I'm new resident to the community. In the last 2 months we have several security issues from tires and rims taken off cars to all the free weights stolen from the gym. Plus after speaking to few neighbors that go to gym mention me there has been several broken pieces for months and not repaired. Also they are over charging the tenants on water and sewer bills. Extremely disappointing experience with Windsor at West University. I'm writing this review to warn others about the **misleading lease policies and unreasonable management practices** at this property. We added a new roommate to our lease, and she passed both **credit and background checks** -- officially approved by the management. However, when we asked to **remove our names from the lease and let her take over**, the management told us that we are **still legally and financially bound to the lease until March 2026**, even though we are no longer living there. This makes **absolutely no sense** -- what's the point of adding a new tenant through your formal screening process if you refuse to release the old ones? It feels like a deliberate trap to **lock tenants in**, regardless of their life circumstances. We've tried asking for a lease takeover or assignment -- **no flexibility**, no willingness to work with residents, and vague answers full of red tape. Their so-called "solution" was just: wait until your lease ends in 2026. Avoid this place if you value fair policies, responsive communication, and basic respect for tenant rights. Visited on 8/6/24 at 3:00 and right off the bat the office was closed and the clock sign said back at 11:55. Not good. I assumed they has been closed for three hours and would be back who-knows-when. For luxury properties I don't do lack of attention to detail. I took the self-guided tour that was available, and that went ok, and the unit I visited was nice, great interior and amenities. I stopped by the office for water because I was all of a sudden feeling dehydrated but there was a line and also no water in the kitchen fridge. I called later to make an appointment for 8/7 for a personal visit and look at a different apartment but then cancelled after reading the Yelp reviews. Well-insulated from sound, especially from upstairs, and easy and secure parking are the top requirements for me. I have a luxury car. Too many red flags. Also I noticed that a few businesses that do business with them are allowed to give reviews for them. Surprise, 5 stars. That's a new one on me. Too many red flags. read more

I love the location! Close to where I work. They are by far one of the best buildings. I can't wait to be a new resident.

I would give a zero star for what the management had done to me. Initially when I came looking for an apartment, the lady was super nice. But, once I moved in, it faded. Pet poop smell all over the place. I had to call at least two/three times every time I place a maintenance work order. Apartment looked fancy but the inside of toilet flush tank was from ages, it kept breaking down time and again, they would come and just tweak things around to make it work temporarily before you know its broken again and water would drain out the whole day while I'm at work, I was so frustrated and the staff were late and didn't take it seriously. My mail was stolen from the luxer mailbox system, property manager and staff were insensitive in dealing with the whole situation. I had to go through such a hassle to get a replacement. Finally when I was going to end my lease, I spoke to a staff about wanting to end my lease and she responded that she would take care of it. After few weeks, I get a phone call saying that I didn't fill the paperwork to renew the lease and that I had to stay for another month (with higher monthly rate). All the staff ever cared about was money. The corporate office couldn't help me with this situation. Moving in to this place was a BIG MISTAKE. I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone. Windsor at West University, the best Bissonnet Location, Houston, Phone No. 713-523-9378. I have been living here for last several years and it is like i owning my own apartment. Richard, Senior Leasng Consultant and Joel, Senior Assistant Property Manager send maintenance requests immediatley to technicans. They are amazing empoyees of Windsor who rents to every person comes to rent from them. Their affable demeanor made them great office staff members despite the chaos of moving. Their calm demeanor makes it easier. Richard and Joel are very courteous, gallantness, good breeding, and mannerliness. They walk around the whole buiding every day making sure eveything is in order while taking care of the office work at the same tme . The Property Manager Amy, teamwork training is outstanding. Caleb the best super maintenance technican arrived and started fixing the issues I had. Followed Caleb another super senior maintenance technician, Julio arrived to assist Caleb. In no time they finished repairing, cleaning the area worked, and headed to next apartment issues to repair. Their team work is outstanding as their Manager Angel training is excellent. The whole building from inside out looks super great as it is very clean. Their trashrooms and seven floors parking garage are also spotless clean. The place is very quiet and safe. Residents enjoying workouts and working on their computers school/office work. Swimming pool is surroundd by very happy residents barbecuing and relaxing. I can go on and on how great this place is. The blue sky brightens seventh floor. Come visit and rent these apartments and visit best malls, Galleria and many other great malls, grocery stores, retaurants, schools, parks, medical center, beauty shops, repair shops, doctors clinics, and freeways to reach your destination quickly. read more

