If I could give zero stars, I would. This place is an absolute joke. Today was the last straw. I had an ultrasound appointment scheduled -- and just like every other time with this miserable excuse for a clinic, they canceled it without telling me. I followed strict pre-ultrasound instructions: no food, no water. I canceled my daughter's class. I rearranged a complicated schedule to be there, and I showed up hungry, tired, and ready -- only to be told "Oh, your appointment was canceled." They claimed they sent a text. I don't have a text. I don't have a call. And when I asked why they didn't call, the front desk shrugged and said, "Oh, we did... at first." THEN the story changed -- now apparently the ultrasound tech had to take a three-week emergency break. Three weeks. Emergency. Make it make sense. What's worse is this isn't a one-time thing. This place has consistently failed me and my husband. Appointment changes without notice, horrendous front desk staff who act like you're inconveniencing them just by showing up, and a complete lack of accountability. Last time I came, a new doctor reviewed my old blood test results and told me there were things in there that were extremely concerning -- things I was NEVER told by the previous doctor. Even she was shocked I wasn't informed. This place is disorganized, negligent, and outright disrespectful to patients' time and health. I've had enough. My family will never come back, and I strongly urge anyone reading this to run -- not walk -- in the opposite direction. Avoid this clinic at all costs. Windermere is a predatory company thats goal is to get as much money from people as possible. With that being said, if you want to get your hands on stimulant medication quickly, Windermere is your place. I was referred here for ADHD testing. The "testing" only consisted of a 15 minute computer test. No questionaire or interview. I was tossed around to 3 different providers at 3 different facilities. Dr. Taylor attempted to prescribe me a high dose of amphetamines right off the bat. Understandably, it took a toll on me. I discontinued the medicine and was referred to an actual behavioral medicine practice that followed procedures to actually take care of the patient and provide a proper diagnosis. That's not the end of my nightmare here at Windermere. Appointments were scheduled without my knowledge. The worst of it was the fact that I did not find out my insurance was in network until MONTHS after my appointments. They did not file a claim with my insurance until a month after each appointment. They failed to check insurance prior to appointments- which although not illegal, is very predatory, ESPECIALLY when their website claims they "accept" my insurance. Billing is snarky. I have tried to contact management with no reply. This company is quick to get you in so they can screw you over. Nobody should come here, and this place needs to be shut down. read more

I was one of the first patients at this clinic (about 18-20 years ago I think?). It used to be good. I had an appointment yesterday. The nurse took me 10 minutes early (good) and then I sat in the examination room for 40 minutes alone. I finally had to leave to get back to work. The receptionist was rude, confused and confusing. I have seen 2 separate providers in the last 2 years. Neither of them were helpful or have any bedside manners. The NP called my name, made no eye contact, walked back to his office with not a single hello.... He didn't care to look at my previous medical records I printed out to show him. My case is complicated and prior to booking this appointment I was assured the providers specialized in PMDD. Well, they do not! Nor Dr. Bhumi or NP Syed are aware of the complications with PMDD. I was dismissed as "it's manageable" and that I should go see a therapist. The front desk staff needs to be trained on the services provided by their providers. The lady who answered my call and texted to schedule me had absolutely no knowledge of which provider could best help me. When I asked her how much it would cost, her response, "nothing, you have insurance." She never looked at my plan to confirm. And then they wonder why people get upset about surprise charges!! I'm writing this review because I've reached a point where I don't know what else to do, and I'm hoping that by making my concerns public, I'll finally get the assistance I need. I have to say that my Family Nurse Practitioner, Katy Hanaford, is absolutely amazing--she's an attentive, compassionate caregiver, and I have never felt more heard and understood by a medical professional in my adult life. This makes it even more frustrating that I'm encountering administrative issues that are preventing me from receiving the complete medical care that I need. On July 16, I saw FNP Hanaford and raised a concern about a spot on my shoulder. She promptly prepared a referral for me to see a dermatologist. I scheduled an appointment with Marietta Dermatology in Canton for September 13. However, on September 8, I received a call from the dermatologist's office saying that there was a paperwork error from Windermere Medical's Canton office that could affect my insurance approval. The office staff told me it was a common mistake and asked if Windermere Medical could call them to resolve the issue. So, I did one better--I drove to Windermere Medical's Canton office to handle this in person. After explaining my situation twice to the woman at the front desk, I left thinking that my concerns would be addressed. I even gave her the direct contact at Marietta Dermatology to expedite the process. Fast forward to September 22, and I get another call from Marietta Dermatology stating that nothing has been done. They're going above and beyond by offering to contact FNP Hanaford directly, which I appreciate but also find embarrassing, as this is not a task that she should be handling. I'm putting all of this out here because I need help and don't know the proper channels to get this administrative issue fixed. I've done everything right on my end and yet I'm stuck in limbo. If you're considering using Windermere Medical's services, be prepared for great medical care but be cautious about the administrative side of things. I was receiving medicine after visiting 4 times which is 2 hour drive then they told me I couldnt receive my meds because of my pharmacy change which