I really like visiting Wilson Creek. It is usually busy so prepare for that but they have so many places to sit, water misters, and I love the fact that you can walk through the fields. The only thing is the service isn't always spectacular. I'd rather get a bottle and spend time outside and not be at the bar too. We had no food but they did have an eatery on site with QR codes to order.
I love coming here. Such a chill and relaxing atmosphere. Good way to spend a lazy Sunday. Some food, wine and life music with family and friends. I will definitely be back to this winery.
Wilson Creek Winery is a popular winery that spans 90 acres in Temecula Wine Country. It was founded in 1996 and has a huge space, private residences, restaurants, and covered patios. You buy a tasting card at the counter and then you can try any six wines on their menu. Their most popular is the almond sparkling wine and they offer a variety of other flavors. We tried lots of different wines including the sauvignon blanc and petite sirah but our favorites were the different sparkling wines. It was less of a quiet wine-tasting vibe and more like a party-vibe. There were tons of people and we saw a lot of bachelorette parties. The music was loud and there was a fun social vibe. There were still some vineyards that you could walk through and take pictures, but the core of the action is where the food and drinks are. Even though it was geared toward adults I saw a lot of kids and strollers around. We spent a couple hours here drinking the different wines and relaxing at the table. It was fun to people-watch and just enjoy the experience and energy. If you are coming to Temecula Wine Country, this should be one of the places on your list to visit.
We came here on a Saturday a couple hours before closing and were expecting to be turned away from the section of the Winery that closes earlier. Upon inquiring we were pleasantly surprised and were taken to the part of the Winery we had hoped to visit. We were mindful that our time was limited and wanted to be respectful of the staff so we ordered quickly with our wonderful server Diana who was so lovely, patient, knowledgeable of wine selections and even made a recommendation for places in the area. Every member of the staff at Wilson's were so friendly, warm, helpful and accommodating. There was a larger party who were a bit loud but we inquired about moving outside and again were accommodated. Diana our server was incredible and we were very happy with our first time visit to Wilson Creek and will definitely be back.
This place is always one of my favorite stops whenever I'm in Temecula. The atmosphere and overall vibe are hard to beat and I love their sparkling wine. It's become a tradition for me to visit every time I'm in wine country and it never disappoints.
This is always our gotta-stop-here perfect break up the drive from here to there for any girls' weekend away that brings us anywhere close to Temecula. We've wine tasted before, but we know what we like and went straight for a couple bottles of White Cab. It's like sunshine in every sip! I love that they sink the bottles in a deep bucket of ice. Nothing better than a frosty pour on a warm day! Inside there's plenty of wine-thematic, seasonal items, and souvenirs for those who love useful, beautiful, or humorous gifts. Also inside the spacious building are the wine tasting and ordering bars. Friendly and knowledgeable folks are there to answer any questions and provide insight into your pour. Outside is the place for us! A beautiful day, warm sunshine, a gentle breeze in a beautiful setting? And the owner's dog!!! Yes please! We got there just a few minutes after opening, so we had our pick of the place for our desired seating. Pristine clean bathroom, immaculate grounds, plenty of parking, and easy access to the winery are all noteworthy. I will note we got here on a Friday a few minutes after opening. When we left, the place was filling up quickly! Come early if you can for maximum chillaxing. It's a great place to spend an afternoon with friends! Great conversation and before we knew it, it was time to be on our way. But rest assured, we'll be back again.
My husband and I had the best time for our birthday! the most delicious wine gets made on site and you get to try 6 ounces for $25 with the option to buy any bottle. Pricing per bottle is clearly listed on the menu so as you are trying you can decide if you want a bottle. oneAmazing way of figuring out your preferences. Just show up & they do the rest. Our host Bryan went above and beyond for our birthday. My husband and I have the same birthday on 9/10 and he made it special, it was beyond and above what we could hope for!!! so beautiful, highly recommend.
I am extremely disappointed by our recent experience at Wilson Creek Winery, particularly regarding the handling of sensitive customer information. During our visit, we spoke with a hostess named Makayla about joining the wine club. Unfortunately, the information we were initially given was inconsistent and, after having to clarify the details with our server, we discovered that several of the benefits and details presented to us were not accurate. This created enough confusion and concern that we ultimately decided not to move forward with the wine club. However, the most alarming part of our experience happened afterward. When we asked for the paperwork we had completed, which contained our full name, home address, and credit card information, Makayla was initially unable to locate it. After searching for some time, she eventually turned around and retrieved our paperwork from a regular trash can. That is completely unacceptable. Sensitive customer information, especially paperwork containing credit card and personal identifying information, should never be casually discarded in a regular trash receptacle where it could potentially be accessed by anyone. At that point, this became far more than a disappointing customer service experience, it became a serious concern regarding the handling and protection of customer data. Because of what we witnessed, we have completely lost confidence in moving forward with Wilson Creek Winery's wine club. More importantly, I believe this situation warrants immediate attention from management. I sincerely hope Wilson Creek has proper policies and procedures in place for handling sensitive customer information and that this incident was an isolated failure to follow them. I strongly encourage management to investigate this immediately, review how customer applications and payment information are collected, stored, and disposed of, and ensure employees are properly trained on the seriousness of protecting personal and financial information. I would also encourage current wine club members and recent visitors who have provided payment information on paper forms to review their account activity and monitor their credit information accordingly. We came to Wilson Creek expecting a professional and enjoyable winery experience. Instead, we left questioning whether our personal and financial information was handled securely. This is not something that should be brushed aside as a simple mistake. It deserves immediate attention and a clear response from management.
I absolutely love coming to Wilson Creek--it's easily one of my favorite wineries. It's definitely one of the more popular spots, and for good reason. They have a great selection of bubbly sparkling wines, and everything I've tried has been delicious. It's such a great place to bring family and friends to relax, enjoy the atmosphere, and stroll through the vineyards. My all-time favorite is the sangria sparkling--it's a must-try! They have plenty of other options too, especially if you enjoy sparkling wines. The atmosphere is one of the best parts. It's beautiful and welcoming, though it can get pretty crowded on weekends. I personally prefer during the weekdays when it's a bit more quieter and you can really take your time enjoy everything. Overall, it's my go-to spot for great wine and a relaxing experience. Highly recommend this winery.
I was recommended the Grapeline Wine Tour from the Front Desk agent that checked me in at the Embassy Suites. I can confirm I really enjoyed the tour! The individuals that were on the tour with me made it even more fun. Our tour guide and driver, Tony, was very knowledgable about the area, its history, and wine making. Wilson Creek Winery was our first stop of the tour. The winery is very nice and well kept. We walked over to Michael and Brian at the bar. They gave us some wine to start the tour off. They also acknowledged my birthday by giving me a necklace with a cork on it. Such a sweet gesture. "Motor City Mike" is an incredible teacher. He gave us a tour around the winery, educated us about viniculture and corks, and taught us about the Wilson's history. By the end of the tour, we had tasted five different wines already. I enjoyed all their wine and will definitely be back!
$30 for 6 wine tastings. Great flow and fun to navigate the wine tasting experience. Went here while on a retreat in Temecula. It was highly recommended. The restaurant food was ok lots of flies. There was one served on our dish/food (eww). Lively grounds, saw birthday celebrations, family gatherings, girl outings and so so much more. Great and generous service. Came to Wilson's Creek Winery to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday and I'm so glad we chose this spot. From the moment we got there, everyone was so welcoming and helpful. I had called ahead about bringing a cake because of the heat, and they were more than accommodating. When we arrived, they kindly took it and kept it in the fridge for us, which I really appreciated with how hot it was that day. Sonia at the front was amazing. I went up to her a few times throughout our visit and she was always so sweet, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed. That kind of service really stands out. Between the service, the setting, and how well everything flowed, it's easy to see why this place is always at the top when you look up wineries in Temecula. The staff really makes the experience. We had such a memorable day. She was so happy, and that meant everything to me. Cheers to 21 and to a place that made it feel extra special. Highly recommend.
They have plenty of parking and are on a beautiful property! They have so many picture spots and sitting areas to enjoy your wine. We came here as our first stop. They have the store were you buy your wine and souvenirs. They do try to keep you in there for the flight to avoid giving you too many glasses but we asked for more as we were sharing flights (we were going to have plenty of stops). This is a family friendly place with an upscale feel. They have a nice looking restaurant on property and a place for events. We went during the holidays so they have photo ops with holiday theme. The wine was tasty from their full bodied reds to their crispier lighter whites. Our biggest highlight was just the whole experience and enjoying quality time.
I love this winery it is huge and has everything you need for friends and family. Lots of places to sit, playing area for kids, big restaurant, and cool tasting room. There also have a cool gift shop where you can buy drinks, snacks, candy, clothes and lots of souvenirs. They have free live music on most weekends and a big dance floor. Highly recommend this winery if you only have time to stop at one. Service has been good at the restaurant, out door bar, and the gift shop. read more

