I am filing a complaint regarding my experience at Windsor in Stonebriar Centre, Frisco, TX…read more I visited the store to return an unworn item with tags still attached. The associate refused the return and immediately claimed there was a stain on the item. She did not acknowledge my greeting and was very impolite throughout the interaction. When I asked for clarification and to speak with a manager, she stated she was the manager but refused to provide her name or allow escalation. During the interaction, she walked away in the middle of the conversation while I was still asking for assistance. After waiting about 10 minutes, she returned to the cashier, picked up the phone, and threatened to call security. At that point, I was feeling unwell and the situation became very stressful, so I left and returned another day. When I returned the next day, a different associate carefully inspected the item and processed the return without any issue, confirming the item was in original condition. I am requesting that this experience be reviewed and appropriately addressed with store management, as the interaction was unprofessional and inconsistent with standard customer service.

Horrible customer service here! Would not recommend unless you would like to have rude and racist…read morecustomer service experience. We came here to find a dress for my sister's dance that is coming in a few days. We were able to find a dress, but needed to find shoes to complete her outfit. We asked for some help and the worker told us that she had to put away some of clothes first and then she would helped us. Completely understandable she's doing her job and we still had 10 min left before they closed. We are not going to rush someone that is doing her job. The lady at the cash register told us that we had 5min left before closing. There was nothing we could do cause we are not going to rush someone that is doing her job. A few mins go by and the same lady proceeds to waive her hand telling us "vámonos, vámonos". There was no need her to talk to us like that. We are completely capable of talking in English and the fact that she's basically telling us to hurry up is extremely rude and unprofessional. When we finally got the shoes we went straight to the cash register only to be greeted with attitude. She then proceeded to throw the shoes in the bag and was about to put THE DRESS in the same bag until my sister asked her is she could put it in the correct bag. We were about to walk off but, my sister walked back in asking for a manger only for her to tell us that she was the manger and her name was Amanda. My sister then proceeded to tell her that she needs to respect the customers only for the lady to tell us that " respect is earned"??? We never once interacted with the lady. How are we supposed to earn her respect??? If this is who yall are hiring yall need to do a better job cause this is horrible!

Moved here in July 2022 with my partner who works at Capital One right across the road. It's…read moreoverall a pretty solid place to live. Our lock wasn't accepting our code day 1 and it was fixed within 24 hours by maintenance. PROS: - Location is great, just be prepared for how difficult Preston Rd is as a whole to navigate during busy hours - Lobby and community areas are always well maintained and clean as far as I've seen, especially the gym and mail room - Our apartment has had very few issues that require maintenance, and they've been quick to respond when we've needed them - Communication. Whenever repairs are happening to the building, there is severe weather, etc the office is very good about sending out emails explaining and giving warnings of what may happen (like water turning off potentially to fix a broken pipe) - Parking for residents is very secure. I feel completely safe leaving my car here (coming from a college town that got wheels stolen a lot) - Overall apartment quality is good. No complaints from us on anything they've provided, appliances, etc. CONS: - Parking garage is TIGHT. Within the first month here I scraped the side of my car trying to leave the garage. Gate requires a sharp turn to get to/from the entrance to the garage and those tunnels are very thin. Beware if you have a large car or truck. - Visitor parking can be very limited, even at weird times. There's a decent amount of it, but my partner and I have had to park our own cars down there ahead of time to reserve spaces for guests if we know they are coming. - Trash rooms get very dirty at the best of times. They're always very sticky and smell awful. Usually not an issue if you use the valet trash, but god do the trash rooms need a deep clean here. - There is a small walking path behind the place, but no real walkable food or anything else but a courthouse and a few drs offices (oh, and Capital One lol) We lived here in the end for 2 years. It has its issues as any apartment will, but none of it has been a dealbreaker for us.

