It was a nice experience. A cute and quaint place. Brought my MIL here for her birthday. Everyone ordered hospitali-tea on the menu. I loved my tea the best. Ordered their emerald sun tea which had such a perfect hint of almond and slight sweetness. We ordered their orange and carrot soup with cilantro and pistachio as garnish. We also ordered 5 types of teas for the table and everyone really enjoyed trying them all. Salad was delicious. We ordered both types of salads on the menu. Everyone had 3-4 cups of tea. The tiers came in finally which had scones, sandwiches, other sweet treats. I just wish we got more sandwiches and less sweet treats. Everything was nice. Everyone enjoyed the sandwiches. Service was great. The only issue was with the bathroom which seemed unsanitary so I didn't go in. Nice spot overall.

Cute spot to enjoy Afternoon Tea in Westwood! :) Took my family here for a pleasant Friday brunch- we all got the Tranquili-tea. I personally liked the Zucchini soup over Carrot soup; the Harmony salad was alright. The 5 finger sandwiches were all good and the dessert at the top were pretty ordinary.. but the scones & their tea were absolutely AMAZING! Highly recommend either their Cranberry or Oatmeal Apricot scone and their Chestnut black tea. Tip: make a reservation in advance and pay with cash (to avoid credit card service fee)

Lovely Peach Tea and my favorite of the finger sandwiches.

What a beautiful experience! The person who took our reservation was nice and very helpful. Our party of four (2 adults and 2 children) arrived and we were seated promptly by Michelle. This was my children's first time experiencing afternoon team - the Juevinil-tea and they love everything! They children enjoyed the strawberry and Hugs and kisses teas. My father in law and I had the tranquil-tea. I had a different expectation of the African Chickpea soup but it was tasty. Mr B enjoyed the pumpkin apple soup. The baked goods, especially the scones were delightful (I bought some to go!) the finger sandwiches were my not favorite but such is life. I appreciate all of the efforts made to offer a COVID safe experience. This is a delightful local business, Michelle was wonderful and we are excited to return!

My friend made a reservation here on a Sunday afternoon from 3pm to 5pm. They do 2 hour sessions. Its recommended to make a reservation, but to my surprise, there was only 1 other table of 2 during our visit. Upon entering, we were greeted by a server and we're promptly seated at our table. The server there was very sweet. She mentioned she's been going there since young and now works there because she loves the place. She then gave us some time for us to look at the menu. You get to choose from 3 options for high tea, we chose tranquili-tea, which comes with a choice of either soup or salad, 1 scone, an assortment of finger sandwiches, a few desserts and a pot of tea or iced tea. (This comes to about $33 per person after tax and tip.) You could also choose to just have tea. First the salad, I had the strawberry salad with the strawberry vinaigrette on the side, but I think it would've been good poured on top as well since it was light and refreshing, also not a lot. I devoured the salad.. it was really good, or I may have been hungry ... Next, I had their sandwiches. I have to say... I'm not impressed and don't understand why people were saying great things about them. I started from left to right, being lite to the most flavorful. Which was the better choice. First was the cucumber sandwich with dill I believe? It wasn't great nor was it bad, but gets 3/5. The second was the rectangular piece, I can't remember anything about it other than it's served with raisin bread and carrots. Third was the square piece, not gonna lie, don't recall this neither, just eatable, but tasted better than the previous. The fourth was the veggie roll, all you could taste was the pepper. It was overpowering. Last, and my favorite of the five, the asian inspired tart. It had the right amount of savory and was nice and crisp. The scone was probably the best part. I had the cranberry scone. It comes with lemon curd, cream and strawberry jam on the side. Here's the thing... having any of the sides with the scone alone, I personally didn't like. I then mixed and matched all the sides to try and finally found one I enjoyed. The lemon curd and cream together was my favorite pairing with the scone. The scone itself was fluffy and had soft crumbles when taken a bite. Lastly I tried all their sweets on top. The pie/tart was too sweet for me. May have been the overload of white chocolate chips. The cookies were really hard... I prefer a softer cookie. Lastly, the pound cake was simply pound cake. Overall, I enjoyed my time here, but to travel in from New York, I'd rather go somewhere else in the city. Don't get me wrong, it's a cute place, just not my cup of tea. Which reminds me... the two black teas at our table was pretty much the same...