The parking is pretty open and dirt, so beware when it starts raining! Security was around the front, staff was cool. Seating is 1st come 1st serve, open seating. Our group initially wanted to do wine tasting, but we ended up getting bottles at our table instead. So definitely something I am coming back for to try. The 1st half of our group was there 1st and had gotten Peach Bellini and mixing it with the Almond wine. Those by itself, are sweet already, so mixing the 2 gave me cavities! Lol. I'm probably just exaggerating because I prefer drys. Sodas are soda in cans with a cup of ice. They ran out of ice cream so no sundaes for us. The Charcuterie Box was really a personal box. Or maybe I was greedy and hungry. Lol. I think the serving size for it would typically be 2people.. I also ordered a sandwich platter and pepperoni pizza for my kiddos. The food was kinda just basic. great food, and great community! we were sat at a cabana for our friend's bday. pleasantly surprised that it was also dog and kid friendly too with some adoptable furry friends! asides from ambience, the drinks were amazing; highly recommend the ultimate slushies (they rotate flavors but ours was the limoncello freeze topped with a sweet red wine) we experienced great hospitality from our goated server, ELLINGTON and his team! he went above and beyond from recommendations, options, and accommodations. his team also consistently also cleared our table as well. amazing winery!!! merci, ellington and wilson creek! read more