I've been living here for almost 2 years now... I am not very fond of the management team but this place does grow on me. Here are all the pros: The location couldn't be better. The amenities are very nice. My apartment has wood floor. There are full sized washer and dryer in each unit. The social events are great. They offer free yoga classes for residents. The neighbourhood is safe. (There were some incidients here and there but it's an inevitable part of being in a big city.) The on-site theatre is good. I have friends living in the same complex. It's easy to get together. The cons: There is an ongoing construction at the front of the apartment complex so driving at night can be tricky. The construction started in August, the office staff said it would be done by September. It is now almost December and it's only nearly half done. Talk about procrastination!!!! Parking can be inconvenient. There are a lot of spots on higher floors but be careful of narrow turns and cars coming from the opposite way. You can easily scratch your car. Office staff miraculously miss your emails, especially when it's something that might be inconvenient for them. Their priority is finding new tenants and scoring new leases, not taking care of current tenants. MOST IMPORTANTLY, the construction is very poorly done. I can hear everything my upstairs neighbour is doing at any time of day. The footsteps from above my head have become too much for me to live with. Lately, there are kids running raucously in the hallway as well. I have to wear earplugs to go to sleep, or just simply to write this review in mere silence. Affordable luxurious living. Have been living here for 6 months now. I thought it was finally time to write my review. It took me nearly two weeks to find an apartment that met my criteria and was in my budget. And my criteria is very special. I wanted light color floors, white marvel counter tops, open floor plan, amenities, and more. I got all of that here and a little more. The lobby is gorgeous, I have hosted several events there and all have been a complete success. I work from home and having a reliable business center is just the cherry on top. My staff does not even come up to my apartment anymore. They take advantage of the awesome amenities the building offers. And my clients, well they just feel very comfortable in the reserved areas we use downstairs for meetings. The apartment. Lets just say I got it all. Very modern, open, lots of light. It's home. I can't wait to spend more time here. I got an awesome rate for nearly 900 square feet. You do not find a space in the city that big for that price. Staff is great. The work that Ms Nancy and her team are doing is phenomenal. As a business owner and working from home, it is always comforting knowing that I have a reliable team like that downstairs. When my guests or clients arrive, they are immediately greeted by someone and offered a drink. Is like having my own receptionists. (SHH. don't call them that, they don't know). The events that they host are amazing. I cant wait to see what they are planning for April. Last but definitely not least, take the time to go to the 7th floor of the garage. As nice as this place is, we decided it just is not the right place for us. We did our homework. We began our quest many months prior to our lease renewal. In fact, we have yet to receive a notice that it is that time of year to renew or not to renew. The location is great. West University is a very safe area. You can get to the Galleria are quickly. I am not a mall kind of a gal, but if you are go for it. If you work in that area, this location would be ideal. Also. it is a nifty location for working in the Medical Center or downtown. It has many pluses. We just found something that met our needs a little better. Who knows, maybe at another time we will come a knocking again. Construction has finished and the noise and traffic problems have been completely eliminated. Management did contact after my initial review and although they couldn't offer direct solutions at the time they were very courteous and apologized. There was a small plumbing issue where I called the 24 hour maintenance/service number and someone was at my apartment within about 20 minutes to correct the problem which was very nice. There are still intermittent fob problems which can be annoying at times but are only a minor inconvenience. read more

I've moved to this complex in March when capacity was half-reached and loved it then,the location is amazing, and my unit was brand new. Gym was always maintained clean, lobby and pool areas were reasonably busy, hallways smelled fresh and looked clean all the time, and the staff were amiable. Getting in and out of complex was time-efficient, and easy task. Overall, I wanted to call the Hanover home for quite a long time based on my first 4 months experience living here. Once the complex filled up, the parking became a nightmare because unless you pay an additional $50 a month on top of your already overpriced unit for a reserved parking spot,you have to hassle to find a parking near your floor, or park in the street and risk your car being broken into. Nowadays, The gym is too crowded most of the time to be used anymore. Hallways oftentimes are dirty with stains and spelled trash from apartments. Management took notice of the aesthetically "BEAUTIFUL" recycling containers,and decided to place them at the entrance of the first floor which unfortunately where I live. The staff are also certainly more suitable to run a political campaign than an apartment complex, they are always nice. polite and friendly to an extent where it actually insults your intelligence with their politically correct answers and statements. However, they never solve any of your concerns or problems. Kerri would be the only exception where she tries her best to be accommodating. I find it now too expensive to be paying a premium of almost $700 a month only for the unit I live in when I compare prices with other properties within the same location and amenities offered through these communities. read more

