We had to change out our kitchen faucet as it was leaking. My husband can usually tackle most jobs but he couldn't get the old faucet out due to rust and the fact it hadn't been switched out in 20 years. He asked me to call a plumber. We haven't used a plumber since we moved to Murrieta 3 1/2 years ago so I looked on Yelp and Winder plumbing popped up with outstanding reviews and they were close by. I called and they said they were working on a big job but would try to get some on out in the morning. Dan called and said he was on his way. Dan is friendly and a great plumber. Price to take out our old faucet and replace it with the new one we had bought was very reasonable. He also made sure he didn't leave any mess behind. Highly recommend Winder Plumbing. We tried a number of plumbers, who we were not happy with, before finding Winder Plumbing, which was recommended by our HVAC guy. Our house is 24 years old so lots of things are starting to go wrong. Dan Winder has done big and small jobs for us, and we couldn't be more satisfied. He is reliable, honest and reasonable in pricing. He has replaced our hot water heater, fixed our dishwasher, replaced a few faucets and replaced some copper pipe with pex. I'm pretty handy and used to do much of my own plumbing work (too old for soldering now) so I can tell that Dan does excellent work. read more

I've known Dan for a long time and if you want someone with as much experience as you can possibly get in the residential plumbing business, you've found the man. He is neat and clean. His van is neat and clean. His work is neat and clean. He takes no risks and will only proceed with a fix that he is certain will work long term, even if its not the easiest way. But here's the important part - Dan is an honest man to a fault. Please no one sue me but news-flash... a lot of service people are not honest. Many service people get too few calls and try to make every call the jackpot. It's hard having a stranger in your house in the first place, but not knowing if the man standing in front of you is deceiving you into spending far more money than is truly necessary is the worst. This is where Yelp really works for you. You rip people off, its going on Yelp. Dan has excellent reviews for sound reason. He knows his stuff, has the tools, has the parts and he won't rip you off. This has a lot to do with his personal character, but you'll figure that out when he gives you a quote. And that's what I have to say about Dan Winder. read more

excellent work provided by this company! right on point to repair and take care of my plumbing issues, actually spotted a leaking valve on my water heater which I did not even know about, and hooked up the repairs with no drama. ironically my neighbor had a slab leak the same day he was at my house so I referred and they helped her out as well. super cool and def willing to use them again if necessary. read more

Had a new gas range installed and it was too big, couldn't open the dishwasher. Called two plumbers today and to get quotes on moving the valve to get some more clearance. Wayne came out and looked at everything. He made some suggestions and fixed the problem. He tried to save us money which he did. 25 bucks is 25 bucks!! This morning I tried cleaning my garbage disposal and found that it was totally blocked! I freaked out because I needed to do dishes. I found Winder plumbing here on Yelp; saw they had amazing reviews so I called. I believe it was Daniel who answered my call. This was at around 9:30 am. He was very nice and gave me a fast quote over the phone. He said there was one job ahead of me but that he'd send someone out late morning or early afternoon. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because I didn't hear from them again until I called them back around three times at 3 o'clock. They didn't actually come to my house until almost 4 o'clock. I do understand that they never know what job they're walking into or exactly how long it'll take. I would have appreciated a phone call; wouldn't have needed to stay home all day waiting for them. Once here, though, the service was amazing. They fixed the problem immediately and the quote I was given on the phone was exactly how much I paid; there were no surprises. I will almost definitely use them again--should we need to. The best I have found! I had a faulty valve that needed to be replaced (requiring my driveway to be dug up and new concrete laid), a new bathtub set, toilet installed and all fixtures put in. They did it all!!! The most honest guys I have ever met, and I have dealt with A LOT of construction/plumbing companies over the last couple of years . They made me feel very comfortable with the sizable amount of work I was having done, great pricing and a joy to have around. I already have my next job lined up with them. It truly puts me at easy to know I have a plumber I can count on for any job and not have to worry about being done wrong or going broke. They have earned themselves a customer for life! read more

Also gave an excellent referral to a water damage restoration company - after repairs were made Daniel returned for final install of water heater. I had a water heater crap out recently. I contacted 5 plumbers as part of my due diligence to see what my options were. I contacted the big name plumbers and they were TWICE THE PRICE! Let me say that again, TWICE THE PRICE! And it goes without saying that when your dealing with plumbers you never know what your going to get. As the most skeptical of customers I can highly recommend Winder plumbing. The price was extremely competitive but not the cheapest, however you always get what you pay for so I hardly ever go with the cheapest bid. Work was done quickly and efficiently and will definitely use Winder again in the future. read more

What a great organization! I was told that they would be there between 8 and 10 in the morning, and they arrived precisely at 8. I had a shower valve that needed to be replaced (the dreadful Moen faucet that tends to lock up with non-use), and they had the new part installed and the shower working perfectly in less than an hour. He explained everything to me in terms I could understand, and told me how to prevent this from happening in the future. Pricing was very reasonable, and they were out the door! Dan price matched the lowest estimate we got for an expensive repair. Alec was able to come first thing the next morning, and then tried the least expensive fix for our shower, rather than jumping into the really expensive repair we had thought necessary. Jessica in the office was very friendly and extremely helpful as well, keeping me updated on when to expect them to arrive. I needed a part replaced on my water heater and had been without hot water for a few days while getting the run around from other companies. On the day before our scheduled appointment which had been made over 2 weeks previously, Dan called to say they were "trying to play catch up" and questioned whether I still wanted the appointment. I said yes I was expecting him to be there. He asked what I needed done so I told him again even though I had explained in detail the work I needed performed when I scheduled the appointment. My perception was he had more lucrative jobs that he wanted to prioritize over my small job. He finally said he would be there and hung up on me. After thinking about the situation I called back and said I did not want him to come and his response was "good", confirming my suspicions that he did not want the work. My complaint is that Dan called the day before the appointment and tried to get me to reschedule. When I resisted rescheduling because we had waited over two weeks, he became petulant and unprofessional. Had I known this at the time I made the appointment, I would have found someone else glad for the work and had it completed sooner. read more