the operator told me to do to save money through RX, my doctor said it was because my frequent pharmacy change, but then the manager said he couldn't give me a reason or call my new doctor to send my information. As a healthcare provider myself, I want to emphasize this practice is disorganized and uninformed at a dangerous level. I have been attempting for months to get a medication authorized and I will spare you the details but wrong insurance was submitted multiple times, unaware of lab results for weeks, and not once receiving a call back as promised. This has been nothing short of an absolute drain on my energy and I now have zero confidence in this office. While the staff is courteous, unfortunately they are terribly scattered and continuity of care is non-existent. I hate to complain, but I have NEVER had a good experience with Windermere Medical Clinic. The doctor is ALWAYS late to my appointment. Katy Hanaford was my first doctor. I asked her to not give me a specific medication, because it causes me to feel suicidal. She did not listen to me & prescribed it to me anyways. Every time that I tried to contact her, I was asked to leave a message with the office. I never received a response. This doctor was also always several days late to prescribe my medications. My second doctor was Katherine Fulcro. She was kind, but every time that I would ask her a question, she would say "let me look that up" or "I think so." Stay very far away from this clinic. My mother went here to get pre op medical clearance taken care of. They crafted a fake X-RAY to try and substantiate my mom needing CT scan and several other unrelated diagnostic assessments. We both work in medicine and knew the likelihood of her having this alleged moderate form of restrictive respiratory disease is slim to none. We decided to schedule a second X-RAY to establish a second opinion with a completely different medical group. Of course the new X-ray showed no findings claimed in the X-RAY. The language in the first X-RAY is night and day compared to the second one. Also, all other lab diagnostic had no indication of the disease process that she claimed my mother had, yet she also refused to be given the radiologic imaging of the new X-RAY so we can really compare. This is a company that likely scams elderly patients (the frequent clients as far I can see) by throwing around pretentious medical jargon and running up a bill with diagnostic procedures when there is simply no basis. I'm grateful to work in medicine and be competent enough to decipher a nincompoop from a skilled practitioner. They're extremely dishonest and incompetent and will double down on the lies to substantiate not having to admit poor judgment. Please do not go here or bring a loved one read more

My family and friend visited their facility in North Atlanta. We were their for shots required for international travels. We each paid the fee required at check-in. But, on 1 occasion i was 13 min late due to an accident on the highway. When i check in the front desk said I wouldn't be able to see my Dr. because I was 15 min late. I let her know on every occasion I wait for more than 30 min so I wasn't sure how my 13 min was fair and ethical! Today I had a televisit. scheduled at 10am since my last one was deleted by a staff member and I was never notified. They called to confirm. They have gotten worse each year. Prescriptions don't get called in, hospitals don't get orders they need for tests. Today the practice manager told me that's not her job. She was more concerned with telling me what her job is not, than providing any type of customer service. They are going to drive away all of their business. If I could rate windermere medical clinic zero stars thats exactly what I would give them. I have been a patient here since they opened. When I first started coming here the owner Dr. Bayapurredy was very hands on with her patient she was a good doctor. I guess once she built up her clients that changed. The last appointment I had with her after waiting for an extremely long period of time she came in the room and was very rushed and didn't even allow me to address all of my concerns. That was definitely a red flag for me. My recent experience with them allowed me to see that this place does not care about their patients. They are only after money. I could not get a refill on a prescription without paying for an office visit. Which is definitely a rip off because the prescription was not a control substance. I was led to pay for a zoom call. Only to pay and still not get my prescription refilled. As soon as the call started the doctor said ok what prescription do you need. No hello what medical concerns do you have nothing. Very impersonal. If that wasn't enough, I made several calls to the clinic for them to fix this and was referred to the office manager. Who is a very ignorant ghetto and extremely unprofessional. It takes forever to receive the lab results. I received email lab results are ready to view on portal https://health.healow.com/ on Aug 25th. But I cannot review it as it is not available. Looks like my lab results are controlled by Clinic. Nobody in Clinic knows online system enough to help with reports. I called today on Aug 29th, and i am told I can view my lab reports after doctor's review only. But i received email on Aug 25th visit summary available to view. Now, I am stuck and waiting to see my reports . Medical negligence and not allowing patients to view their medical report can be risk. There is no way for me to wait for doctor or nurse to call me and release my reports. I wish patient had right to view their lab results without the control of clinic. Not only this, I am continuously calling for 7 days to talk to nurse about my prescription but nobody calls back. Doctor is good, but the staff is not at all organized and helpful. Treatment is swift and medicines (when needed) are prescribed. Staff Nurses take care of you as well. We have been coming here for over two years. Either location is fine (Cumming or Canton). We normally make an appointment to go to the Cumming location. The Doctors refer you to Specialists when it becomes necessary. I am stunned by the lower reviews. The quality of care is subpar. I went for a new patient/annual physical. Being a registered nurse for 32 years, when I say "one visit was enough for me not to return, I mean it. I don't want to speak specifics on this one particular provider's character. Why would a practice automatically schedule follow-up appointments without speaking with the patient and expect you to attend. They use telemedicine as a cash cow! Why would you schedule and want to bill my insurance company for a tele-medicine (I was seen for a physical 4-5 months prior) appointment to reorder a medication that I have been taking for years. It isn't like they were monitoring my blood pressure. My medication should have been renewed during my physical (that is a different experience). I recommend the state and CMS (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services) in Washington DC investigate their practices. Also, check out their call center. read more