Wilson creek is a great place for sparkling wines. They have a variety of sparkling wines as well as regular wines. For sparkling wines, we got the bottle of Almond, Watermelon, and Lemoncello. We also got the 2021 red wine. I definitely enjoyed all but the Almond and Lemoncello stood out. I love the huge bottle and champagne glass art display right as you enter the winery. The tasting room was huge and the property allowed for numerous seating areas. There's an area in the back for a mini exploration up the vineyards and a restaurant if you want to order food. Great service happily replaced it, but it left me with the impression that white wines were best left to Napa and Sonoma. You definitely have to put Wilson Creek on your wine list if you are making a Temecula wine tasting run! There is something for everyone here at Wilson Creek. There is tons of space for large groups and the tasting room is massive so waiting for a taste is not a problem. Everyone working here at Wilson Creek is awesome! They take care of their customers! If you are somebody who is an "experienced wine drinker" haha, they have some good library wines to warm you up. If you have people in your party who are novices they have a great selection of sparkling and crisps whites to ease them into it. And finally if you are somebody who wants to step into the red wine atmosphere I believe they have one of the best bottles to do so, Wilson Creeks Cab/Zin is a great red wine for people who are just getting into red wine as it is very fruit forward and extremely easy drinking. read more

11/25/24! Lovely little outing over in Temecula. Wilson Creek is an absolutely beautiful winery.! While my parents and my brother-in-law were gambling over in Pechanga, we went and had ourselves a wonderful time at the winery . My sister brought over a charcuterie board and we enjoyed that as we sat under a canopy of the grape vines.. we went into the market side and looked at the types of wines they were offering, and we decided we will look for more maybe at a another winery with better selection. The courtyard is wonderful and is very airy with plenty of outdoor seating and there's plenty of parking spaces as well . Would love to return and come back to this lovely winery . read more

After the wedding rehearsal and having driven up from San Diego with no breakfast. Our daughter-in-law recommended Wilson Creek Winery for the family/wedding party luncheon. A place her and our son had frequented before and had also considered as their wedding site. With parking reminiscent to an amusement park, very spacious and extremely popular. Outdoor tables enough to accommodate numerous large or small groups. Food is ordered at the counter of the Courtyard Bar & Grill. You're then given about a 15 minute wait before returning to pickup your food and drinks. My wife and I went with the brisket nachos and a cheese pizza. As well my root beer. While our younger son ordered a pepperoni pizza and shared some of our nachos, which he and my wife were not too pleased with. I thought they tasted just fine. Our sons, as well as the rest of our party of about 11, passing their various bottles of spirits around for samplings. As well as whatever foods they had ordered. And as multiple groups continued to arrive as we were leaving, there were still plenty of tables to spare. read more

Monday, October 21,2024: Sadly, the Temecula Valley Wine Society (TVWS) came to an official close on November 1, 2024. But not before we were able to present a check for $17k for the Viticulture Scholarship Program at Mt San Jacinto College (MSJC). We met in the library located on the second floor above the gift shop. The check was presented to Greg Pennyroyal, the vineyard manager & Professor of Viticulture at MSJC. The venerable matriarch, Rose Wilson, was in attendance for this momentous occasion. The TVWS board was in attendance and other important people shared in this event. It was a fitting end to an organization whose membership & interest waned tremendously after COVID. It was no longer fiscally sustainable. It was so sad for me especially having only been a member for a short time. Wilson Creek Winery has always been so gracious and supportive of TVWS. We held our 2023 Christmas Party here. Again they allowed us to use their wonderful library for the check presentation. read more

