Used this place because of all the good Yelp reviews. Was very happy I did. Efficient, professional, great price. If you need a new windshield these are the folks you want. They even made sure to transfer the state inspection sticker and local parking sticker -- all without me even having to ask them to do it! Mike also pointed out a potential problem with the windshield molding inherent to the Toyota Sienna minivan. Shouldn't be a problem but told me to keep any eye out just in case. Appreciated that! I picked Windshield City for their super competitive price and their ability to get me in as soon as possible. Their price was by far the lowest in the area! Mike told me that he would order my windshield immediately and let me know when it came in so that we could schedule. He called me 48 hours later to tell me that he found one in stock and could put it in the next morning. Scheduling was very easy and flexible to my needs. I arrived to my appointment on time and was pleased to see that there was no delay. They understand that their customers' time is valuable. They immediately began work on replacing my glass. They even moved my EZPass and Safety Inspection sticker over to the new glass. I was quoted about an hour for the work to be done. I was back in my car in 45 minutes. My windshield has a rain sensor for automatic wiper blades. Other shops told me there would be a $200 surcharge because of the difficulty of the replacement. Most of these systems are "plug and play" so don't let other places fool you. Mike reconnected the sensors with ease and it works great. If you plan to wait during service, there is an office you can sit at with some magazines. Wifi is available. Price, punctuality, and customer service were fantastic. You know, adding another 5-Star seems like piling on at this point. But when you're as good as they are, what else can you do? If you have to (or choose to) get a windshield replaced (insurance or out of pocket), why wouldn't you come here? Got my second F-150 windshield and the entire process was as good as the first time (2 years ago). Maybe better since I knew about the free Firehook coffee and pastry! There are many autoglass repair/replace shops between my house in Alexandria and Windshield City in Chantilly, but the drive (even in traffic) is worth it. You will not find a more reputable, professional, friendly autoglass shop (maybe even retail business) than Windshield City. Thank you again to Mike (and sons) and Lindsay! After reading all the good reviews and being given prices quotes that were rediculous by other "popular" companies I decided to give Windshield City a try. I'm glad I did. Called Mike late Thursday afternoon, was given a great quote and scheduled installation at my office in Falls Church on Tuesday afternoon. (Origianlly scheduled for Monday but it rained) Chris showed up when he said he would, did the install and was done in a little more than an hour. Chris was nice and very professional. Brought them my 2015 Subaru to repair a small stone chip on the windshield. One and a half hours of work and the chip is still visible. Now, besides a still-chipped windshield, the paint on the driver's side door sill is scuffed and the aluminum step plate dented in several places where the technician stood to perform the work. They gave me a $10 discount on the $70 repair because the chip isn't fixed. And they said I could return for them to try again if I wasn't satisfied. Friendly people, but based on my first experience with them I can assure you this will be my last. read more

I thought the windshield was leaking b/c black rubber molding around the windshield was coming off. I called Mike for a windshield estimate and to schedule the installation. He told me it may not be the w/shield. He told me how to test it to see if water was coming in through the intake air vent. I doubted his theory but tested it anyway. He was right. So he didn't sell me a w/shield AND he offered to fix my son's w/shield with silicone and he fixed the rubber molding AND HE DID NOT CHARGE US! My son tried to give him $ and he refused. OK, I was skeptical when I first read the reviews and saw the stars. No one can be THAT good and have THAT many positive reviews. I thought he seriously must be padding his numbers somehow. An awful lot of cousins rating him highly? I called anyway and the price he quoted for a new windshield was just slightly more than half what the web-based estimator was for another national chain. I decided to gamble and go with Mike and Windshield City. It's not a fancy business, tucked away in an industrial park in Chantilly, but I was in and out in 45 minutes and it was one of the easier auto repair transactions I've ever experienced. I actually screwed up initially and swore on a stack of Bibles that I needed the unheated windshield. But when I drove in, Mike showed me that in fact I needed the heated windshield (now I also know what THAT switch on the dash is for). Thankfully he had the right one in stock and it only cost $20 more than originally quoted (again, my fault completely). I fully expected to be jacked an extra hundred bucks for my mistake -- but nope. Lifetime warranty on the installation and labor. Quality windshield installed quickly. Great deal. Would definitely recommend to others. My only complaint is that he's sometimes hard to reach by phone and doesn't always call when he says he will. Finished quickly and called back up to my office so I could come inspect work and lock up my jeep. Very professional. Windshield City did an excellent job on my late model BMW 550i. They had all the necessary parts ready and waiting, and made sure it worked with my rain-sensing wipers and head's up display. Installation took about 90 minutes, and they removed the wipers first to ensure the glass wouldn't get scratched. The owner and staff are friendly and courteous as well. There's a small waiting room at the back of the shop, or pass the time at a nearby bakery instead. read more

Eventually I had my windshield replaced at Windshield City. What a difference! Since they were close I brought my car to them. When they removed my windshield they showed me how the previous one wasn't properly installed, glue, setting, etc. The previous 2 fixes were quick but not correct.
