My doctor sent me to Winchester Vision Care several weeks back for an updated eye test. I have to say I was truly impressed by their collective kindness and professionalism. We had a humorous conversation both during the initial exam and with the eye doctor. This is a team that works well together, and you can tell by the end product which was a very pleasurable experience. I would give them 5 stars, but I was a little disappointed by the hours of operation. They're open after 5:00 p.m. only 3 days a week and closed on weekends, which made it difficult for me to schedule an appointment to accommodate my work schedule. The old saying is your front staff can make or break your practice and your break and your practice on three different occasions I have called the first one was to just schedule my yearly appointment. Someone text me and asked me what day and time would work best for me I put in the time never a reply back so after two weeks, I had to call them to get an appointment . The second time I text to request an appointment I was told they could not schedule me an appointment because I owe the balance on my contacts that I had paid and I explained to the girl that that was already paid. She looks in my account and goes sorry it was paid I guess I will take this alert off there. Sorry.. Third time I called or text I was having a vision problem and called to schedule an appointment. I knew something was wrong with my eyes. I wanted to get in to see the doctor sent a text. No response set another text. I did reply back when and what time I put any time will be fine no reply back . I called the following week. The young lady said oh I got it . It was checked off that it was done sorry . I've was a patient at this establishment for many years. I purchased a pair of no line bifocals. They did not work for me and the doctor explained that some people can not wear no line bifocals, and they would remake them. I paid $90 for the no line and since no fault of my own, I expected a refund of the $90. For five months I waited on a refund. I went in monthly for 5 months to inquire when I would receive a refund. Each month the employee at the front desk assured me it had been processed. The final time I went in, she went to the back of the office and spoke with someone. She then came out and told me NO refund would be given because it cost them to send the glasses back to be remade. 1st I'm hearing this in 5 months of in person attempts to get a refund. I asked what was the cost to Winchester Vision, and received no answer. So I guess their cost is whatever they owe you! They do not tell you prior to placing an eyeglass order that there are no refunds My advise is not to NOT purchase eyewear from Winchester Vision! Do not put yourself in the position where you should be owed a refund. That unprofessionalism, and likely untruthful excuse to keep my money, cost them my business! They are an amazing group! Always so friendly and helpful. And, remember you! I went in for my eye appointment and later that week took my son. He ended up having a nose bleed during his appointment and they went above and beyond helping him, even getting his a baggie of ice. They remember things you said in conversation and bring it up on the next appointments. Can't recommend them enough! read more

Ive been coming here for the past year and its great. The staff are very professional. I bring all my kids here and they work so well with all of them. The lobby is relaxing with magazines, music and toys for the kids. They have those awesome fund raising almond candy bars too lol. You can tell the staff knows what they're doing and not once have messed up my appointments. As far as the medical portion the location has all up to date machines and eye care practices. When I've had an issue with any of my glasses they were replaced within a few days at no charge. This place is excellent. read more

I've been going here for years and was always impressed with how comprehensive their exams are. But the last time I went, I complained about double vision and having difficulty with my vision that got worse throughout the day. The doctor told me that if I close one eye, I should be able to see fine with the other. I told him that wasn't true at all, but he insisted and scheduled me for a consult to get Lasik. I lost all trust that he knew what he was doing. read more

We have been coming to this office for at least 10 years. When our college age son got something in his eye. Dr. Myer told us to meet him a the office in 10 minutes. He stopped what he was doing (on the weekend) and came to attend him. We were grateful. read more

Had to order my glasses 2 times to get them right. Wasn't real impressed with that situation. Was told I'd probably have to pay for the lense reorder for the second attempt to get my glasses right. Told them I'd call and ask my insurance how to handle it since it took 2 attempts to get my glasses right. Received my lenses for no cost. Will not return. read more