First off, disclaimer: We don't know much about wine (except what we like and okay, I pasted up a wine newsletter as a graphic artist in the early '90s so I know what I read in there). We did not enjoy our tasting yet felt compelled to bring home the least offensive tasting one, but it still sits in the fridge untouched. Lunch was excellent! The grill was delicious with a special burnt ends BBQ brisket and tasty sides. The other dishes were a nice flatiron steak and potatoes with a crunchy fresh Cesar salad, I think. A frosty blended wine was super refreshing in the July heat but under the cool patio with ceiling fans there were no worries in the world. It really is like an amusement park for a winery! Gift shop was huge! Lots of things to do and see and photograph outside (and taste) all over! If I was a bride & groom or a pair of brides or a pair of grooms I might do a wedding here. The hotel is pricey but seems nice from the photos and what I could see from where we walked. Service was "stuck up" and "snooty" but adequate. Like. . . if you have a low self esteem, don't take it personally. It really isn't you----lol----it is them. Overall, I'd say it would be a perfect first date place if your person was open to it. read more

This was one of the biggest winery's I've ever been to. Came here on a Friday evening. I originally came for a wine tasting and when I called they said they stop tasting at 6pm but they actually stopped at 5:30 so I missed it. They still let me sample a few until I determined what I would like a glass of. I went with the Peach Bellini...a very light and crisp sparkling wine. The place was packed as they had a live band called Full Effect and they were awesome. They did R&B cover songs from 80's to 2000's. Everyone was dancing having a good time. I ended up eating at the restaurant and wasn't that impressed. I had the steak and fries. I asked for the steak medium rare and it came almost well done. It was all a little under seasoned and it took so long I didn't send it back. Overall very entertaining and lively experience. Would definitely do it again, read more

This place is beautiful. Very laid back chill vibe. Grounds are free to walk around and take photos. The wine tasting is $30 and comes with 6 small glasses (pictured). The bartenders seem inconsistent with their pours, giving some customers more and some less. While visiting Temecula we dropped in at Wilson Creek Winery. With its picturesque views of thier rolling vineyards, contemporary wine tasting rooms, and tranquil seating areas, it's definitely a culinary and wine connoisseur destination. The winery has knowledgeable Sommeliers that walked us through the various vineyard's wine blends. Each wine we tried were well balanced and harmonious, with its components working together to allow the flavors and aromas to shine through. Excellent selections! I came here with my family on Mother's Day and we all had a great time. The winery provides a large parking lot and expansive outdoor spaces for guests to hangout with wine and food. We did two wine tasting ($30 each) and each tasting came with 6 pours. We shared 12 pours among 4 people and it was just right. We ended up buying 10 bottles of cabernet sauvignon and opened 2 bottles at the Creekside Grille. The bartender was great, but the service at the restaurant was mediocre. We waited for a very long time to get our entrees. I had to flag down our waiter a few times. For appetizers, we ordered the flat bread, charcuterie board, and fries. For entrees, we ordered steak frites, burger, salad, and quesadilla for the kids. Everything tasted good. I would definitely come back! read more

My first time at a winery! Came here for a friends birthday (even though I absolutely can't do wine). I was glad I didn't have to purchase a tasting because I came in with a plan to purchase one and give it away to my friends LOL My boyfriend bought a tasting and had 6 to do. I only tasted some of them, but they weren't too bad at all. We planned to come from FV area at 8 am to make it there by 10 am and get the tables. We ended up making it there by 12 pm but still had a table! By the time we left, there were honestly no more tables to occupy. I would plan ahead if you want to bring a lot of people here. Totally kid friendly! They have swing sets and other things for kids to occupy themselves. I believe walk-ins are accepted.
Do they still have the all you can eat Sunday brunch? It's been a while since I have been but I remember I loved it there for this.
Unfortunately, post-covid they don't. Now, they just have breakfast specials on Sunday.

Is there a lot of walking involved for the 1 hour wine tour? I have two older ladies joining us.
Yes ... the whole tour is walking and standing and in between it all we have our glasses poured with different favors of wine
Is there a location that we can bring our food and have nice picnic at Wilson creek winery?
They don't allow outside food or snacks.
Are there TVs in the restaurant or bar area?
No it's not a Buffalo Wild Wings lol. It's a winery so you'll have to be entertained by the people around you and socialize and enjoy the scenery.
Do the outdoor areas have misters for hot weather?
I was there a couple of weeks ago and did not see misters in the outdoor restaurant but it was a mild and breeze afternoon
How much does the winery taste card? How many taste does it come with me?
The tasting was $30 when I went on a weekend. I believe it is a lil bit cheaper on weekdays if anything and it comes with 7 tastings.
How many people does the courtyard private Cabana accommodate?
I just called the events department and they told me it would hold about 15-20 people (15 comfortably).
I have a party of 8 Do we need a reservation?
Hi Kimberly! Yes, you need a a reservation. They reserve tables for up to 10 at a time.
Can you take your own snacks and have a picnic?
No they won't let you bring in outside food or beverages. I have brought in my own bottled water.
Is this place kid friendly?
Yes! Very kid friendly! They even have a play area for them. You can taste outside while they play. Fun winery for all!
