Brothers was a great experience we went early in the day before the mall Crowd piled through. The staff there were very friendly and very welcoming. One thing I always want to know is what the staff enjoys eating. The staff member who attended us immediately. Let us know that one of the owners was in and brought a special along with him one that the staff member had already put in an order for her to take home. If a barbecue place has a solid beef rib I'm all in. I ordered the special beef rib, which was the size of my head with a great bark and smoke ring on it. It was fall off the bone tender. With my colossal beef rib I had mac & cheese, which, in a lot of of these barbecue places mac & cheese can tend to be very heavy and overly creamy this mac & cheese was perfect and you can tell was made with love my second side I needed something a little lighter than my first two options I opted for the coleslaw, which I always enjoy a nice coleslaw. We also had the pulled pork sandwich which again was a very hefty portion with the house cut Fries you can't go wrong with a nice house cut pillowy crisp Fry. To start it all off, though they give you some of their house cornbread, which is warm soft and just delicious. Their wings were a real draw. We had the garlic thyme wings which were a very subtle flavor, but the smoked wing and then fried was all the flavor you needed. The wings were crisp yet still juicy and had that perfect amount of smoke flavor. Even their drinks were smoky I had a smoked old-fashioned, which came with a nice thick strip cut of bacon. Definitely great food and a great atmosphere to enjoy some hearty delicious barbecue.

Last night Joe surprised me with a date night. I had no clue where we were going and we ended up at the Palisades Mall. Since our date night was impromptu, we didn't have a reso anywhere which made me nervous for a Friday night but lo and behold, Brothers Smokehouse had no wait and we were seated immediately. Our server John, who was also the bartender, was very attentive and gave great recommendations. For starters we ordered the boneless wings with the Asian bbq and the nachos with the "meat of the day" (ayoo ), which happened to be beef brisket. The brisket MELTED in my mouth; it was incredible. The boneless wings were meaty and juicy, not dry and overcooked. DELICIOUS! No complaints! For our entrees Joe ordered the two meat combo (two meats of your choice) with coleslaw and French fries. The fries were made fresh, in house, and boy could you tell. I'm not even a fry girl and I definitely stole a few off of his plate! For his meat choice he got the pork ribs and chicken. I can't even tell you how tender those ribs were, and the chicken fell right off the bone! For my entree I ordered the grilled chicken with a side of Mac n cheese and greens. Guys, I literally have no complaints. It was superb. On the way out we noticed there was even a walk up takeout window, in case you have no time to sit. We most definitely will be back either way!

St. Louis style rib. Beautiful seasoned bark outside super tender inside. No sauce necessary. These ribs were good

Get the St. Louis style ribs..... they were really good. Beautiful bbq bark on the outside incredibly seasoned (pastrami like taste). They did not need sauce. Wings were really good. Brisket was OK. I'll be back to try the pulled pork and sausage as finding even decent bbq is tough in this area. I did not like the collard greens at all which is unfortunate because it's one of the only vegetable options. Tasted like just funky steamed collard greens no good Smokey or bacon-ey taste. Only other thing I was disappointed in was the lack of sauces. This is bbq.......there should be at least 3 sauces of various flavors. They only have one house made bbq sauce which I will say is OUTSTANDING! Thank you dio for great service

This is going to be a personal preference but I like their BBQ sauce a lot. So much that I bought a bottle. They also have Crystal on the table. My kind of place! Their brisket is ok. Seemed a bit dry. Sausages were good and the pork was nice. Didn't really like the use of 'real' cheese on cheese fries. It needs the fake yellow plastic nacho cheese ;)

First time here, AMAZING hospitality and service! Food was top notch my favorite hands down was the brisket. Had the side of collard greens and were out of this world. Don't leave without the house-made bbq sauce!!

Awesome BBQ joint right in the palisades mall. Don't be fooled by its location, this place has a HUGE in house smoker right inside the restaurant. The service was incredible! Our waitress was super nice and contacting to our little ones, and the food was worthy of another trip to the area!