To be fair, all she orders is the chicken salad sandwich and she has order nothing else. Today, that changed as we ordered the Apple Cranberry Crisp à la mode along with her Chicken Salad sandwich and that dessert was delicious! It wasn't too sweet and it had me thinking "what kind of apples do they use for this?" It even got reactions from everyone who dined nearby us in the restaurant. So the ambiance was very friendly as while it appeared like they were regulars, they were not because they've never seen the Apple Cranberry Crisp in person. We took our four month old infant and the place was accommodating to that as well. The decor was very traditional but very clean, like you were in the dining room of the golden age of your grandma's house (I hope that makes sense like it does for me). Anyway, I had the NJ Sloppy Joe and that was also delicious - especially with the sweet potato salad that came with it. I also had the cappuccino and the affogato because I had no coffee yet by this point of the day and I had to double down on my espresso intake lol. The Rolling Pin looks like it's been around for the past 75 years and I hope it sticks around for ever. Please give this place a try if you're nearby looking for lunch. You won't forget it!

The place is typically busy, especially packed on weekends. The drinks are pretty dang good, and unique. I've had about half the drinks on their menu now and I've enjoyed them all. Memento Mori is my current favorite, followed by Phoenix Feather. Drinks are not all super sweet or overpowering flavor wise, with a wide range of choices and varying intensities. The pastries are great too, and seem to cycle about half the offerings frequently. Their made to order menu is unique, with the Fat Bee being my regular choice. (Lavender cream, in a croissant, with a honey drizzle, lemon zest, and edible flowers) Thematic music is always playing, and it isnt so loud that you can't have a conversation. They also always seem to know what is playing if you want to listen to it later. Local artisans sell their wares that fit the vibe of the shop, with prints, hair accessories, essential oils, potions, and more; they seem to be very supportive of local creators. The walls are black, decorated with various pinned insects, flowers, and interesting small taxidermy in theme for the place. Furniture is varied and unique, along with a bar seating for 3 persons. With space for single patrons and small groups to find adequate seating assuming the location isnt packed with it being a fairly small space. This is my personal favorite coffee place (if it isnt obviousby now), and a weekly stop even though it is not on my way to other shops I frequent. Very glad they opened up, even though I'm not goth, it is easy to feel at home there. Including to my child, who adores their hot cocoa.

The owner added some thoughtful touches like board games, books, and high chairs. They showcase various products from local businesses like jewelry, mugs, bags, and headbands, so you can have yourself a little shopping trip while you're here. The drink menu has all of your classic espresso beverages. If you're into specialty drinks or sweet lattes, this is the place. They have an extensive list of flavored syrups. They also have smoothies, refreshers, tea, and hot chocolate. They have a good selection of freshly baked pastries made by local bakers. They even have breakfast/brunch options like pancakes, waffles, avocado toast, sandwiches, and oatmeal. I ordered: *Iced Latte 24 oz ~$7 - A strong, bold, and well-made latte with the right balance of espresso and milk! *Turkey & Cheese Croissant $7.50 - This was just okay. It didn't hit the spot for a breakfast sandwich. It tasted like those pre-packaged ones from corporate coffee shops :(The croissant could've been more buttery and soft. If you're in the River Vale, Westwood, or Hillsdale area, give this cafe a try! There's plenty of parking and indoor/outdoor seating. They even host free events - open mic, crafts, book club meetings, and more. It's a welcoming place for you to enjoy a coffee, work, study, or meet friends.
