Went for lunch today with my girlfriend. Please spare yourself the nausea and money. From the start, service is friendly and accommodating. Ordered two waters and a Long Island iced tea. So far so good. I ordered the speedy Gonzalez, which is rice, beans, an enchilada, and a taco. My girlfriend ordered the lunch #8, which was supposed to be burritos and received two tacos with rice and beans instead. We receive our food, and from the start it's not good. It's slopped onto a metal tray as if we were in a third world prison. No care, no thought of presentation in the least. I ate the taco first and could immediately tell the shell came out of a box, and wasn't cooked. The lettuce was slightly brown and room temperature. Beef was okay, seasoned well with decent texture. I finish that and move on to the "Mexican rice". To call this Mexican rice would be insulting to an entire culture. The rice was absolutely from a frozen bag, and came with corn (understandable), Lima beans and green beans, which the latter of are far from what they called "gourmet" Mexican. It was horrendous. I spared myself the cold, crusted over beans and decided to try the enchilada. Again, frozen. The beef was far from relatable to that of the taco, the tortilla was mush, and the sauce was offensive to anything close to a taste bud. Please, do yourself a favor and eat else where. read more

We love this place! Any time we come through Social Circle we eat here! It's sad the time we come though to late and they are already closed! Tonight I had the three amigos which is three hardshell tacos. Your choice, beef for chicken. I of course, went for the beef and added tomatoes and sour cream to totally Americanized. My tacos! All three were delicious! Hubby had the birria quesadilla. That's his favorite dish here! We also of course had an order of refried beans because you can't eat in a Mexican restaurant without having refried beans! Well where do I start? We came here because it was the only place open to eat. With that being said we walked in & had to ask if we seat ourselves, they told us sit anywhere that was fine. The place was empty so we just sat at nearest booth. As far as service goes it was sub par. Our waiter liked to talk to the staff than tend his table. He got my wife's order wrong twice, the second time she didn't eat. Asked for a refill and had to remind him to bring it back. My food was good, but like I said my wife didn't eat. The service was lovely, and the menu diverse, but we found the food to be bland and unappetizing. No spice or kick or remarkable features of any kind. Sorry to say it, but that's my experience. Birria quesadilla was good but the little short chip girl was rude about me, a TWENTY TWO year old, drinking a beer. She rudely came to our table after I had been served a beer and demanded my ID then studied it until I said I have a military ID stating I'm 22. Next time you could be a little nicer if you think I'm underage lol. This isn't your typical Mexican restaurant. While they have many of the traditional Tex-Mex dishes, they have a huge menu that includes some more unusual items. My only complaint is the salsa, which is very bland for us spicy loving people. read more

Where to begin of how poorly this establishment is. First off we just moved to the Social Circle area and thought we would try and support a local restaurant. We walked in and we're greeted by staff, stating we could sit where we would like. The staff was friendly upon entrance, I'll give them that. The chips and salsa that were brought to the table were less than satisfactory. The salsa was watered down and chips tasted old. Further into ordering our food, I ordered a steak burrito al carbon. I asked for cheese dip to be on top of the burrito instead of the green sauce that was supposed to be on it. I thought this was a simple substitute and wouldn't be an issue. My kid ordered a kids cheeseburger and fries and wife ordered a beef taco with a side of rice. When we get our bill , this place charged me $2 for the spoonful of cheese dip that was on top of my burrito. Furthermore they charged me an EXTRA $3 for the steak that was inside the burrito al carbon when it was labelled on the menu as a meat selection. Then they charged me for another side order of fries that they brought to the table and I DIDNT EVEN ORDER THEM!! When asked, the waitress stated that the cook is the one who told her to make those extra charges. She stated that a manager wasn't working and the son is normally in charge. So all of these extra charges came from the cook that was in the back. Oh and for how simple my order was , it costs us $84!!!! We will not be returning and warn others before making this awful mistake. read more

Finally a really good Mexican place to eat! I love Mexican food (more than I should!) and am very picky when it comes to places to eat this fine cuisine and let me tel you they do it right! The pace is fairly small and can get backed up on Fri & Sat but it's worth the wait. It would be nice if they could expand to accommodate the growing fan base they are getting. If you're in Social Circle and enjoy good Mexican food I highly recommend Willie's! Ate here about 3 Fridays ago and unfortunately I left a small ceramic bowl shaped like a fish. It has a fin on each side and a tail on one end and 2 lips on the other. I brought it with my own salsa because I like salsa very mild. On the inside bottom it says 1/2 cup as measurement. I called after but they were closed. Went in a day later and spoke to the male waiter who had served us. He denied he waited on us but he did. The lady behind the counter said there were a lot of dirty dishes at the time so she couldn't check for it right then but " would and would call me. I left my name and number. No call ever came and I know even a guy would know that it wasn't disposable. So someone has a cute little bowl that came in a 3 peice set as measuring cups. Will not eat there ever again because this facility obviously is lacking completely of truth , honesty and courtesy. read more

I am extremely disappointed in Willy's. We used to be regulars but the food has gone down hill and tonight was the last straw. My three year old and I ordered shrimp and chicken fajitas to share. They were so burnt, it was inedible. I picked through to feed my toddler the overcooked, rubbery shrimp , but I was unable to eat more than a few vegetables that weren't charred to death. It had a terribly burnt and bitter taste and the chicken was so overcooked you could not stab it with a fork. I asked the manager (didn't realize that's who he was at the time) for a menu to order a different entree because my food was so burnt, neither me nor the three year old could eat it. He proceeded to hand me one and walk off. When our waitress showed back up, I told her that the fajitas were burnt beyond return and she said she would place my new order for shrimp nachos and speak with the manager. When she came back, she explained that the manager had claimed that he spoke with us and everything was fine. He didn't offer to discount either meal, and lied about speaking with us. Close to home for us so we stopped in for a quick bite as we sometimes do. My wife likes the fajita soup and my daughters likes the cheese quesadillas. I usually have tacos and today I chose chicken soft tacos - which were pretty good. The place fills up quick so you've got to come early or plan to wait a little while. Service was fine and the prices aren't bad. Thursday's there is live music which is fun if you're into that. read more