My roommate and I were looking for a place that has literally everything, and while that's virtually impossible, especially since our views on "everything" differ slightly, Hanover West University comes pretty damn close! In fact, we searched over 30 properties, and you just can't get better than this. Right from the beginning, our leasing agent, Sam was awesome!! She must have showed us the property three or four times and always had a genuine smile and eagerness to do so. Not exaggerating, this was the easiest, most efficient, and best leasing process I've ever had to go through. The rest of the staff has been great too. Very friendly, and our new property manager, Jackie has been nothing but help. The property itself is beautiful, PLUS you get to choose from 3 different interiors!!!! The apartments are spacious, and plenty of parking in the garage. The pool area is a great place to lounge, plus they have a nice back courtyard for reading or grilling out. Not to mention the gym is the biggest and most state of the art I've ever seen. Now I know you're all thinking that I probably work there or something, but I assure you I don't. I'm just a resident who's been there for 2 months and extremely happy with my decision. I am currently being evicted cause of how much the office would pick on me about everything. False accusations I was being accused of. The property is beautiful but it seems like they pick and choose who they want to live in the community. If you aren't their preference. You will get picked on until you can't take it anymore want move out. I was accused of being violent with a neighbor when it was actually the other way around. I was being yelled at when I asked him politely to please stop stomping. I have cancer and couldn't get any rest cause of the neighbor. I was getting violations cause I had a noisy car keep in mind it's a v8 sports car! Then I got in contact with the DM and she said and told me!!! That I wasn't fit for the community! I couldn't believe it! I don't recommend anyone to move here. The management is horrible and harass you about everything. I would give it 0 stars if I could. I have been a resident of Windsor West University sine October, 2016. Since this time I have become well acclimated with the staff and accommodations. The community staff is always pleasant and helpful with all of my request. The cleaning staff is always cleaning the common areas leaving a great smell behind them. The maintenance staff responds quicker than anywheres else I have ever lived. The manager, Nancy, always makes time to talk to residents in the office or at resident events. The events they host are equally amazing; cooking demonstrations, Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas market in the lobby, the workout classes, and so much more. The one of the agents got on the phone so we decided to sit down in what looked like the waiting area. After sitting for about 15 mins still no one came to acknowledge us or even say they'll be with us shortly. Staff is extremely friendly and has gone above and beyond helping with applications and getting us our apartment. Rachael in particular has been very helpful and did all of my rental application via phone and email. The apartment is still being built so there is construction, however it has not caused any problems. Move in was extremely easy with the elevators. My wife and I have lived here for over two years. This place was nice when Hanover originally managed the property, but when Windsor took over the place went south. Yes, the location and amenities are great, however when there is a lack of security and enforcing of rules, all of the things that make the community nice are now diminished. -Anyone can come in and out of the parking garage, which is why there is so much vandalism. Why? Because there is no security checking parking tags. On top of that if you come home after 7pm, then you're definitely parking on the roof. -The pool area is a joke. Why? The lovely space has been turned into a carnival bc there is no enforcement of the number of guests a tenant can bring or time that people sit out at the pool. Result: pool being closed bc of disgusting water, people who don't live here trash the place bc they don't care. Loud party's at midnight in the middle of the week. Courtesy officer is even called with no response. What's the point of having one? This place looks nice upon entrance and tour, but after a month you'll regret living here. The only positive that MUST be mentioned is the cleanliness and maintenence. The ladies and gentlemen that maintain this community are by far the hardest working people. They are the ONLY reason this property hasn't fallen apart yet. read more

