He said the tooth in question would not have been able to help anyway since I did not have another tooth directly below it . He recommended pulling it since there was no cosmetic benefit, I could chew fine without it and pulling it would be far less expensive. I have the impression that they sometimes recommend procedures that are unnecessary, and their fees are fairly high.

I will start by saying the medical team I interacted with was amazing. They billed the wrong…read moreinsurance (one given to them last year, before I was even a patient), and I paid much more out of pocket than I should have. This was an administrative issue, but how it was handled is where I became frustrated. On March 26th, they said they would bill the correct insurance. I checked my insurance portal to make sure the claim was registered for 3 weeks, and never saw it populate. I reached back out on April 16th to check on the status because I didn't see it on the insurance side at all. In an email correspondence on April 16th, I was told that they billed the correct insurance on March 26th, but that she would resubmit it to make sure. Coincidentally, I finally saw the claim registered on the portal and then received the EOB in the mail on April 29th. I emailed them on the 29th to let them know that I received my copy of the EOB and asked for the timeline and process of getting a refund for the overpayment. I did not hear back. I emailed again on May 5th to follow up -- again, no reply. I called on May 6th, and as told, everything was still pending. I let the lady know that I am showing that payment was issued. She said their insurance person would review and call me back the next day. I waited all day, the next day, and again ... no call back. I called them at 1pm to follow up because I knew they closed soon, and was told the insurance person went to run an errand and would be back within an hour. I waited by the phone for 2 hours until their closing time to receive the phone call, and you guessed it ... no phone call again. It wasn't until I reached out to my dental insurance company to help with my money being held with no response from Tolley. I finally was able to get assistance and speak with a manager. There was little to no accountability, and I was told repeatedly that they ignored my requests for calls/emails because they had no information to share. Communication was the root of this issue and continued to perpetuate it throughout the past month. They continued to stand by their reasoning of not answering my emails/calls. I am disappointed as I changed my insurance specifically to become a patient here, and while the medical team was phenomenal, the front desk team and leadership of the practice is lacking basic customer service skills.

It's beautiful and relaxing. My first appointment was an emergency one. She got me in the next day and fixed the problem during the visit. There was a major delay (lots of emergencies, she was the only one in the office that day) but she and her staff kept me in the loop and explained options - hang tight, come back later, or reschedule - and let me pick. I stayed and they were very professional and friendly and checked in on me to give me regular updates. My second appointment was a check up but I knew I would need work done. I explained that to the front desk and they were able to book back-to-back time slots so I could get my check up and then work done. During the check up and dental work Dr Mitra and her assistant were extra attentive to my over all comfort. Which I think is super important in a dentist. She has state-of-the-art equipment and the exam chairs have gentle massage rollers. There are two TV's in each room - one to watch while you wait and another on the ceiling you can watch during the exam. I Dr Mitra has well trained and polite staff. And during the long treatment I needed I think their thoughtfulness was really highlighted.

And then the receptionist told us (We felt she was afraid to say it. Because the first paperwork she asked us to sign with $0 cost) that they would charge us $75 as consulting fee. The consulting fee can be waived if we choose to have our treatment done. However we had been told that they have no time to do the treatment. They had next appointment coming soon. When we made the appointment, we clearly told the front desk what we need: quote for making two small teeth bigger (Veneer or Resin Filling). The front desk told us that we needed to see a doctor in order to give us a quote. No one told us that if you want to get this so-called quote, it would cost $75. The receptionist who made the appointment didn't tell us. The receptionist who confirmed the appointment didn't tell us. The dental assistant who welcomed us in didn't tell us. I think the money was charged when my wife said she wanted to consider when the next appointment would be and gave them call back. The reason why we were there is because my wife's orthodontist (from the other institution) only offered Invisalign and braces. My wife wants to have her teeth filling before going back to the orthodontist so that he can order retainer for her. Her appointment with the orthodontist is two weeks later. She thought it would be better to have teeth done the day before seeing the orthodontist. That was why we did not decide to have teeth done right after they gave us quotes. Because they were going to charge for "consulting fee", we chose to have teeth resin ($333 for one tooth resin, $1000 or so for one tooth veneer) instead. Then they said they had no time! When we questioned about $75 (we obviously could tell they came up with the price out of blue: employees communicated with each other through cellphone), they knew it was their mistake not to mention the fee before we met with dr. Hall. When we told them that we felt uncomfortable with paying the fee in which they didn't notify us in advance. The receptionist reported our concern to dr. Hall. When the receptionist came back, she said we had been given a discount on the resin filling fee ($333 for per tooth resin). It supposed to be $1000. Before we visited here, my wife's orthodontist already told her resin fillings for each tooth probably cost $300. Does this so-called discount have anything to do with the $75 they charged? We paid it anyway at the end. Basically we paid it for the dentist's precious 10-15 minutes for quotes. If they let us know in the first place and didn't give us excuses, we wouldn't be so upset.

Perhaps personnel changes have made a difference; their facility replaced the former Ruby Tuesday location a few years ago. I found the staff at Aspen personable and responsive, a far cry from other experiences with others in the past (not local to Winchester). I do highly recommend them.

Unfortunately, my experience has taken a very disappointing turn. I first came in on 5/13 with severe tooth pain. After that visit, I walked away with a $6,000 treatment plan and an appointment scheduled a week out--but no relief. I was told I needed a root canal, two crowns, and a cavity filled. That cavity still isn't filled to this day. When the pain worsened, we reached out for help and heard nothing back. We ended up needing to schedule another appointment just to get something for the pain. Fast forward almost a full month later, and I'm in just as much pain--if not more--than when I first walked through the doors. At this point, I have two temporary crowns--one on each side--and the cavity that should've been addressed immediately has become so painful that even air hitting it is unbearable. Now, the tooth behind the one that had the root canal (but still doesn't have the permanent crown) is throbbing. I understand dental work takes time, but I came here with pain and left with more of it, and with little resolution after weeks of waiting. It's heartbreaking and frustrating to feel like things were not only left incomplete--but possibly made worse. But Dr. Gaitan and Fatima made all the difference, today. From the very first appointment, Dr. Gaitan has been kind and patient through this process. Each time I've sat in his chair, he's eased my concerns and made me feel confident in the care I was receiving. Over today when I had additional concerns, he sat right through them all with the same kindness. Fatima was a sunny spot in the morning, equally amazing--knowledgeable, professional, and attentive. Today's visit was no exception. They both took the time to go over the procedure as we went through each part of the procedure. The only hiccup I experienced was during a time Dr. Gaitan was on vacation. Unfortunately, dealing with the front desk in his absence was frustrating and lacked the same level of communication and support. That said, when Dr. Gaitan is present, the experience is exceptional. I'm so grateful for the professionalism, compassion, and expertise shown by Dr. Gaitan and Fatima. Highly recommend!
