EXPERIENCE…read more I didn't want to have to leave this review, but after the owners promised to make it right and then never made good on their promise, I can't stress enough how horrible our experience was with Moore and Smith. They were by a mile the highest quote, and we don't mind paying top dollar for good service, but this was nothing short of disappointing. The company came highly recommended, however they repeatedly dropped the ball on our rental when we needed to have trees removed. They presented a waiver to our tenants stating it was "to cover the property under insurance should anything happen". This was in fact a waiver in case the lawn and or driveway got torn up. I, as the owner of the property was NEVER presented this document, or I would have certainly requested to move the service to another day when the ground was more firm. Lo and behold, the lawn is a demolition derby, the driveway is damaged, and the tenants were picking up trash and debris for days. Not what I would expect for an $8000 service. When I called to get to the root of the problem and express my frustration, I spoke with Megan, who is equally as classless as she is condescending... not sure what swamp they dug her out of, but I've never been spoken to by a more repugnant person. Any company that would have THAT as their customer service person clearly doesn't give a shit about customer service... The owners called me back to apologize for how she spoke to me, which showed class, and promised to return to our rental, smooth out the tracks from the damage, and to reseed the lawn. He also promised to come to our property for free for a service should we need help. They never made good on either promise, and calls to the owner have been unreturned and texts left on read. Christopher Price came out and looked at our five trees - one of which is laying on an electrical wire, so time is of the essence. We made a plan to eliminate the danger, plus do a full day of trimming and nutrient injections. He seemed to really care about our trees and we were excited to work with him, even though the scope and the quote were beyond what we had initially planned on spending. What followed was three weeks of unfulfilled promises, excuses, and constant prodding on our part to get communication. We're relatively easygoing, but he committed to doing work for us, and then wouldn't send us a contract or set a date so it was super frustrating. As another reviewer said - if you don't have time for us or don't want to work with us, just let us know that so we don't waste our time. Three weeks later, I now have to start the hunt for a vendor all over again. It shouldn't be this hard to find someone who respects a client's time, especially when that client intends to pay you almost $2,000.

Rob showed up early and was very professional about everything, even offering tips on where to save money and what to avoid when taking on such a project. This poor guy had to trek through all of the shrubbery and bushes that are behind the fence to get measurements. The whole consult took about an hour and we were quoted just under $3K. Which includes the new iron fence, removal of the old fence, and the addition of another gate on the other side of the house. Sounds like a steal! We haven't gone forward with our extended fence, due to weather restrictions (see pics) but plan to move forward in late March!

They told us they'd have our pool installed in five to 7 weeks weather permitting. They came out, dug the hole and didn't come back for 3 months. There was no rain during this period last year. The father and son do not communicate with each other.Because they do not get along, the father will come out.And tell you everything you want to hear, and you can tell him everything you want.But that will not be communicated to the sun.That does the install. We asked for a salt water system.They installed chlorine and told us it wasn't in the contract. They also tried to pull a fast one with the removal of all the rock and dirt. The contract says three hundred dollars a load. Their own guys told us they would be out there with a dump truck to do this, and it would take about four loads. Instead, he sends out a guy with this smallest dump trailer possible, which would have taken twenty two loads. If they know you have money, they will scam, you in any possible way to get more out of you. Again, their work looks pretty when they're done. But if you don't watch everything they do, they will get you. Also, they did a horrible job on our liner. It has fallen off twice. And they put an ugly seam right where you can see it in the middle of our tanning ledge.

We agreed on a very specific job - then they conducted work TOTALLY outside of the agreement then charge you for it. They absolutely violate any contract and agreement. When we brought up the agreement and specs of the original work - they threatened, harassed, cursed, and acted totally unprofessionally. Unfortunately for them - they did this over email so we have a paper trail with their unprofessionalism. (Photos to come later). Ultimately they could not argue against their original agreement, and we did not pay for the work that was not agreed upon. BUT then that's when the retaliation began (note the harassment I detailed above and the job they left undone afterward)... 2. They do not show up on the schedule date or time. They have really poor communication skills, and arrived at a random date and time that worked for them - again - outside of what was agreed upon. 3. The workmanship was terrible - the fences they installed went outside our property line, cracked and broken portions, and they left the job incomplete and left all of their mess in our driveway that we then had to clean up ourselves (I'm talking wood, concrete, dust, nails, just all their mess and materials). 4. We have alerted this company to our local realtor community - and they have all agreed they will not be working with them again. I do not see them lasting much longer in business. Repeat - this place is a scam - be very careful when dealing with them - and please find another company with ethical practices, better reviews, and a better reputation.
