. They used to have $1 PBRs! Not sure about that anymore? They also have a pretty easy par 3 course which my wife and I really enjoy (she gets tired/bored playing a full 18). They also have a great chipping/putting/sand practice area down by the Par 3 course that is supposed to be for "members" but anyone can walk on and use the area. Overpriced at over $60 to play on weekends, esp for the course. Lots of ducks, geese droppings throughout the entire area. Some of the holes had significant dead grass areas. If you're not having a good day with your clubs, get ready to lose lots of balls, however if you do go into the woods to hunt for your ball, you'll prob come back out with more balls The restaurant in there is pretty low quality, an old dive. Played Coyote yesterday. Playing time was 4 hours for a foursome, fastest ever on this course. The course is in horrible shape... 6 inch rough, dead areas throughout, portions of the greens are dry and cracked. Have always enjoyed the facility but not in this condition or price. read more

My Dad and I played a round today at Willows Run. We had a tee time on the Coyote Run side due to a tourney on Eagles Talon. Fine, no biggie. The concern on the day would start at check-in. $158 bucks for two rounds of golf and a cart. Wow, they sure are pretty proud of this course huh? I have no problem paying for good courses, but lets be honest. Willows Run does not fall into a good course in my book. It's clear that the owners care little about the quality of their product. The fairways were terrible, and the greens needed a cut, roll, cut, roll again. They also push people off the first tee at an alarming rate. We were STANDING on the tee box at #1 giving the group ahead some time, and the starter finished his cigarette and stepped out of his hot box to tell us it was time to go, get moving. We weren't shocked to see 2 groups waiting on the 2nd tee when we finished on 1. Juuuuust great. We waited on every single hole. 2 hours and 45 minutes later we mercifully finished the front 9. The only good thing the staff did all day was offer us to move to Eagles Talon to finish the 2nd nine. Will not be back, and felt strongly enough to share my misery with the rest of you.
