We scheduled an appointment almost 2 weeks ago for today and my wife waited around the entire afternoon for representative to show up to our house. When my wife called the company and inquired where the sales representative was; they told her they needed to cancel the appointment and that they would give her a 10% discount. I had nine windows to replace on my home. I decided to go with Window Design Group because they had fair prices and appeared to offer good, quality windows. We are extremely happy with the finished product. The windows turned out beautifully. Unfortunately there was an issue with the install. When we got back home, I noticed my grand piano (which is near the window) was covered in a light white dust and there were several scratches on the surface that had not been there before. I was very upset about this. I had assumed they would have covered it with a tarp. Had i known they wouldn't, I would have absolutely done it myself. Also, when my husband was doing some yard work he found a number of nails outside around the vicinity of our newly installed windows. It appeared the workers didn't do a very good job cleaning up. This could have been a dangerous situation as we have two young children at home. I emailed the company about these issues simply to point them out. It was not my intent to receive any kind of reimbursement. I simply didn't want this happening to other customers. But Window Design Group was most helpful and accommodating. They apologized and took responsibility for the actions of their workers.. even offering me $300 in refund! This business has been awful to deal with. A project that started in November has still not been completed. After multiple missed appointments and poor communication to repair and complete a project that I fully payed for, I have had to go to outside help to try and recoup the money paid to have someone else come and complete the job they were unable to. This business is extremely unorganized, very poor follow up and the time frame to get anything completed is horrific. Do your research before hiring a company and please hire someone else, as this company will take your money, not complete the work and cause unneeded work on your part to try and hold them accountable. Update after I was assured this would get resolved and moving forward: I have now filed a claim with the BBB and the state licensing board in hopes of this getting resolved as it is now going on 7 months and nothing has changed/been fixed since the initial install at the beginning of November. Stucco still not repaired, damaged door and screen and no hope in site of it ever getting fixed. Appts are missed, phone calls not returned, emails not responded to. read more

I am writing this yelp review about this horrible company of thieves and liars - Window Design Group. I don't want anyone to have to go through the hell this company has put me through over the last 8 months. I am not only reporting them to the Contractors licensing board, but I am reporting them to the State Attorney General's Office. This company needs to be out of business!!! They do horrible work - use very cheap product and charge your credit card in advance of the work being completed or even started. I paid $31,300.00 for shades and I called one of the manufactures and the product was $33.00 per door, I was charged $31,300.00. I couldn't open any of my doors because the shade valances were too large, if they were a professional company - they should have known that this product would not work with my doors. In order to get them to replace the product - I had to argue threaten and wait months and they finally replaced the product after 5 months of threats and arguing with the cheapest paper-thin product with chords that hang on the floor three ft., extremely dangerous for children. The whole experience has been a total nightmare. I want to warn anyone who is looking for a window shade company to NOT get involved with this horrendous company. They are the WORST!!! They take no responsibility for their errors and do not try to rectify and please the customer. They are THIEVES!!! read more

I had 8 double pane windows and one sliding glass door replaced in my home on August 10, 2019. Our initial sales meeting was on June 28th with Chris (who was wonderful and didn't pressure us at all), he got us a detailed contract on Monday, July 1st, the measurement meeting was was scheduled for and completed on July 8th, and our windows were made and installed on August 10th. The price was 2k below other quotes we got. Two guys came to install who were super friendly and fast. They got everything done and cleaned up in four hours. Everything looks amazing, they cleaned up everything they brought it, and I am so happy with the service. They had us check all of the windows before we left and one was sort of sticking to lock and he fixed it right then and there before I signed the paperwork. I have been able to reach customer service and they reply to messages very quickly. I felt like I was in good hands at all times and they answered all of my questions. I'm in a wheelchair. Hired them autumn 2020 to install several new doors in my new home. President came out himself to give a quote. Saw that I was in a wheelchair and said doors will be "one to one" replacement. Took them several weeks after the initial start time to begin project. When they finally installed doors were not "one to one" replacement. New doors came with 2" high frames that I needed to pop a wheelie over every time to cross. That means I can't carry anything at the time. Took them several weeks to come back and install makeshift plywood ramps. They still have the home depot stamps on the plywood. Unsightly. Most recently, one of our screen doors needed replacement. Scheduled a replacement that was reschedule by them. When they finally came, it was 4 hours earlier than what we scheduled. No one was available to let them in the house. We have paid thousands of dollars and the screen doors do not stay on. Cheap materials used. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. My elderly parents chose to replace their old shades and unfortunately, picked the wrong company. They are distraught at the worst Sales and Customer Service experience and I believe they have been taken advantage of because they are easy sales targets. Once the contract was signed, the salesperson never picked up their phone calls or replied to any of their texts. I stepped in, trying to help them and contacted Customer Service where it was the same, they never answer their phone or respond to any of my repeated emails. They did happen to have the shades installed but only after many months of delay and sparse automated emails with install dates with huge time ranges. And after all of the delays, my poor parents are not happy with the quality of the shades. My next step is to file a BBB complaint, I will update shortly. read more