I was directed to Windermere Clinic by the physician I was working for back in 2021. The sole reason I went there was to get the Moderna vaccination that he set us up to receive. I was covered by insurance at the time. The wait at the first visit was 1.5 hours just to see an MA. I NEVER saw a doctor and I've received invoice after invoice from them for two years now. Each time I call, they state they will look into it and get back with me. Then comes another bill months later. Said invoices come from Northside PatientCo and mind you, they state they are calling Windermere for answers. No one responds. Not ONCE did anyone call me back and now they've sent me to collections. At the very least, I deserve answers or an explanation of charges. What kind of customer service ignores a patient's request and has them sent to collections thus putting a derogatory mark on their credit? read more

My expensive lesson learned: you cannot trust the testing result and diagnosis which are repeatedly wrong causing serious misdiagnosis. I am healthy 35 male, with no illness history. I had my annual checkup on March 10th, first time done at Windermere Medical Group, with blood work done in their own facility. The bloodwork came back showing Potassium as high as 5.9. I went back to have blood work done again to verify the result on March 17th, got the result on March 20th showing the Potassium is even higher to 6.1. (The odd thing is both times my bloodwork was shipped to Birmingham AL for testing). In the afternoon, the doctor called me to go to emergency room immediately or "I may die from home". It was the most emotionally stressed and devastated time I ever experienced. The devastated guy left family to the ER, feeling devastated emotionally after the doctor's comments (my first baby was only 8 weeks old). Bearing the painful emotion going through all exams and another around of bloodwork, which after few hours showed my Potassium is only 4.0 which is completely normal. I was discharged from ER with distress, anger, pain, and astonishment. (The Doctor told me I am not the only one at Windermere Medical that has bloodwork result problem. So, it seems the result error probability is significantly higher than other medical providers.) I complained the incident to Windermere Medical Group, and they told me they would work with Lab Corp to solve the problem, as I received major medical bill from ER hospital with thousands dollar cost. The office manager Patricia told me it is confirmed that the blood cells were contaminated in my both testing. And I should wait for phone call from Lab Corp to address the issue. Weeks later I had to call multiple times to Patricia to follow up as I heard nothing from either party. They never returned to my voice mails. When I am lucky to have Patricia picked my call, she would tell me wait 15 minutes or a few hours for an update. But she never called back as what she said. Almost 6 weeks after the incident, Patricia told me the lab will not call me, but she would not send me the contact's name to reach out either. She said Windermere Medical will not take any responsibility in the misdiagnosis and hang up the phone in a rude way. I am very shocked that they treat people this way. The lab confirmed that I should contact medical provider for this issue. As medical provider, they would blame everything to the lab that they choose to work with and kick a patient out with an upset experience. My neighborhood fellows, I hope you take my lesson and stay away from this clinic. It's has been a disaster for me, by huge amount of emotional distress and financial burden with major medical bills from ER hospital. They care about their money more than about you. I love the dr.s here, but the office is not run efficiently, perhaps there is lack of training or leadership- it's hard to figure on the outside what the heck is going on- are they short staffed? omg! My Back started to hurt on a Sunday, so I called in the morning and left a message on the phone for referrals, as they had previously referred me to a gastroenterologist in Canton and I wanted to go to someone closer in Cumming. I did not hear anything back from them so I called and left another message ...same line around 4:00. Now; it's Tuesday, back is still in a lot of pain so this time I call and finally spoke to one of the office staff, tell them I left 2 messages for a referral and I just need a referral for a nearby gastroenterologist. They tell me they will let someone know. Tick tock , tick tock....the day goes by, i hear nothing. Zippo zero....now it's Wednesday, my back is still in pain...not enough to " hang up and dial 911", so I go in the patient portal for referrals and message them AGAIN, can you please have someone write me a referral to a closer Dr....... Tick tock, tick tock.....I finally call about 2:00. I get a person on the phone whom I tell how many times I've called and left messages and what I need. The person was nice, apologized and said that that person no longer works there ....what person I'm not sure, but that they will let someone know and I should get something. I get an email with a referral ...and guess what? ITS A REFERRAL FOR THE DR IN CANTON.... Hello? Is anybody home???? Obviously no one listened to the 2 voice mail messages and bothered to read my request on the patient portal, so I get in my car and drive to the office.... So it took me 3 days to get a referral that would have taken 1 person less then 10 minutes to do. You can't make this up..... I'm thinking they need to close for a week and have some serious training on efficiency and customer service. read more
