    Soup of the Day

Kicking myself for not getting to Wilma's sooner! There were three of us and we ordered the Cosy Tea Deluxe. It came with a bowl of the Soup of the Day which was a peanut butter type soup, not sure but it was veryyy good! We got with the deluxe the Cucumber & Dill sandwich, Egg & Watercress & Smoked Salmon sandwiches - they definitely gave us two sandwiches worth for each one. The rice was my favorite item! We also had the chicken rolls, I didn't love those but that's ok! We also had scones, they will give you butter but don't expect the English traditional with jam & clotted cream. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place beats to the march of their own drum and that's what makes them stand out in the best way possible![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service and warmth you feel when you walk in here is like any other place! We were there after they closed and they never made us feel rushed to leave. I do love that you can pick your own tea pot!

This is such a cute little place. The owners here are so sweet and very accommodating. The tea here is absolutely phenomenal! And they have a little buffet of food, one sweets and one of regular food. Me and my boyfriend had the sweets Visco around, and they tasted so amazing!. This is a little diamond in the rough highly recommend coming here for a little snack, a cup of tea, and a great place to have a quiet date.

Stopped by here today while I was on lunch break

I'd be lying if I said I didn't drive 45 minutes to Nyack specifically to visit this cheese shop…read morebecause of a video I saw on social media, but I absolutely did & it was a great decision. Scott & Joe is coined "the gayest cheese shop in America" & while I haven't surveyed all of the other cheese shops in America, I agree. It's a quaint little shop tucked amongst other small shops on Broadway. Scott is behind the fully stocked cheese case serving & SERVING with a smile. He was patient while we perused the case & asked questions. We sampled some cheeses to figure out what we like & what we didn't & ended up leaving with some yummy treats. Scott & Joe also have a little bit of a marketplace with delicious options of cured meats, crackers, jams, jellies, mustards & the like: perfect for any dinner party or snack plate. In my opinion, the best part is a not so secret little bistro section in the back where you can have a seat & be served some of the most delicious sandwiches, salads, & cheeseboards in the Hudson Valley. I got the Ciao Bella this time around, but it was hard to choose because I wanted them all! Everything was so fresh & delicious - I can't wait to return! Scott & Joe also hold various events regularly, so I recommend following them on Instagram to stay in the loop.

Rainy days and tacos just make sense together…read more While driving near Nyack, NY, we stumbled across a small hidden gem called El Cuñao Taqueria & Deli tucked away from the busier stretch of Main Street. No frills, no flashy atmosphere -- just comida auténtica and seriously satisfying flavors. I ordered the carne asada nachos and an order of tacos al pastor, and both hit the spot perfectly. Fresh ingredients, bold flavor, and that classic street-style taco taste that instantly lifts your ánimo on a gloomy day. The nachos were loaded, cheesy, and packed with flavor, while the al pastor tacos were simple, fresh, and delicioso. And yes... we washed it all down with a Coke Zero in a glass bottle because somehow it siempre tastes better that way. Now, if you're looking for upbeat energy and polished service, este lugar probably isn't it. The staff seemed a bit inexperienced and lacked motivation. But where the service fell short, the kitchen absolutely delivered with authentic flavors and generous portions. Sometimes the best spots are the quiet little hole-in-the-wall places that let the food do all the talking.

The space is large with plenty of seating and a bar area. The service both times was great with everyone being extremely helpful and accommodating for our larger group. We ordered the brisket platter with baked beans and mac cheese. We also ordered a jr ribs meal and were given the complimentary corn bread. What we liked is the below. We loved the corn bread. It was warm on arrival sweet and salty just delicious. The brisket was moist and flavorful. The baked beans had little pieces of ham and had great taste. The ribs were okay a little dry for me. The mac and cheese was basic. The fries tasted like the grease they were fried in which is one of my pet peeves. The BBQ sauce was sweeter than I expected. We were told this is North Carolina style bbq. We enjoyed our visit and checking them out. The restaurant was family friendly. They also had a full bar and some interesting drinks ( we didn't try any). We'd visit again just for the corn bread. It was that good.
