My husband and i had Winder come out for a re-pipe for our hot and cold water lines on our water heater. whoever had installed the lines previously had them exposed outside of the wall and cemented into the ground! We were having our backyard being worked on at the time to remove the cement from around the pipes and they had shattered from being so brittle! We had to temporarily fix them w/ PVC until we could get the plumber out. i called them up and they had come out the next day to fix everything, and it was HOT outside! I had the pleasure of doing business with this fantastic plumbing business today. We had new counter tops installed yesterday in two of our bathrooms. The countertops needed four faucets to be installed and we decided to have our powder room pedestal sink faucets replaced as well. My wife contacted Winder Plumbing and was delighted with the estimate to install all five faucets. Alec arrived at our house right on time and was very congenial and professional. In addition to the faucets being installed, we also needed six water valve connectors replaced. Alec replaced the valves in record time to eliminate the length of time that the water had to be turned off. It turned out that the countertops were installed with the faucet holes being drilled too close to the the drain position. Alec modified the parts of the faucet and installed them perfectly. He did all of this in stride, where other plumbers would have given up. We found a couple of other plumbing issues that Alec took care of for us. I can honestly say that Alec is the nicest and friendliest contractor that I have had perform work in my house. Dan did a great job for us. We are preparing to rent out our house, and our plumbing needed some repairs and updating. After he fixed all the obvious stuff, Dan checked over the whole house. He found a leak in the kitchen wall that had been slowly leaking for many years. We were a bit worried, but he explained the remedy in a realistic way that made sense. Dan's taken care of three jobs at my rental property in the last year, and I can say that he's always reliable and does great work. I've had poor experiences with other plumbers in the past - shoddy work, not showing up, etc. Never had an issue with Dan. Most recently he took care of a wobbly, constantly-running toilet, which has been a problem for years. He found that the floor itself was uneven, causing the wobbliness, and the plastic flange was busted. He had to remove the toilet, pull up the vinyl flooring, jackhammer the concrete, remove the old flange and replace it with a new metal one, and fill in the concrete. After all this he was still able to re-set the original vinyl flooring and it looks good as new. Awesome work, very reasonable price. Highly recommended. read more

I awoke one morning to the sound of water runnning. I thought it was one of my toilets, but that didn't seem to be the case. I opened my sliding door to see water on my patio, that seemed to be coming from my faucet, connected to the rear of my house. It was a slow leak, but it had to be fixed. I went on Yelp to find a plumber that could come right out, and went through four before I found Winder. They came out IMMEDIATELY, used a tool, that aimed at my wall, that was connected between the bathroom and my bedroom and right away found where the leak was. They opened a hole in the wall and fixed the leak. They then called someone, from a flood restoration company and within hours they came and started removing the wall to the bathroom and the wall facing the rear of the house. I couldn't see anything that was wet...nothing had come onto either floor, but they were making sure that nothing could be wet, and cause mold. So for several days I had blowers on the area. They then came back and completely re-built my bathroom cabinets, sinks and walls, with completely new materials. I was so happy that Winder saw the potential for a bigger problem and came, to my rescue, right away. Thank you Winder! read more
