I have lived here for almost 6 years now and it's been great. It's quiet, the neighbors are always respectful of others. Music and parties always quiet down before quiet hour starts. Arturo has been great. He's super friendly and quick to answer maintenance calls. I had to unfortunately have him come early because my garage wouldn't open and he came quickly to help me get to work and my garage was fixed before I got home from work. Yvette has always been very accommodating and responds to emails quickly. She's been very friendly as well. We moved from an upstairs to downstairs apartment and she helped us out the whole way and were glad she was able to help us. We love living here. read more

Don't move in to these apartments. They break into your cars. I lived here for 3 months and they broke into my car 2 times already. Manager does nothing about it. No cameras have been put up at all. The patrol that we allegedly have and I have never seen is worthless. One way in and one way out in these apartments. Not sure how it keeps happening. Very expensive for a really small, dirty, and outdated apartment complex with zero parking and a property manager with a bad attitude.

I've been renting all my adult life and this complex is by far the worst one I've lived at. Let's start with the good: 1. The unit has a washer and dryer. The bad: 1. We've been here since Nov. 2020. Since then our car has been broken into and our garage has been broken into on 2 separate occasions. 2. You get a storage above you carport. That gets broken into every week. 3. Our garage door constantly breaks. It's old and the locking mechanism doesnt hold. It actually came down on my dog's legs once and now he's too spooked to go anywhere near it. 4. The garages get broken into pretty often. Like every other week often. Our neighbor's got theirs broken into the week before ours did. 5. This is probably the worst part for us. We used their online payment system to set up payments multiple times. I even have confirmation receipts. They then come back saying it wasnt processed and charged us a fee. Multiple attempts were made and the fees just kept stacking up. Our bank said the apartment complex never attempted to process the payment so they have no record. All accounts were confirmed with my bank as well. We ended up going out to get a cashiers check and paid an addition month in advance. They are firm on charging us for the fees to the tune of about $150. We've since paid direct through our bank and not use their online payment system. Just stay away. For the amount you're paying in rent, you deserve a better place. It may look nice when you tour it initially, but dont be fooled. read more

I moved to California from Idaho and I spent about five months searching for an apartment that I could afford as a single tenant. When I toured Windrose, I talked to some active tenants and they all said they really liked living here and after six months, I agree. Don't get me wrong, it does have its downsides but overall, its a clean and safe complex especially for those who are anxious about living alone. The tenants are really nice, maintenance answers their calls in a timely manner, and its clean all the way around. There's built in security systems which is nice for those who live alone. Some apartments don't have a washer and dryer but there's one on site that stays clean and works well. All in all, I'll be renewing my lease for at least a couple years, i really enjoy living here. read more

Yvette is absolutely amazing , I lived here for a year and unfortunately due to COVID-19 ( with California closing down ) I did not renew my lease and moved back cross country to be with my family. From the time I viewed the apartment and through my entire stay I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Anytime I had a problem with my unit maintenance came in and took care of everything right away and replaced anything that I requested ! The property manager was always quick to respond to my questions and the whole staff was always friendly. I never felt unsafe in the complex and I enjoyed seeing other residence using the pool or grilling out. I miss my place and once I come back to California I will more than likely lease with them again. Did I mention your walking distance to Target ? Also your right next to the highway so getting anywhere was a breeze for me and I loved the fact that it came with a private garage and had updated stainless steel appliances and a washer and dryer as well ( I am not a fan of the laundromat so this was perfect for me but there is a laundromat across the street as well ) . I have lived here at Windrose for a year now. I have to say this is by far the best apartments here in Orange County compared to other apartments because I didn't have to compromise. They checked everything off our list and beyond when we were looking for a place to live. Having two bathrooms, two assigned parking spaces, a washer and dryer, central heat and air, and allows pets and kids (LOL), was our wish list. They went beyond our expectations with the swimming pool and hot tub, exercise room, a garage as one of our assigned parking and the other space a carport , a newly renovated apartment with brand new stainless steel appliances, a private patio, a spacious living area, and nice size rooms. It's a quiet place to live and everyone pretty much keeps to themselves. When we have a maintenance issue, Yvette is quick to get a tech over to resolve the issue. The maintenance tech is awesome too! He is very friendly and gets the job done. The price is well worth it because you save time and money not having to go to the laundromat, not struggling to find parking, and not getting parking tickets for not moving your car during a street sweep day! read more

I moved in April of 2011, and sadly am moving out by the end of this week. My time here has been so well appreciated on many different levels and I feel it's important to review this location here. First, the grounds, gym, and parking garages are so well kept and beautiful. The maintenance worker, Alvaro, has always been amazing at any maintenance request we have had, and fixed the problem the first time he came out. He was so pleasant, and very efficient. There was no delay in fixing any problems, as Yvette and Alvaro worked quickly to resolve any concerns. However the Manager here, Yvette, has been amazing! I have so loved every interaction I have had with her. From the smallest moments of waving to each other in the parking lot, to working together when signing new leases, she was always pleasant and always available. Every email was responded to timely and we always felt confident that if we went to her with any concerns (which we really had none) she would take care of them to the best of her ability. Should anyone be in need of an apartment in this area, I will not hesitate to recommend they lease here at Windrose with Yvette. I am certain they will not be disappointed. I lived in these apartments for 3 years and I had a very pleasant stay. I had sold my condo & needed to rent for a few years before purchasing a home. Delmy, the manager, was always very courteous & pleasant to work with. Anytime I had a maintenance issue, Alvaro, the handyman, was on top of things. My unit was 2-bedroom, 2-baths and it came with a single-car garage AND a carport. What sold me on this place was the fact that my unit also had a washer & dryer (I detest laundromats.) The only reason I'm not giving it a 5-star rating is because there is a hookah bar across the street on Lincoln and they would stay open until about 4:30 AM. Many of the people leaving the hookah bar would start drag racing on Lincoln with their loud exhausts & it would sometimes wake me up. Overall, Windrose is a pleasant place to live in. I never had issues with the neighbors, the grounds are maintained nicely & the pool was always clean. read more

