The project manager took the time to educate us on different door types and professionally dealt with our questions and additional quotes As we finalized our decision for three doors plus a screen door. The installers really know what they're doing, and they're great people. The finish work on our doors, the sills, plates, molding, and trim is stellar. You get what you pay for, and we felt that Window Design Group gave us some outstanding doors at a fair price. Do not hesitate to consider them for you're home's door or window replacement needs. I was amazed that they finished the job on time! I called Wednesday afternoon, thinking they are already closed.. luckily for me someone answered. They were very nice and professional on the phone, they asked all the questions and then they called me back first thing in the morning to close the job. They have preformed a windows installation on top of the shutters that they replaced for me - in both living room and the up stairs rooms I just remodeled. I placed my order for shutters with Window Design group on January 27, 2015. They finally finished the job yesterday. Yesterday was August 22, 2015. The result is beautiful - however, they failed me as a customer and lied to me the entire way through the manufacturing and installation process. I would be happy to give anybody who would like to know more details but I don't think it matters. If you are willing to wait SEVEN months for your results, please use WDG. If you would like your job completed in a reasonable timeframe, seek service elsewhere. These people are amateurs and even worse - gave me a really nasty threat about signing a contract when I dared to complain at the 5 month mark. We ordered 10 windows in January, and the project was finished in May. THe biggest problem is communication between the different departments within window design group. The windows were delayed 2 weeks. Then, on the day of delayed install, 1 window was broken, and 2 were the wrong size. The lead installer promised that 100% the 3 new windows would be here in 2 weeks. After 2 weeks I called and the office FORGOT to order them. Commence a huge delay. Meanwhile I want the other 7 windows finished inside! Twice the crew scheduled to come finish drywall, and did not show. They were confused. They were busy. etc. I had holes in my drywall and no drapes for 8 weeks while I waited for them to finish the project. Worst of all, we needed these windows finished so we could restucco our house. We couldn't wait an extra TWO MONTHS, so we had to stucco. WIndow Design Group finished the project (finally) but the 3 late windows broke and cracked the new stucco during install. WDG wanted to patch it. No thanks. I'll have my stucco guy finish your work. Also, our salesman (Stephan) promised that the drywall around the new windows would be paint ready. But we had to sand and sand and sand. Our house was covered in drywall dust. The windows are beautiful and well made. So 1 star. But please beware. Our experience was horrible. read more

Such a bad experience. Do yourself a favor -- and don't buy from here. If your order comes in as planned -- you won't have an issue, but buyer beware if there are any unforeseen things that happen -- like the shutters come and they don't fit, or they have tape residue (both of which happened to me). You will have the worst time trying to get anything from them and they will be hard pressed to give you a discount of any kind even if they are jerryrigging your shutters to the wall. Oy. read more

