We ordered speciality windows so it took about 8 weeks before they were produced and installed. The installation itself was seamless. The three men who did the job were kind professionals who cleaned up after themselves. They left each and every room as they found it, just with nice windows. It's been about two weeks since installation and the windows themselves are great. Let me tell you how great of a company this is. I had 17 windows installed back in 2013. In the last 8 years I've had 2 windows that had defects that were replaced under warranty. The screens have lasted. I recently had a new (larger) deck installed. I looked up one day at two windows on my 2nd level of my house that I've never been able to "see" from my old deck because it wasn't long enough to get to that side of the house. I noticed that the aluminum flashing was never installed so I called up Window King and spoke to Lisa and explained that it's been quite some time and I'm just noticing now. Lisa talked to Nick and it was take care of. I really can not say enough good things about this company. They take care of their clients. I stopped at the showroom on Morris Park Avenue and after waiting was finally greeted by someone. When I said I was interested in having the windows replaced in my home I was asked if I was doing the work or would they be doing it? When I said I needed you guys to do the work I was told it would be 3 months to get someone out to take measurements. Really? I'm surprised by some of the negative reviews. Sales presentation was as expected (I went through 4 of them). A little disorganized in office as there was a miscommunication in setting up appointment # 1, but other than that things ran very well. I did an exhaustive on line search and bought in 5 Vendors for pricing & recommendations for our 40 year old Colonial. We went with Okna 5000 Series- 22 Windows total. I have no complaints as to the installation and it was the most competitive price what has been reviewd as a very good product. Install completed in 1.5 Days. Guys were extremely professional and pleasant, did a nice job and in some cases went a little above and beyond. No mess left behind. Will leave another review over winter but windows look great, and appear to be very tight. We had major draft and leakage issues prior and suspect those have been solved. We had 7 windows done by window king about 2 weeks and they did an amazing job. I had 2 guys come and they worked so quick and efficiently. I was very im pressed that when they completed a window they made sure everything was vacuumed up and fully clean before moving on to the next one. My wife and I had Andersen Renewal windows installed and the crew were perfectly good and the windows are...fine. But they were expensive - $17,000 for 4 windows and a big sliding door. We used Window Kings to install 15 windows. The team of two were fantastic, finishing the job in under a day and the cost was $7,000 less than Andersen. We're going to use them again and I couldn't recommend them highly enough. Fast, professional and clean. Maybe not kings, but definitely princes. read more

I am giving this review even though it's been a few years since I used Window King. Starting with the salesman, Ron who came to measure the windows, to reviewing pricing, and explaining how work would be done. He never tried to up-sell me or sell me things I didn't need. The installers were very neat and dust was at a minimum. My only issue is that they scraped some paint off window sills when they removed the old windows and said it was in the contract that this could happen so I felt I had no recourse. Overall, the experience was very good and the windows are sealed tight and I've had no drafts in the several years since they were installed. I would definitely use them again. read more