I have to say it was a painful experience dealing with this company. And It is not over yet. I regret I bought my 8X19 ft BY- fold door through Justin, the son of owner. Justin is an excellent sales person, but only for sales order, not after my deposit was paid. He promised I will get my by-fold doors coming about 8 weeks or sooner. That is the main reason I gave him my order even his price a little higher than another company which the lead time is 10 weeks. Justin ignored my calls and text messages which made me very upset. I called the company, Now I finally got my doors delivery dates which is 12 weeks after placing my order. BUT I was told no I can't get my installation date, Because the installation team is a third party, and it will take another 1-2 weeks or even longer... This is NOT what I was told by Justin when placing my order! I told Justin by phone texts that I have certified installers who can install for me right after I received my doors. But He hasn't reply me yet. I called the company again today, no one seems can make a decision since this is a family business. Din't happen again was promised for some compensation for delays but at end it was declined by supervisor Tanya. Hence bad review. They are low cost might be i dint compare them with any others. I loved every second working with the project manager (Vincent). He was very attentive and diligent. I had my windows put in and I am really happy with all the work they did. They get the job done fast and they keep you in the loop with everything they do, making sure its the best thing to do for your home!!!! They demand payment upfront before they will schedule to come fix a broken shade - and won't even give an appointment for weeks. They brought the wrong windows that I ordered and then took weeks to get the right ones. They would leave half way through the day and not return the next day. They ordered the wrong door and hardware several times. Their customer service IS THE WORST I'VE EVER SEEN. THEY ARE THE WORST COMPANY TO DEAL WITH. Just had my shutters installed, and they look amazing. The installer was super professional, courteous and clean. Took about five weeks from the day I put in my order to the day I got called to set up installation. Brandon came out, showed me samples, made suggestions about panel configuration and that was it. I did have some of their competitors come out as well, but I just liked the quality of the product better with WDG, and the overall vibe as well. Price was reasonable. They weren't the lowest in terms of cost, but I learned a long time ago that you get what you pay for. Now the work on my house is done (for now). After 8 months of placing order , the work is not completed yet , their workers came and shove in the windows with wrong measurement by breaking the our stucco around the wall without informing us and without our consent and left the house in dangerous condition and its being several months they haven't come to fix it in spite of my several calls & emails. Tanya is nightmare to work with , she is liar & a thief . They take no responsibility for their errors and do not try to rectify . Left several messages for Vincent but he did not return my call either. I only wanted to know when they will finish my work. In the process , I have to take several days off from from work because somebody have to be home to open gate & door for workers but they did not show, came late or came in and left the work saying that they already know windows wont fit because they are made inside out. Workers told us they have to hear customer complains all the time but what can they do, nobody in the company cares or check if the product is made right or not and they are also fed up too. Dear Cyndi I'm sure you are aware of our order ADRESS !! My understanding is that you are the owner of Window Design Group. This has been the worse experience we had with any company. The lack of professionalism and customer services is out of this world. You as an owner should be concerned on how YOUR customers are being taking care of. Started with your sales rep Kevin, who's lack of communication and poor handle of our order was incredibly disappointing. Then it goes to his manager who I called and left messages and never received a call back. I called your office and Janet (who is very unprofessional and rude) let me know that he will be calling me back and never did. Once we pass from your sells rep Kevin, it goes on the measurements. We had to take time off from work to be able to be at our home for your team to take measurements. From that visit we found out several errors were made when our original order was made. We attempted to contact Kevin several times, but no response and no answer from him. From that error we were supposed to be credited $600 for the mistake. Then again, we were told that you will have to come back and re-measure. This was on a Saturday; the appointment was schedule by 11 am. We waited, we contact the person that needed to come back and measure and said he will be at our home in 20 minutes. It was 2 pm and they guy tells my wife that he didn't need to come again since they had measure already. No call from him and we were waiting the whole day for him to let us know that he didn't need to come by. Now comes the installation, then we receive the wrong shades for our patio doors, the measurement for the master bedroom was wrong so it could not be installed, the bathroom shutter was damage, and the measurement for the shutter for the other screen door was wrong. On top of all these issues. Your staff at your office have been unprofessional, rude and they really lack customer service. Tania had promised two credits of $600, one for the inconvenience from Kevin and $600 for the inconvenience for the wrong items. Now they want to give us a $500 credit to keep the shades that we have. Cyndi. This has been a very unpleasant experience. We just purchased our first home and were very excited to make it beautiful. We saw your flyer and were excited to use your service and products. This experience with your company has taking away some of that excitement. These are not cheap products, and we are paying for it.