If you are planning on living at an apartment for longer than a year, this is not the place to choose. My renewal rate increased $210 per month for the smallest one bedroom floor plan! The renewal process has been ridiculous - management is not helpful or willing to budge even though I pointed out that the website is offering better rates and specials than what I was quoted after living here for 15 months. I feel totally taken advantage of through this process. I patiently stuck with the company despite significant delays on project completion when I was first moving in when the building was new. Even worse, other people who renewed a couple months before me had no rate increase in their rents. I also offered to transfer to a new apartment within the complex that would fit my price range better, and they agreed to treat me like a new resident. But when I went to look at the available options, they again refused to extend to me all the specials that are offered to new customers on the website. Stay away or be prepared to move in a year! Overall not a bad place to live, but I would not stay here if I could do it again due to the management not being trustworthy and not employing honest business practices. read more

I moved here a year ago when it was under Hanover management - everything was smooth, management was always so responsive and helpful to your needs. If you email them about an issue, it was taken care of immediately. Windsor management took over a few months ago, and everything went downhill - They NEVER respond to any of your emails. If you go down personally to talk to them to the leasing office, none of them know what the heck they are doing. So disorganized, incompetent, lost, and rude on top of it all. They will give whatever excuse, "oops, we forgot" "sorry we didn't know" "sorry we didn't get the email" and still nothing gets done. I used to recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to live when Hanover was managing. Now, I'm ready for my lease to end. Lived here for a few months and while the location is optimum, its not worth the price tag in my opinion. Lets start from the beginning, upon moving in, all I received was my front door key. No mail key, parking pass or codes for the dial in (which I will touch basis on later.) While waiting in the office to ask for my keys I hear one of the office personnel asking a resident to write a good review for them (how genuine). I later get a sticker placed on my freshly waxed car saying I need to get a parking pass or be towed which annoyed me because I had never been given one. The garage is residents only and theres literally nowhere for your guest to park esp on the weekends when the streets are lined with cars for the nearby bars. Not only that but its nearly impossible to see the street so when I pull out I have to say a silent prayer that I don't get hit. The garage is poorly designed and you have to watch for people whizzing around the corner since the turns are so tight. In the few months I lived there my babysitters car got broken into, close to the gate at that where the so called security guard should have seen or heard something. A month after that my boyfriends car had been broken into and he said it looks like someone tried to steal the whole car because his keyhole was jammed up and things were thrown everywhere. The dial in system for the guest is ALWAYS down so you will have to drive all the way out the garage just to get them. While staying here there was a robbery on the 4th floor at gunpoint. After this they so called "beefed up security" which was really just various young 20 somethings with not even a flashlight or pepper spray, listening to music and sitting on a fold up chair at the gate. (Wow way to go hanover I felt really safe then). One time when my boyfriend came over late night, he said he saw the security guard sleeping in his car. Which I later found out he didn't get fired just suspended for a few days. (Free vacay that'll teach him a lesson alright). The 1st floor smells rotten like dirty diapers (seriously not joking go and you will see) and the office staff is laughable. Kerrie is very condescending and will over talk you if you say something she doesn't like. The floor plans are poorly put together as well. I was in a 2x2 and the master bedroom had the small bath and the master bath attached to the smaller room (whose great idea was that?) In addition to not having a balcony like other apartments in that price range, you can find quality for about 1,000 less 2 blocks away. read more

I'm a current resident at Windsor and have been living here since July of 2016, having moved here from NYC for residency at Baylor College of Medicine. I have loved it here so far and have found the management to be exceptionally accommodating. I initially moved in to an apartment on the first floor, but after a few months found that it was a bit noisy from people entering and exiting the building. I spoke with the front office, specifically Nancy, and she was very understanding and was able to find me another apartment on the top (5th) floor. They also did not charge any moving fee! The apartment I'm in now is even better, completely quiet, and has a nice view of the courtyard. The amenities are top notch, I can't think of anything that is missing. The gym has TRX which I haven't seen at other apartment complexes. There is traffic around the complex since it's on Kirby and it is a main street coming and going, but the building is quiet inside and I have not had any noise issues. Overall, I have been very happy with the building and the management, they are always kind and respond to calls/e-mails. read more

