Oftentimes I leave frustrated because at the chain stores I'm passed off or rushed. I leave feeling like I'm a burden because they're too busy having to take care of something else. The staff at Lemoi is the opposite of that. They're super friendly and I'm always greeted by someone at the front entrance. They're consistent with having ample staff ready to help if you need something or have questions. Last month I found an LED snowman face on their webpage and called their site to see if I could pick it up in store. Within a week, they had my snowman and I left with my purchase pleased with the service and quality of my product. They seem to have a lot of items in stock too. Months ago, I went on a separate trip with my dad looking for a missing part to repair his sump pump. He had visited Lowes, Menard's and Home Depot with no luck but happened to find what he needed here at an affordable price. Lemoi Ace Hardware has been in the area since 1895. The ability to stay in business for that long says a lot about the quality and service they put out. My recent experiences are testament to that and I hope they stay in business for generations to come.

It's surprising that both of them know all these details however it is a testament to the years. They have spent here at Home Depot, as well as attributing it to their prior lives before coming to Home Depot. These two people are so honest upfront and Home Depot is lucky to have them quite honestly They actually want to help and they don't shy away from helping. Now, if only Home Depot could figure out a better way to handle installers and vendors and the supply chain, this would be a completely win-win situation

Blower was returned to the owner of the Ace Hardware JT Weiss. I requested either a new blower of a full refund. Mr Wiess refused either, also called Toro the manufacturing Co and they refused a full refund. Mr Wiess offered a repair but I would have to pay up to $500.00 and Mr Weiss would pay the remainder for a new snow blower Mr. Wiess requested full price of the blower. It id now August 10, 2026 and I have not heard from Mr. Wiess nor the Manufacturer. I do not have my blower nor do I have a refund. The biggest scammers in the village of Glenview. Stay away from this store. The Manufacturer stated I have a 30 Day warranty, but I do not have the blower, nor a refund, nor a new blower its been SEVEN (7) MONTHS .

I first went to Menards and then Home Depot and they all said the same thing - we have the screen materials and tool kit but we don't do that type of work. In fact, Menards specifically mentioned Skokie Ace. So I came in and we got what I would consider a fair estimate for 8 of my screens. Now - could I have done this job myself? Of course, and I say that without flinching. The question was, do I sacrifice a Saturday afternoon to replace all of these screens? No, because I could be Yelping. I decided to pay for this work to buy some time. You may disagree but my Cost vs. Benefits analysis led to drop off all of my screens. They have a pretty impressive selection of soil, soil amendments, and fertilizers amongst garden decor and other sundries. If you're here for the first time as I was, it was honestly a little difficult to find the right entrance to get to the garden center/ outdoor entrance. When I had the items I needed, the outdoor registers were all closed at the time, so I had to wind my way back into the store. Not a huge deal, but just a head's up. They had some mini potted herb gardens for sale when I went, but all of the plants looked a little wilted or had seen better days. I can't speak too much on the other areas because I didn't need anything from hardware or cleaning supplies to name a few. However, I do know that they use a ton of mail-in rebates if that's of interest. Check-out was a little confusing: I remember that I had to maneuver a little differently with my cart since their process was different from most other stores. Not terribly difficult and the cashier was friendly about it. There was just no clear way to know how to navigate the register for the first time until you chat with the check-out clerk. Parking is generous but a little busy in an expansive private lot.