Recently I needed to get some new windows installed at my home in the Bronx, so I stop by WindowKing on Morris Park Avenue. For years I have passed the store front so I knew they were there for a long long time probably over 25 years so I set up to meet with the the salesman Sam, who came by and explained everything about Windows to me. I already put new windows in my house in Florida and did a lot of research on it so everything what Sam had said I sort of knew already, but it was nice to hear him reinforce it. I also stopped by the office and met the owner Nick, and his wife. It's nice to see a well run small Family business. You're not just a number to these people you're a valued customer, and it's personal with them. Even the girl that works in the office Lisa, made you feel at home but boy is she a fast talker! She's like lead follow or get the hell out of the way Lisa! And now to the best part, the installers Rafael and Juan. These guys really know what they're doing, apparently Rafael has been doing this for over 20 years and Juan has been helping him for some time. These guys works so well that all my tenants commented on how neat clean and professional they were! I had read a few reviews about Rafeal, so I asked to have him do the install, and boy I was not disappointed! When it comes to installing windows this is the guy you want to do it. So if you're looking to buy windows in NY, this is the place to go. I had 36 windows and a patio door, installed in Three days, always on time, neat, clean, courteous and professional. The windows installed were from Okna built right here in the USA, Pennsylvania to be exact. They have Guardian ClimaGuard low E coated glass with argon gas between the panes. You'll be surprised,as an added benefit these windows provide sound insulation from outside noise much better than the old storm/wood combination. So if you want a dependable professional window company at a reasonable price this is the place to go! Window King is one of the top rated window contractors in my area, so I scheduled an appointment with them, as well as with the other two top rated companies. I met with Window King first, and immediately liked their punctuality and professionalism. Nick, the owner, is very personable. Anyone would appreciate his no pressure sales approach. I know I did. Even after being in the business for so many years, he understands that most of us know nothing about windows and so he takes his time discussing our wants and needs, his products, and by the end of the appointment he provides a thoughtful recommendation and quote. Note, all this is done without overwhelming us with too many facts and numbers. Yes, he mentioned the values and stood behind the quality of his products when compared to the BIG NAME BRAND windows, but he preferred we take the fact sheets provided and do our own comparisons (which I was going to do anyway). I'm a skeptic so I was going to do my own comparisons. After meeting with the other top rated contractors, I decided to go with Window King for the following reasons: 1) OKNA 500 series window's ratings are equal to or better than almost any replacement double hung window out there. 2) Window King's quote was cheaper and included more work than his competition, even when comparing the exact window. 3) OKNA manufacturer Lifetime Warranty. 4) Years in business. 5) Work isn't subcontracted. I was not disappointed with the installation. In fact, I was very happy. The crew was punctual, professional, courteous, and they finished in 2 days which was amazing considering the scope of the project (39 windows). Their attention to detail was second to none. The windows were installed properly, they cleaned up after themselves, and made sure we understood how to operate the windows before leaving. During the install, Nick even stopped in to make sure we were satisfied. I'm planning on installing a bow window in my den by next year, so I'll be using them again without a doubt. We had over 30 windows replaced on a very, very cold February day. The workers were good, despite the horrible weather, and they picked up their mess as best they could with snow on the ground. Now that it's warmed up, I see old window debris and some broken glass outside on the ground that must have happened during installation. That's about the only thing I didn't like. I had mostly double-hung windows replaced but also got some hopper windows and casement windows. I'm an AngiesList member so I got a discount there, but I think they give you their best price regardless. I had looked at at least 5 other window companies before making this very expensive decision and though they weren't the cheapest (by a long shot) these windows look very good. At another house, we had installed Renewal by Andersen windows and doors, and though Window King isn't of that level, I was very particular about the look of the windows and even had Ron (the estimator) out twice to show us what the windows would look like. The install took 3 days, start to finish. FYI: other window places were rather high pressure! Another big name was so cheap I was afraid of how crappy their windows would have to be! I see all these bad reviews - I'm a little surprised. They were actually pretty good. The vinyl replacement windows I bought seem to be a good value. They're not the greatest windows ever made but for the price what do you want? After 3 years they're working well and they're very weather tight. The crew was pleasant and professional enough and the customer service folks were responsive. They took all the measurements themselves beforehand and the windows ended up being a decent fit. The finish and caulking on the exterior looks decent and is holding up well so far. Every replacement window company I've worked with always ends up doing a fairly sloppy job of finishing the interior face of the windows: rivers of sloppy caulk, cheap flimsy 1/4" think window stops, etc. I was doing most of the rennovation work on the house myself so I asked them not to finish the interior. Obviously they didn't mind because it was less work for them. I finished the windows on the inside myself. If you have the time and knowledge to do it that way you'll end up with a better job than any budget-priced installers will do. read more

I hired them to install a bay window. The old man came and took the measurements. The day of installation they realized that the window was too small but they installed it anyway telling me that they would caulk around and it would be without drafts. When winter came, since our couch was right under the bay window, the cool air coming thru was impossible to bear. I called many times to have it either replaced with the correct size or get rid of the draft. Nothing was done so we went to small claims court and won the case. Collecting was a nightmare. We froze their bank account, but a complacent bank Mgr. allerted them and they removed all their money before the marshall could get to them. They changed the corporation's name by adding a word or switching words around so that the judge ( a friend of their lawyer) dismissed the case because of the switch-a roo of the corporation's name. Be very careful with these people. Will never recommend to any one. I had to put one star because it would not allow less. read more

These guys are pretty legit. Got 12 windows installed by them. The first 7 where done perfectly. Insulated, caulk, done. No issue, no draft. The last 5 were done by a different installer and weren't done correctly. I called the sales guy up and his office contacted me and will reschedule a new install. Hope it'll be done correctly this time as WINTER is here and it's really really cold. Will change rating after the install. Hopefully, I can change it to a 5,but if nothing else, their customer svc has been top notched thus far. read more

I had 6 windows replaced with OKNA windows just last week and am happy with the results. The salesman showed up on time and did not use any high pressure sales tactic which I appreciated. He was very professional and pleasant. The pricing was competitive vis-a-vis the other OKNA installer in the area. Communication from Brian, the installer, was timely and the windows were delivered and installed much sooner than I had anticipated. Installation went smoothly with no issues. I was recommended to Window King by friends. What a mistake. They came twice to measure the window opening. When they showed up to install the windows they did not any wood to frame the opening. I had to go to Home Depot to buy wood,they did not reimburse me. They put the windows in wrong had to take them out and put them back in. Some of the moulding were missing. The windows leaked. They came back 3 weeks later after 4 phone calls and installed the moldings and recorked the windows. The next rain they leaked again. I called again they had no one to send because they were busy installing other windows mean time I'm getting water damage in my house. Then they said well your windows were leaking before. No kidding that's why I paid to replace them. I finally gave up and told them don't bother coming I'll get them done right and let my attorney do my talking. Would never recommend them to my worst enemy. Customer service zero . Don't ever use them. At least if you go thru. Home Depot they guarantee their contractors work. I gave them one star because that's the only way you can write a review. read more
