We scheduled the routine consult w/ Kevin w/ the promise that our windows blinds would be ready and installed by Christmas., and we gave them an over seven hundred dollar deposit on 12/5 Fast forward to today, we are just NOW getting our blinds delivered and installed. WDG blamed the delay on us not being home for the re~ measure, which we certainly were. THEIR GUY NEVER SHOWED UP.!! To add insult to injury, every time we called or corresponded their Customer Service people were rude, and Management lied about calling back, and seem bothered. We even had to get our attorney involved to get a response from them. Never did we ever get a call to apologize, offer a discount or seem to care that we weren't able to have the Christmas we PAID, and prepared for. We were even able to get another company, Budget Blinds San Dimas (Mike) to come in AFTER these YAHOO!s, measure the other half of our house , and install before Christmas perfectly. I am glad I took my neighbor advice I had 12 windows replaced on my 1980's era house and the project was done in a day. Kevin and his team were very courteous and worked quickly , carefully to get everything installed. I was not expecting for everything to be done in one day so when they finished I was surprised. I used this company for Beautiful Plantation Shutters for the front of the house, in 2016 and everything went smoothly and looks great. Ahead to 2017 I ordered in Feb 2017 The same shutters for the master Bedroom, they came 10 weeks later and were damaged, so I reordered again, 10 weeks later they deliver a frame, didn't need the frame, order again 10-12 weeks later they deliver shutters the wrong color and damaged. So mind you I'm the one that has to call customer service to check on the status of these shutters. To this day I still have damaged and the wrong color shutter to match the frame. Almost 2 years. I give up . Will not use again or recommend. Customer service I give 1 point read more

Their Regional "Sales Manager" Tyler came to give us a quote. It was quite a waste of time and honestly one of the oddest and most unprofessional visits from a vendor that we've experienced. He didn't show us any options for window treatments or samples, didn't take measurements and didn't send us a quote. Obviously was not interested in really selling us anything.  I'm not sure why he wasted our time. SMH. We had So Cal Shades & Shutters come out a week later and they came with samples in hand, told us all of the options they offered and gave us a quote on site. The actual installation was outstanding. They took out my old windows installed the new and even cleaned up. Can't say enough about how amazing they did, and the windows look EXCELLENT. Jenna did an outstanding job of ordering the windows and helping us choose designs. Even was here when they were being installed and came back the last day to inspect them and found a crack on one of the windows. I never write bad reviews and I hate to write this one, but this company Windows Design Group is deserving of it and I write this so others will know how they are and make their decision on whether to use them or not. My experience was not a good one. The salesman Brandon was nice and we ended selecting them for putting shutters in three of our windows. They said it would take about 4 weeks before they could make and install them, after about 6 weeks we called and were informed that they were waiting for parts from China and it would be another couple of weeks. Well finally the Made in America shutter parts from China arrived and our shutters were installed after about 10 weeks. The installers were professional and did a fine job on the installation, but what they installed was pitiful. I saw the shutters after they left and said to my wife what is this, they put solid wood in the top and bottom of two of the windows which caused me to lose about a third of my window view when opened not to mention it looks terrible. I called to complain by first calling the salesman Brandon who never returned my call, then I called the office and they opened a repair case and sent Tony out a week or so later, Tony measured them and took pictures etc. He was nice and agreed they were a little different than they should be. He said he'll report this information back to the office. After a couple weeks of not hearing anything back I called and was told they will call me back. A week later they called and said they were going to replace the two widows in question, yes replace them. I said to myself well they take care of their customers and want them to be satisfied, boy was I wrong. Two weeks passed and no calls, so I called them and they acted like they knew nothing about this and denied saying they would replace the shutters, they are dishonest and will lie to you if it favors them. Do not trust this company. They only care about the money and customer satisfaction is a very low priority to them. There are plenty of companies who make shutters, please don't use this one. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Their customer service has been horrible. I first reached out to WDG in December to get a quote for replacing my front door, two bay windows and the blinds. Just getting the correct quote in a timely manner was a challenge. I should have just walked away at that time. Move forward with the order, installation for the door is scheduled and I'm told it will take a couple of hours. When the installers showed up they tell me that the installation is a 4-5 hour job plus, the person who did the production measurement made it very tight and they are not sure if they'll need to shim down the frame to even fit the door in so we had to reschedule which took about another 2 weeks. During that time I ask a question about my bay windows and if they are going to look the the third one on that side of the house (what I originally wanted) and I hear back from the rep that he didn't quote it that way even though I specifaclly told him that the two new windows needed to match the other window. The reps comes back and tells me that it will be an additional $4,500 because of the required man power required to do the installation (they said it was going to be a 10 day install). Didn't have much of a choice since the windows had already been ordered. Call in April for a follow up and finally able to schedule installation for mid May. Crew shows up and complete their work in 4 days. Wonder why I needed to pay an additional $4,500 for the install? Four days is not 10. I ask about the blinds and I'm told they need to schedule someone to come out and take measurements. When they show up I ask to confirm that I'm getting block out blinds and they tell me that is not what is on the order but they let the company know to change it. Follow up at the begning of June and I'm told that someone will call me back because there were some notes from the MFG that were cut off. No one called. Follow up again today and nothing has been done. In fact, I get told that they see the notes from the production measurements and that it seems like I want to change from the original order. I explain that I'm not changing anything from what I originally wanted. I'm trying for the third time to confirm if what you have on the order form is what I actaully wanted. They seemed surprised that the sales repa hadn't spoken to me. I had a hard enough time getting ahold of the sales rep for my original quote let alone him calling me six months later. By far one of my worst customer experinces ever. read more

Fantastic! Wonderful! Will use again. I came across this company when I was looking for a company to install shuttering in my home. I was impressed that they used American made shutters but I was cautious because of some of the negative reviews I had read. Scheduled an appointment and Justin arrived, measured all the windows where the shutters would be going and gave us a quote. Now to be fair, the quote was above two of the other companies, however, so was the quality. As a result, made the decision to go with Windows Design Group - BEST. DECISION. EVER. There was a delay in getting the shutters... but hello? Where isn't there a delay getting something these days? But every step of the way, someone kept me informed about what was going on. I was sent an email every two weeks with an estimated arrival date and who to contact if I wanted more information. When the shutters did arrive, the installation was set but was delayed once because of a possible tangential exposure to COVID by the person who was supposed to be doing the installation - I was very happy to reschedule and even happier than that Windows Design Group just didn't show up and not tell me there was a possible exposure - anyway, when the new person showed up, they did the installation - all 7 windows - four being oversized - in just under two hours. And the shutters are beautiful! I have no problems with this company and will continue to recommend them, and if I need to use them in the future, I will do so without hesitation! I am building a brand new ground up construction of a single family residence and I was very clear on my project before setting up my appointment.I called in to set up an appointment with their sales and design team , after confirming my appointment time and place a day in advance. Chris, my sales rep never showed up the following day. I called the office only to find out they cancelled my appointment , because they do not handle windows and doors for new construction. Could have told me this way in advance ! This has wasted my whole morning , and time is the most valuable asset that no one can replace.