Today me and my husband were scheduled to move at Windsor at West University. Unfortunately, we were not thoroughly informed with the incentives this community offered. We were told by Catherine that we would have 2 months free which was very shocking and we were ecstatic. We asked if we could have the two months pro rated through the duration of our lease and or if we could choose when we wanted to have the two months applied. Catherine stated that the two months were in the beginning of the tenants lease term. Which was fine however, she never stated when exactly which months would be honored by the discount. We were immediately approved and expressed to Catherine how happy we were and how the two months would allow us to save and pay off on personal expenses, etc and she agreed it was a great way to save. Catherine sent over some forms for us to sign. My husband and I were out of town and forgot to send back the forms, we received another email and immediately e-signed the forms and everything was a go. I checked my email yesterday and decided to send Catherine our electric and renters insurance confirmations, I also asked her about the two free months for July and August since those were the two full months we would be staying in the beginning of our lease. She sent over a form that we signed and said that we signed the form knowing that the free months were August and October (she never stated this to us verbally and my reason for emailing and contacting her was to make sure there were no glitches in the system). Here we are ready to move and the leasing manger Catherine is apologizing for the inconvenience and heartache this is causing but there is absolutely nothing she can do about it. I've contacted Brenda the divisional manager and she stated that she would contact the complex and get back with me in hopes to have us move in and get everything fixed (that was yesterday and we still have not been contacted). The lack of concern and desire to make sure potential tenants are treated with exceptional customer service has not been successfully implemented. Hanover West U gets 5 stars because of the people ... both the staff and the residents. There are lots of "luxury" apartment buildings in Houston. Yes, HWU looks amazing on paper and in person, whether you are a newcomer to town with just a few days to find a place, or searching afar based on what looks good over the internet. But what differentiates HWU is THE PEOPLE. I'm 39 years old, going through a divorce and moved to Houston for the birth of my daughter and follow-on medical treatment at Texas Children's Hospital. I left my home, job, possessions, friends and family to come here, expecting things to be immensely difficult given all of the life changes, the medical crisis and the lack of stability and support. HWU has been the one constant positive in my life for the past 6 months. If living in the West U area has been the "silver lining" in the clouds (moving from Austin), then I'd say the people at Hanover have been the "rays of sunshine" ... The staff not only goes above and beyond delivering the "Ritz Carlton Experience" ... Kerrie, Sam, Erica and Jackie in Leasing make special efforts to make our building feel like home ... delivering a "Community Experience." Weekly get-togethers (e.g., food truck night, weekend breakfast, etc.) and impromptu "game watch" parties bring "life" to the amenities. Imagine this Chicago Boy's surprise when he received an email from a Houston apartment building that there would be a "Blackhawks Game Watch" ! The cool thing is that HWU provides the "community" feel without it being over the top or weird ... for those who prefer the simplicity/privacy of living in just another luxury building. I would imagine that these individuals are just as stoked to know that the leasing staff is super responsive to meeting expected needs or solving unexpected problems as they inevitably arise. The big thing here is the leasing office's culture of service and continuous improvement. And it's not just the leasing staff ... The maintenance guy stops and asks how my move in is going ("Do you need a hand lifting that?"). The security guy(s) seems to know everyone and he definitely knows me ... ("How's your little boy?"). Last but not least, it's the residents. Who knew that my 2.5 year-old boy could make so many friends in a downtown apartment building? Who needs play dates? ... when it's a guarantee that he'll have a friend at the pool or a "neighbor" to point to and say hi to walking the hallways. This is the kind of community where if there is a conflict or if someone has a problem ... it doesn't become a passive-aggressive thing. In my book, a knock on the door and a polite conversation is always better than receiving a nasty note or a notification of an anonymous complaint from management. Today I met with the leasing office to discuss the renewal of my lease. Just walking into the office is always a treat ... everyone's ready-on-demand to help out however they can and quick to smile to brighten the day. Today's visit was especially warming and a reminder of what makes HWU great ... I made a special request having to do with my family situation, and it was great to have a Leasing Manager who took the time to learn about the background for my request and come up with creative solutions to explore. i hope this review helps with anyone considering apartment buildings in the Rice / Med Center area. I've been here since April 2015. There's a lot to like about Hanover West University. Here's just a few off the top of my head: - Location. Hanover is across the street from a chill/fun bar called Marquis II and a swanky and subtle wine bar called Bacchus. You can walk to either one in a minute or two. Almost everything you could possibly want is a few minutes drive from this location. - Staff. Incredibly friendly, prompt, and accommodating all across the board. It's not just one staff person that is impressive, it's the whole lineup. - Convenience/packages. The office gives you immediate notifications of not just package arrival, but ALSO package pickup. This is good if you have someone else pickup your packages - you will not that your package was picked up. - Parking. The parking garage is in the middle of the apartment, so you don't have to go outside (e.g. in the rain) to get to your car. - Facilities + pool. Exercise and conference facilities are top notch. I would feel comfortable having very important business meetings here in the conference room. There are two iMacs here as well that always work and are always on so your guests can knock out some quick work, as needed. On sunny, warm days I almost always try to make it out to the pool. It is rarely crowded as to be obnoxious as of mid-2015. I believe the apartment is starting to fill up the vacancies. - "Space". The apartment building is huge and it feels like there is a lot of vacancy, giving the place an 'open and breathable' feeling. I personally enjoy this aspect versus a jam packed 'always on' kind of apartment building. I have a 'corner office' apartment, and from a neighbor standpoint, I have literally never heard any noises enter my unit. Improvements. Minor stuff here, but worthy of being said. - WiFi. Very spotty and the speeds are often slow. The quality is such that I'm unable to rely on it for business, so I tend to use my iPhone hotspot instead. Last I tried at the pool or 'loggia' I was unable to connect and I consider myself fairly tech savvy. - Parking space and parking gate. In the evenings it is difficult to find a parking spot on my level. I often have to park on a different level than my apartment making it difficult to find my car the next day. The gate is quite narrow, especially on exiting. I feel if I'm not very careful I could easily scratch my car. - Pet policies/fees. There is a $200 refundable pet deposit + a $200 one time upfront pet fee + $15/month pet rent. The apartment is already highly priced and these fees/deposits I feel are either too high or unnecessary. At a minimum, I recommend to remove the upfront fee or the monthly rent. - Electrical. When I moved in there were some electrical issues and some of the lights were blowing out. The maintenance person resolved this quickly and to my satisfaction. Separately, the electrical outlets, for whatever reason, cannot accept all kinds of plugs. I can plug in certain types of appliances, but not others. I've been told that I need to force the plug in in order to break some kind of plastic upon initial use, but that has not been the case. I have not resolved this yet. read more