My husband and I absolutely enjoyed our time living here. We're here from 2016 to the end of 2017. We rented out a Junior bedroom ( no washer/dryer included sadly, one of the unlucky six units that didn't include one ) And the apartment was so spacious for the two of us! We loved having our private balcony and the ability to grill on it whenever we pleased. The community was quiet and the grounds were beautiful ! The only issue we had was the apartment apparently wasn't soundproof so we kept receiving a lot of noise complaints from our downstairs neighbor when we were doing nothing but your daily living activities. It was a frustrating situation but in the end we were able to settle the situation between the neighbor and us. Yvette and the maintenance man here (can't remember his name sadly) were nothing short of wonderful and I guarantee you will enjoy your experience living here if you should choose to rent out here ! read more

A friend moved here a year ago. Seems relatively nice and quiet. Apparently there are issues with adequate Internet speeds for most of the complex. DirectTV works great but the buildings are not cabled for Time Warner or AT&T Uverse. Apparently, some people can use satellite dishes. My friend is not happy with that. - Maybe the new apartments across the street with force the management to deal with the problem. read more

I absolutely loved living here. The only reason I moved was because I was moving out of state. I lived here for about two years and a half and what made this complex great was really the management. Yvette is just a lovely person. She is friendly, professional, and immediately responsive. Anytime that we needed maintenance for our unit, she had Alvaro (the maintenance man - absolutely wonderful) attend to repairs quickly. Yes, the rent increased over the time we were there but it was still comparable for the area and you'd be hard pressed to find a better management team. I liked these apartments! Lived here for two years. Had a two bedroom, washer/dryer , garage and a carport with storage. Lived here pretty comfortable. A bit pricey but it was worth all the space we had. The first manager Delmi was so nice and so thoughtful. Then we got another manager almost a year later Yvette. She was cool I have no complains. The maintenance guy was always there when needed. What I loved was that they finally put a tv and curtains in the workout room. Made my workout go faster watching tv with cable. The neighbors were great and quiet. I did notice though there is no wheelchair accessibility. It's all stairs to get to your apartment. It's a good workout and a mission when moving furniture up the stairs and down the stairs. If you want to run around the apartment complex it's 8x around to complete a mile. The apartment also has a specific space to wash your car. The down fall is if you live by the big street you hear the cars day and night. Across the street there is a hookah bar and it gets loud at times with cars showing off on the street. I wish they would have changed the windows to sound proof. But overall I had a great stay there. read more

SHOOTING OCCURRED AT WINDROSE APT on 12/05/2012!!!!!! I have lived here for the past year now and i cant wait for my lease to end. I literally HATE this place.... i hate coming home everyday... For starter there was a shooting that occurred right below me and the tenants are still living here... DISGUSTING ! UNSAFE! second the building is old... my Air conditioning leaks ALL the time (doesn't even get house cold)... and just recently the sink started leaking... Lets not for get the constant construction that goes on here... HUGE inconvenience! Our water is always getting shut off for "repair" very annoying The manager is not very friendly... and she is very nosy, she is the Micro manager type, she watches all the cars that come in and knows what house they are going too... ALSO very annoying almost every time i try to go by the office she isn't there... multiple packages were not able to deliver since no one was there to sign for them... If i was you i wouldn't DO IT !! only perks are- Washer & Dryer in unit and BIG Master room & closet. read more

I lived in these apartments for 3.5 years, and I was next door to the apt where the shooting happened. It was a bad deal for everyone. Delmy, the manager was always friendly and upfront with me about things. There were a few times I tried to bend the rules a little, and she made sure I followed them. Sure, at times she seemed to be a little overbearing- but that's her job. The maintenance guy(whose name escapes me right now) really works hard to keep the place nice and working smoothly. In the few years I was there, we had a couple maintenance issues, and he was there as soon as he could be to fix them. You can save yourself some time, by doing the smaller stuff yourself. The garages are very spacious for being single car, more depth than width. As far as the units; make sure you get one with windows in the living room. We did not do that, and would battle mildew in the bathroom. Our neighbors had similar issues. The biggest problem this complex faces is the surrounding neighborhood. It's getting older, and a little bit rougher. Car break-ins were a problem that you would see a lot of. They did install cameras in August of '12, so that may have helped the problem. All in all, it's a nice complex with friendly(for the most part) neighbors. Keep your expectations realistic, park your car in a garage, follow the rules and you'll have a great experience living here. read more

I've been living at Windrose for 18 years and absolutely love it here. The apartments are very spacious and they are in the process of renovating the units will modern finishes. I just moved into one of the new renovated units which has laminate floors throughout (carpet in the two bedrooms), granite countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms, all stainless steel Frigidaire appliances including a built-in microwave, brand new soft close matching cabinets and vanities in the kitchen and bathrooms, and can lighting in the kitchen. These renovated units are gorgeous! The units also include a stackable washer/dryer in the closet on the patio. Since I'm in a two-bedroom unit, I also get both a carport and a garage with an automatic garage door opener. There is a community pool, spa, and fitness room which are all well maintained. The current manager (Yvette) and the maintenance man (Alvaro) are both very nice and always stay on top of all maintenance requests. I highly recommend this complex! read more