This is a horrible company : I purchased three shutters from this company as a birthday gift for my sister, I scheduled the installation for April 30th, 2018, ( Her Birthday), on April 30th, the installer came to the residence to install the shutters and discovered they did not fit, they were made incorrectly, I requested a refund of the total order at this time and requested to cancel the order, I was told I could not cancel the order , I was also told the shutters would be repaired ASAP and I would get a priority install. On 6/12/2018 I e-mailed Tanya Bramson to inquire as to the status update of my shutters, I had not heard anything since 4/30/18, she forwarded my e-mail to Tatiana Davies. On June 13, 2018, I e-mailed Tatiana and inquired about an update on my shutters, she advised they were being checked into their Ware house that night and I should receive a call within 24-48 business hours to schedule the installation. I did not receive any call within this time frame and I kept e-mailing Tatiana for updates, finally weeks later, I received a call and scheduled the installation for July 7th. On July 7th, the installer arrived and informed me he only had two shutters that the third one was missing, that was the only information he provided to me, he could not tell me why the third shutter was missing. The horror continues: I was contacted by Tatiana and once again promised a fast replacement and priority install of the third shutter, I also requested to Tanya Bramson a compensation for all this mess in the form of a discount on the amount I had paid for the shutters , she stated we would talk when the third shutter was installed. On 7/11/18, I received this e-mail from Tatiana: I wanted to let you know the order will be arriving in by the end of next week, once it is checked in you will be receiving a call within 24-48 business hours to get scheduled. I did not hear anything as far as scheduling until 8/8/18, when I spoke to Tatiana and she agreed to send me a refund check for $300, ( the compensation I requested for all the delays with completing this order), during all this drama I had filed a complaint with BBB, Tatiana asked that I cancel the complaint, I told her I did not trust dealing with the company, I would cancel after I received the third shutter and the $300 she offered as compensation, I asked her to send me an e-mail confirming this phone conversation, I had to call back and requested that she send the e-mail because she did not send it, finally this is what she sent: Tanya Bramson (Window Design Group) Aug 8, 11:59 AM PDT HI Diana, Per our phone conversation we will be sending you $300.00 once the installation is completed and the BBB complaint is closed. This was my response: I did not agree to this I agreed to cancel the complaint once I receive everything you promised At this point, I advised her to cancel the third shutter and I no longer wanted to deal with her company , that she could keep the shutter and I stopped any further communication with them. To top it off, Window Design had not responded to the BBB complaint, after I ceased all conversation with them they responded to the complaint saying: MESSAGE FROM BUSINESS: We have the warrantied product completed, the customer has canceled their appointment with us two times and ceased all communication. We've tried reaching out via phone, email and through an online ticket platform. We want to fix the warrantied product ASAP and have actively reaching out to the consumer. First of all, I only cancelled once and that was after they tried to get me to cancel my BBB complaint, they never tried to call me, that is a lie. Save yourself the headache I endured and stay away from this company, they are not reliable and lie, do not stand behind their word, never followed up, I had to stay on top of them for updates, horrible horrible. Also I am being threatened because of my BBB complaint, I was given a threatening 24 hour text message notice to cancel my complaint, which I have no intention of doing, if I could stop someone from experiencing the horror I experienced, I would like to do that, read the several other reviews posted here, you will see they experienced similar if not worst experiences with this company. read more

This really needs a a half star or less, today is 11/18/2014, haven't heard a word and NO ONE has called.... Last call to WDG 11/14/2014 - the shutters were handed off to the installer and he makes his own appointments. I was given the installers name and numbers. I call leave a message.... 11/18/2014 no return call as of today at 11:00AM, I call again and get voice message, we're now 4 months past when this contract started... can this get any worse?...................... OH YES IT CAN!....the installer just called me back and THEY HAVEN'T BEEN DELIVERED YET!!!!! The installer just spoke to Sara Jane and was informed they will be sending them to the installer!...THIS IS UNBELIEVEABLE....DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!! Now it's another week before install and that's if it's correct when the installer gets it and I'm betting it's not. I'm so mad this place SUCKS! Some of the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. Ordered windows and shutters in November 2017 and was told 3-4 weeks for the windows, once those were installed it would be another 6-8 weeks for the shutters. Windows were installed as promised. 8 weeks went by and no word on my shutters. 6 MONTHS later, the shutters finally showed up with no explanation of why there had been such a delay. When the shutters finally arrived, 3 of the 18 sets were built incorrectly from what was ordered. 11 of the remaining 15 had workmanship flaws and were grossly unacceptable. 3 months went by before the improperly built shutters were then installed with zero answers as to how the unacceptable shutters were going to be corrected. In the mean time I received numerous threats of placing a lien on my property if I didn't pay, even though the job had yet to be completed. I repeatedly explained that I had zero problem paying for the job, but refused to do so until it had been completed. In October, (almost a year after the order was made) the defective shutters were finally replaced. However, with ZERO communication as to why, only 9 of the 11 defective panels were replaced. One of the replacement panels was so bad, had anyone at the factory actually looked at it before shipping it out they never would have let it leave the warehouse. I pointed out the panel to the installer who's response was "wow, that's bad." I expressed my dissatisfaction with the project time and was told "You're not even close to the record... it's at 4 years and still going." Two days later another voicemail followed by an email threatening a lien on my property if I don't pay. Now also telling me that I'm "being too picky". EXCUSE Me?!?! I'm too picky? You're own installer (who last I checked works for YOUR company and does this every day) totally agreed that the product was unacceptable! Save yourself the headache and hire ANYONE else for your windows or window coverings. read more