I lived at Windsor Preston for the past year, and while my experience moving in and the apartment…read moreitself were fine, my experience with management during renewal was bad enough that I decided to leave. My current base rent for a 1 bd 1 bth is about $1432, plus a $100/month "credit premium" Windsor charged because they determined I had "insufficient rental history." Despite the name, this isn't a refundable deposit or credit toward anything - it's simply an additional $100 every month. This was especially strange to me because I've also been on another apartment lease since 2020 with no missed or late rent payments. My lease ends November 8th and requires 60 days' notice. Windsor didn't send my renewal offer until September 1, with a September 9th deadline to renew or give notice. My new base rent for another 14 month lease was $1713 - nearly a 20% increase. The $100 credit premium would also continue unless I requested a rescreening, bringing the rent to $1813 before other monthly fees. The crazy part is that I was going to renew anyway! I wasn't negotiating the rent or threatening to leave. I simply wanted the rescreening Windsor's own renewal paperwork told me I could request. Beginning September 1st, I repeatedly called, left voicemails and emailed management. I received one voicemail from the property manager asking me to call back and confirm that I wanted the rescreening. I immediately did so--and then spent the rest of my decision period unable to get anyone to respond. I even contacted Windsor's parent company and eventually got maintenance involved, who opened a high-priority ticket asking management to contact me. Still nothing. With my deadline one day away and no resolution, I finally toured other apartments, found one I liked in Frisco, applied, and submitted my notice to vacate. Only after I submitted my notice did the situation suddenly become urgent. An employee helping from another Windsor property called and offered to cancel my notice and process the rescreening immediately. I repeatedly told her I would agree to cancel my notice only after receiving written confirmation that my deadline would be extended without penalty. I never received that confirmation - but my notice to vacate was canceled anyway. I had to resubmit it. I recorded the conversation, so I have a record of the condition I gave before agreeing to any cancellation. The following day, after more calls to a sister property, I finally got the Windsor Preston property manager on the phone. He apologized and explained that management had been understaffed and spread across multiple communities. I told him I understood being busy, but I couldn't justify signing another 14 month lease somewhere that had been essentially unreachable during a time-sensitive renewal. He processed my notice to vacate while we were on the phone. I've since been approved elsewhere. For additional context, a colleague in a 1 bd 1bth at Windsor West Plano told me their recent renewal went from somewhere in the $1700s to somewhere in the $2100s. Obviously that's one other person's experience, but prospective Windsor renters may want to ask what renewal increases have looked like for existing residents. When I originally toured Windsor Preston, I asked whether they offered move-in specials. The property manager laughed and told me they didn't need to because the community stayed around 98% occupied. That comment hits differently now. My apartment itself was fine. My move-in experience was fine. Management responsiveness once I was an existing resident is why I'm leaving. I was prepared to accept a nearly 20% rent increase, potentially continue paying the extra $100/month, and sign another 14-month lease. I wasn't trying to negotiate. I was literally trying to give them more money and stay. Full review posted on r/Plano.

I've lived here for over a year now and Windsor Lakeyard is truly such an amazing place to live I…read morealmost want to gatekeep it hahaha. The rent for the size/value/amenities is incomparable to anywhere else. We have a huge dog park, a gorgeous pool, gym, parcel pending for deliveries, gated community and really well maintained landscaping. There are yards on the first floor apartments and the maintenance / leasing team is awesome! Folks complaining about the phone don't realize that they might be busy/touring/etc and don't have 10+ people working in the office, so just walk to the leasing office or send them an email if you have a pressing issue. Same goes for towing. Simply follow the rules and sign up your guests and they won't get towed! If they didn't have that rule, we wouldn't have so much parking available ;) Lorelei is AMAZING. Same goes for Gina as well as the maintenance team. Everyone is SO helpful, friendly and they take care of concerns ASAP. Truly love this place. Take the bad reviews with a grain of salt, those are disgruntled people who probably didn't follow community rules lol. We are also located close to just about everything and our apartments are off of a quiet road surrounded by the lake and suburbs. Couldn't have found a better place to call home! :)