I've only been here 4 months and really like it so far! I chose this place because it has a studio sized apt that meets my needs...plus, the staff is friendly and helpful and the amenities are just what I need. I really love their work out facility. Location can't be beat! read more

I absolutely LOVE living here at the Windsor at West University! I've been here for over 2 years now and I can't imagine living anywhere else in Houston. The apartments are just lovely with quality features and loads of storage space. The amenities are wonderful, such as the pool, multiple lounge areas, gym and movie room. The monthly resident events just sets this place apart! They truly make you feel like you're part of a special family here. The maintenance staff is amazing! They respond so quickly to maintenance requests and would go the extra mile which means so much! Last but not least, the leasing staff is wonderful! Nancy, Amanda, Amy, and her team treat us like family...I have a sense of "home" living here which means so much to me after moving here from another state a couple of years ago. I feel safe and have a sense of community here with all the great people I have met so far. I can't say enough about this property! Thank you so much for making me and my family feel right at home! We have lived here for almost one year. We are only here temporarily because we're building a house and luckily it's almost done. We chose Windsor because of the location so that we could stay in our neighborhood and near our kids' schools. From the outside and the tour, the facility looks great. It's a newer complex with a wide array of amenities. BUT, it has the worst insulation of any apartment complex I've ever lived in. We live on the first floor of a 5-story complex. We enjoyed 6 weeks of blissful quiet living until a family moved in upstairs in May. For the past ten months since they moved in, our lives, our sleeping, our children's sleeping, and any desire to fully relax at the end of a hard work day has evaporated. No matter how many times my husband or I talk to the office or call the courtesy officer, the situation does not improve. Unfortunately our upstairs neighbors get to enjoy their regular daily lives while ours is regularly inconvenienced by their running, stomping, banging, screaming children who seem to have no bed time. Even their regular footfalls shake the ceiling and wake us up at all hours of the night both during the week and on the weekends. When their children are running across the floor or banging a toy on the ground, which is pretty much every night unless they are out for the evening, our entire ceiling shakes and usually ends up with our children struggling to go to sleep or stay asleep. The only solution the office was able to give us was to offer us a new unit where they would pay for our move but we would have to box up all of our belongings ourselves and take the time to basically move again, plus we had no guarantee that our new neighbors wouldn't be equally loud. The upstairs neighbors were offered the same but refused to move out. Basically, if you have noisy neighbors, there is nothing the office can really do to help you. Nancy and the other office staff are all very nice and try their best to help, but when it comes to noisy neighbors there just isn't much they can do legally. Additionally, if you live on the Dincans side of the complex, there is a bar called Bacco near the corner of North and you will hear karaoke and other loud bar noises Thursday-Sunday. Finally, whoever lives on the corner of our hallway smokes weed 24/7 so that is just one more issue for us (update: these people have now moved out so our hallway doesn't stink anymore). I'm counting down the days until we move out of here and would NEVER recommend it to a friend unless they were to live on the top floor and even then, I would probably discourage anyone from living here. The ONLY reason I gave it 2 stars instead of one is for the friendly maintenance and cleaning staff that work incredibly hard, the amenities, the nice appliances and updated surfaces, and the ONE really nice across the hall neighbor who has been great. But to be honest, none of that really matters when you are living underneath a herd of elephants that never sleep. My recommendation, find somewhere else to live! read more