Compared to other bbq in the area, I believe Brothers is a winner. The food quality is great, and techniques of prep and cooking are perfectly mastered. The brisket has a flavorful crust and it breaks apart with a fork. The baked beans have all the right stuff to make them excellent. Baked Mac and cheese is BAKED. The chicken falls off the bone and smoked perfectly. Candied yams are perfect and you can actually taste the butter that you're SUPPOSED to bake into it, (they're the only ones who make it right) in my opinion. We ordered an appetizer of "burnt bacon ends", and so much flavor, and fall apart with a fork. The cocktails were potent, so beware . Did I say enough about the food? Even the service was great. One of the owners even swung by to see if we needed anything. If you haven't already gone, go. It's a nice relaxed atmosphere, and sometimes has live entertainment. You'll love it.

Still, it misses a few foundational beats when it comes to true Southern hospitality and comfort. Atmosphere & First Impressions From the outside, you might easily mistake the restaurant for being closed. The windows make it tough to see in, and on a rainy day with the outdoor seating empty, it feels a bit hidden away. You are greeted by a wonderfully comfortable waiting area featuring plush sofas and a seating bench. I also really appreciated seeing such a diverse crowd of customers dining here, which is especially refreshing to see for this area. Be warned before you walk through the door: bring a sweater. They do not skimp on the air conditioning; they blast it! On the positive side, the bathrooms are immaculate while keeping that traditional, classic BBQ joint feel. Seating & Service When we arrived, I requested a quieter area due to sensory sensitivities. We waited a bit and were ultimately seated right next to the noisy bar. It looked like there was a cozy little nook past the fireplace that would have been ideal, but it had a laptop sitting on it. Even for a Sunday supper, keeping areas like that closed off when a guest needs a quieter space felt like a missed opportunity. Our waitress was working double duty as a bartender, so she was straight to business. She was efficient enough to give us what we needed, but lacking that warm, conversational touch. At the end of the meal, we weren't thanked for coming in but told to drive safely. We were accidentally overcharged for a fountain soda we never ordered. While the waitress corrected it when pointed out, there was an absolute lack of an apology. Taking responsibility is part of the package. The Meal: Highs and Lows The Cornbread: Starting off, the meal kicks off with complimentary cornbread, but it comes with a couple of caveats. Depending on how you were raised, cornbread camps are deeply divided on sweetness. This version is very sweet, crumbly, and honey forward. It is almost tasting like a boxed Jiffy honey mix with some extras. Unfortunately, it was cold and served with ice cold, solid butter that wouldn't spread. If you want more, it's $2 a piece, a detail they really ought to mention upfront rather than leaving it as a surprise. It is nice that they give it complimentary but they are banking on you consuming it and when you get your BBQ you want more but have to pay. It would be nice to be upfront about this. The Meats: The barbecue itself delivers. The meat is smoked nicely. We sampled the pulled pork, brisket, chicken, and sausage, paired with table-side salt, pepper, and just one single type of BBQ sauce available on the table. The Sides & Fixins: The baked beans were good, but the sides could have been much hotter. The collard greens had a noticeable crunch from the stems and consisted strictly of greens without any pieces of pork or turkey mixed in. I liked that it was not too salty for my liking. As for the mac and cheese, it lacked that signature baked cheese crust on top as seen in photos online. Visiting around 5:30pm on a Sunday evening left us wondering if we caught the tail end of things or were served leftover portions. Tableware & Details The tableware leaves room for improvement. Aside from the metal meat trays, everything is served on melamine (plastic) plates rather than real ceramic and you are each given a cloth napkin. Furthermore, guests are only given butter knives, and the cutlery could definitely be elevated to better enjoy the experience - especially to ensure proper access to napkins for a messy barbecue meal. Drinks & Hospitality The Sweet Tea: The sweet tea is sweet and good. However, you are not offered a refill here. For a Southern style spot, not offering a complimentary or even low cost refill on sweet tea felt neglectful and impolite. It's a small touch of hospitality that goes a long way. With roots that spread throughout the south, I have not experienced this even consuming BBQ at home in NY. Other Drinks: Cocktails run around $16 a person (which made neighboring tables wince a bit at $32 for two drinks), but I thoroughly enjoyed a cold Shiner beer straight from Texas. My beer was $12 tall boy and COLD. Ultimately, despite a few missteps with the sides and service, they have the smoking technique down well. True Southern hospitality is about making folks feel welcome, warm, and genuinely cared for from the moment they step in to the moment they leave, and bringing more of that heart to the dining room would elevate this place immensely.