After seeing how happy my friends were with their experience with Window Design Group I had them come to my fathers home to measure his windows. The materials used were high quality. The turn around was about a couple of weeks and the installation was quick and clean. Now my fathers house feels and looks great! Couldn't be happier. read more

We contracted for updated windows for the rest of our home for an installation in May of this year (2018) from Window Design Group. They had replaced our sliders in 2015 and did a quick, clean and complete job. When they finally came out to do what was promised as a one-day job, they didn't have the entire order. Weeks later, they came to install more windows but still didn't have all the windows. The next time they came to install a new frame for one they had bent, the windows didn't fit in the new frame, so they put the old frame back and said they would order new windows for the new frame. Most of the new windows were not completed because they never brought the correct mouldings. We've been told by 4 different people that they were now "handling us to the completion of our order," and here we are, 6 months later and still awaiting the correct mouldings and windows for the replaced frame. The installers inform their supervisors of what is needed to complete the job and we've sent pictures that were requested of us. But it's always the manufacturers fault! We are in contact with the customer service person practically on a daily basis! No way to run a business. We should be at the top of their to-do list and feel like they just don't care about us. We are looking into other recourse at this point. I would never recommend this company. read more

I'll start first by saying the shutters I ordered are beautiful...but the process was horrible! I ordered the shutters in May 2018, the salesman was very nice, he measured all the windows and patio door. They tell you it takes about 6-8 weeks before installation. That was fine, so installation took place, I believe it was the last week of June 2018. That was great...except for one window (shutter). They measured the window wrong... mistakes happen once, twice, three times!! They finally measured it correctly and it was installed January 2019!! It took seven months to have one shutter measured correctly and installed. Totally ridiculous. Never has anyone from management called to apologize or for my inconvenience offer a discount on that one shutter, or give me a gift card, nothing at all. The shutters are very expensive, I was inconvenienced multiple times, I think that's bad business. I would never recommend this company to anyone only because they didn't seem to care at all about the inconvenience they caused me. read more

I paid the full amount in June 2018, The last shutter was just put in... todays date Jan 9 2019. After they had measured the window 4 times incorrectly had to contact contract licensing to get job completed... Read the contract very carefully if you miss a scheduled appointment they want to charge you but they can't get a simple square measurement right. I now have a gap in the last window but I will make due. I have to get shutters for the upstairs and that company will repair the gap for me. read more

This company is amazing. We started out just looking for a French door to replace a sticky, old sliding glass door. Their people not only showed us just what we wanted in the way of doors, they also presented plantation shutters and window blinds as well. After looking at what they offered and the existing tired old wooden blinds, going ahead was an easy decision. Their pricing was fair and when they said they would do something, it got done. The installers were friendly and respectful of our property, cleaning up and removing all packing material before leaving. My company coordinated a large new home full of shutters ($10,000) through Window Design Group. The initial sales experience with Stephen S was pleasant and professional. But after that, things went downhill. The biggest complaint is the amount of time that it took to get the product installed. The order was placed and paid for at the beginning of JANUARY, and the job was not completed until early JULY.... easily 3x longer than quoted. My sales rep wasn't responsive, and the office's claims to be expediting the long overdue order seemed to me to be complete BS. The finished product (finally) is acceptable, hence the 2 stars instead of 1. I'm sure these folks mean well, but I just won't be using them for any other properties. Tip to anyone signing a contract with WDG: Put a clause in that you get a specific discount if the job takes longer than quoted. Offering a rent credit might have mitigated some of the frustration of my tenants, who didn't realize they were going to have to deal with this for 6 months! read more