The Windsor is a beautiful property, but unfortunately, my time living here was unbearable. I lived…read moreat this community for two years, always paid rent on time, and never had any noise disturbances. I've been a responsible resident, yet I would never live at another Windsor property again, nor would I recommend one to anyone. Property Team: It is nearly impossible to get in contact with the office team. Phone calls go unanswered, so you're better off showing up in person which is very inconvenient. The leasing agent, Kayla, is rude and unhelpful, often deferring even small issues to the property manager. The property manager, Claudia, is also extremely dismissive and unprofessional. Residents should never feel like they're being a burden when asking for help, especially considering how much we pay to live here. Maintenance: The maintenance team is the only bright spot, particularly Keon, who was always friendly and explained issues thoroughly. However, my A/C broke multiple times, and while Keon fixed it quickly, the recurring problems showed a bigger issue. I strongly believe Windsor should inspect all third-floor A/C units, as mine would work for a few months before failing again especially frustrating during the summer. Fees & Parking: The property is loaded with unnecessary charges. You pay $5 a month for terrible parking, and if you're not home by 4 p.m., expect to park far away from your building. There's also a $25 "lifestyle fee" that covers amenities like the gym and dog parkeven if you don't own a dog. Some gym equipment was broken at times, which made the fee feel like a waste. Apartment Condition: The apartments look modern, but mine had several issues from the start. Some appliances were scratched or damaged, the shower rod was rusty (and never replaced despite my request), and the bathroom counters were worn. Air filters were dusty at move-in, and the air quality wasn't great. My A/C never cooled properly and needed constant inspections. Trash & Cleanliness: The valet trash service was terrible. At $40 a month, trash was often left behind, and sometimes not picked up at all. Meanwhile, residents risked being fined for trash violations. The stairways were consistently dirty because of this. Mail & Security: The mailbox area was concerningpackages were often left out, and I frequently saw open mailboxes. Given the sensitivity of mail, this was a huge red flag. Guest Parking & Rules: Visitors must register to park, but spots are very limited. Guests can only stay for seven days, after which they cannot re-registerextremely inconvenient during holidays or family visits. The towing company is also aggressive, so guests must be careful or risk being towed. Overall Experience: My experience living at Windsor was awful. Between poor management, hidden fees, unkept common areas, and constant unit problems, it's impossible to truly enjoy living here. The only positive was the maintenance staff, but even they couldn't make up for everything else. I will never rent from Windsor again and strongly advise others to avoid their properties.

I purchased everything and left 3 crop tops that did not belong on hangers. I found them on the side tables next to mannequins. So I had 10 pieces of items in my hands and Zara asks me " are you getting those shirts?" I said " no just what I got in my hands. " she says " okay good put those on hangers then" I told her, "my hands are full and I cant" and she says " next time don't try anything on" I told her " i dont work here" she then repeats herself yelling at me in front of customers. Ashley comes from some corner and yells out obnoxiously to me " DO YOU NEED SOME HELP". I walked off and came to pay with a very professional African American girl with mini pigtails. She politely gave me info for the store manager and proceeded to check me out. Ashley wasn't done and decides to come all riled up and tells me " You are so rude and nasty just so you know" I again told her, I do NOT work here sis. She said " but Still you are so rude" If only those little girls had realized the 3 items left behind were crop tops with no hangers, they'd save their hormones for home and NOT WORK. Your job is to do retail. Not make customers do your job for you. Also one of my items was missing a tag and the lady said " I need to go grab one for you" I said " no worries I'll grab one for you". So as I left to go get one, Ashley reaches over into her ear and says something and laughs. My boyfriend doesn't know English that well but he knows she said something about me. And the girl checking me out did not respond to her childish remark. So thank you young lady for keeping it professional. So glad they have you on their team. They need to learn a few things or go work at Chuck E Cheese. I have could have left those 3 items in the dressing rooms but instead I brought it up. Unlike everyone else leaving their dressing rooms completely full with more 7 items. They just thought I was an easy target to take out their stress on. Think again little girls.