However, over the last couple of months, the service team has evolved and not sure as to all the reasons why, but we are now very happy with overall positive energy and truly service focused attitudes and actions. Have been living here since year 2015. Initially, we chose this place because of its easy accessibility to food, groceries, shopping etc... Not only of its good location, the property is also great in amenities, and is very well maintained too. From time to time, there are fun social events in the club house, as well as nicely wrapped chocolates, cookies distributed to every apartment unit on Valentine's Day and St Patrick day, really happy on receiving that! All these are made possible by the wonderful staff in the management and maintenance, always there friendly and helpful. I am so glad to be in this community especially surround with happy residents cum neighbors, it would be the best living experiences here for me. Thank You Windsor! read more

I have lived here for about one month now. Kerri is the person who assisted me at the property when I came in April to sign my lease but her assistance did not end there. Between then and now, Keri has been kind enough to measure my windows and bar/desk heights so I could buy furniture and curtains. On the day of move in I had several problems due to my car and when Keri became aware of this she sat down listened, most of all she helped above and beyond the call of her duty (like helping me carry heavy boxes to my apartment). The apartment they are VERY nice, modern, clean, spacious. The neighbors that I have met are also very kind - lots of young professionals and professional couples (young and old). I feel safe coming home at 2 am from work. There is a security guard that sits out front at night - he isn't there all the time but is there more times then not. There were some issues recently regarding some bikes being stolen - not sure if they have resolved. I personally have not had any kind of safety issues. Maintenance is quick and very helpful. In terms of sound I have not had any issues. I however do like it very quiet that is why I am paying more money to live in the top floor. You have to remember its an apartment complex NOT a house - so if your neighbors are loud that will be a problem any where you live, not just at hanover. My neighbors are quiet - in fact i didn't even know I had neighbors until recently. Also, I am not sure why the other reviewer mentioned abt the AC - regardless of where you live you can always hear the AC kick on. I don't have many guests over so the guest parking is not an issue for me. If you have guest they have to park on the street out side. read more

Windsor gets 5 starts from me. The staff is very professional and the whole community is always very clean. One night I had an alarm beeping in my apartment around midnight - I called the 24 hrs phone, and the technician was there within 5 minutes. One thing though - Would appreciate if there was 24 hrs reception service, which is something I see example Hanover Southamption and Rice Village has. read more

Great location! Pet friendly with two dog parks. Neighbors are all friendly & maintenance is always taken care of in a timely manner.

My experience living at Hanover has been great. The office staff is very helpful. My apartment was brand new and maintenance was quick to respond to all of my requests. Bianca was particularly helpful when I moved in, helping me find the perfect apartment. The gym has big flat screen tv's with plenty of equipment and the pool area is well kept and has plenty of lounge chairs. Only downfall would be the lack of patios. read more