While I do love the duck breast and lamb chops included with the Classic package, we all felt Essentials was enough for this visit. Celia was our waitress. While things were a little slow getting started, once our first order went in, the food started flying out. Everything we ordered throughout the evening arrived much faster than it did on my previous visit. The menu makes it sound like they'll throttle you to only a couple of items at a time, but that really wasn't our experience. We were consistently able to order several items per person, so there was always something on the grill, more food on the way, and plenty to keep us chomping away. Our favorites this time? The top blade, brisket, hanger steak, pork belly, and even the salmon ceviche, which was surprisingly refreshing between rounds of grilled meat. We did have a couple of hiccups, but Celia was eager to make things right. After we received the wrong shrimp twice, she took it upon herself to get the manager involved. They tracked down the correct shrimp and brought it out. Thanks! Speaking of the manager, Andy was terrific. After another unpleasantry at our table, he came over and sincerely apologized several times. It was obvious he genuinely wanted to make things right. After we took a quick selfie together, he got us with a few complimentary cocktails. I have to say, anything here with cucumber in it is delicious here. Super refreshing. By the end of the meal, my son was a fluent griller and even said he liked Gyuzo more than the other all-you-can-eat BBQ places we've visited. That's about as good an endorsement as I can give. We'll certainly be back.

Unfortunately, we never even got to eat at the restaurant because of how disorganized the front desk was. We were quoted a 35-45 minute wait and were told to join the Yelp waitlist. We stood nearby the entire time waiting to be called. We never received any notification on our phones, and when we checked the app, our status had somehow changed from "waiting" to "cancelled." When we spoke with the hostess, she apologized and told us to wait because she would seat us next. Instead, we watched four other parties get seated before us. After waiting even longer, we went back to ask what was happening, only to be told it would be another 15-20 minutes. From what we observed, it also seemed like the restaurant was prioritizing seating larger parties over smaller ones. I can't say for certain whether that was their policy, but that's certainly how it appeared from our experience as multiple larger groups were seated while we continued to wait despite being told we were next. I completely understand that popular restaurants get busy, and I have no issue waiting my turn. What I do have an issue with is poor communication and disorganization from the hostess team. Mistakes happen, but telling customers they'll be seated next and then repeatedly seating other parties first is unacceptable. To make matters worse, this was our second night this weekend trying to eat here, and once again we left without ever getting a table. Despite the inconvenience and poor experience, no one offered an apology beyond a brief acknowledgment, nor was there any attempt to make things right or show goodwill for the time we had wasted. The food may be excellent, but we'll never know because the front-of-house experience was so poorly managed. A great restaurant starts with good customer service, and unfortunately, the hostess team left a very poor first impression. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this restaurant.

The place is veteran owned and has been in business for a while! All the choices on the menu are mouth watering good! After serious consideration we settled on sharing the Trinity platter which came with brisket, spare ribs and sausage links. We opted out of the sausage and upgraded the platter with pastrami. The Texas Trinity platter also comes with choices of pickles, one small sized side, we had Mac and Cheese, and 2 rolls. The portions were satisfying and good to share. The meats, oh my! All were smoked and cooked to perfection! Moist, juicy, and tender! Even better, they were seasoned so well there is no need for the also perfect sauces they offer! What an amazing experience at Red White n Que Smoke House! From the friendly and attentive service to their amazing smoked meats! All was top notch real at this place! I ordered a 1/2 pound pastrami sandwich and a side of creamy slaw. I did ask for a cup of water too, since they can give you free tap water. But back to the sandwich, it game on a tray where it was a puddle of grease on the paper. I don't normally eat so greasy so it took me by surprise and I pushed on through since I wanted to try it. Biting into it, felt like a struggle for some reason. Maybe it was too much meat but it was also just salty to the point where I was coughing a little. They have several types of sauces that helped it come together nicer. And the creamy slaw washed it down. On its own, I just could not finish the sandwich. Someone at my table got 1/4 pound pastrami but not the sandwich. It should have been similar to my sandwich but I had them try it. They said my sandwich was so salty that they may have even salted the bread too. It made me think I was just unlucky with my order as the salt built up in my sandwich. It is a very popular place, so I think I should try a different item, but my sandwich did not sit well with me.
