Greg (the owner) sat down with me and educated me on diamonds/rings before I made my engagement ring purchase. I brought in a ring that I inherited that was from my grandmother's wedding in 1934 that I needed resized larger for my own engagement. I spoke with Greg, the owner, who was incredibly easy to work with. He is calm and professional and you can tell he loves his work. He had me look at my ring under a microscope so I could see the diamond much better and how the top prongs were nearly gone and needed replaced so I didn't lose the diamond. It was $65 to resize it from a ~6 to a 7, and $20 per prong (4 prongs) and it included a cleaning. When I got my ring back (dropped off on Saturday, ready on Wednesday) it was impossible to see where they enlarged the shank, and it is so much prettier after the cleaning. Before we get married I will have the ring dipped in rhodium and replated, and after the wedding I will have the band and engagement ring welded together at Windsor. I also bought my wedding band at Windsor - they found an appropriate mate for my 1934 ring which I thought would be impossible. It was even designed by the owner. I was able to trade in another ring and bring the cost down by 1/3, which helped significantly. The store is from 1919 and I was glad to help out local business. They are actual jewelers and do the work onsite instead of shipping it off like chain stores do. They can do more than rings - they can repair watches, string pearls, design custom jewelry, etc. They also remember your face and your ring each time you walk in. All of the employees were kind, gracious, and incredibly helpful. I felt comfortable and safe with them and I could tell they were very experienced. They will call you when it's ready - they were always ready a day or two before they predicted. Highly recommended! read more

This story could have had a much different ending, however the professional owner and employees turned our situation to a very positive encounter. We had send my wife's wedding set out to get it soldered together. The facility that it was sent to damaged the wedding band. The shop and staff were very nice, and they waited on me promptly. All I needed was a battery replaced in a watch, which they did, when I went to pay for it with my credit card, they asked for address, phone number, email, and who knows what else they would have asked for if I didn't question why they needed all my information for a $15 purchase. I was told 'the bank required it since I was using a credit card'. I'm sorry, that's a lie. I make purchases all over town with the same card, for much higher amounts, and have NEVER had to give my address, phone #, etc. They just want to collect that information for marketing purposes. I can understand that, but to lie and say 'the bank requires it, it's not their rule' is BS. I would have gone back in the future to make other purchases, but I will not return to a merchant who lies. read more

Nice selection, nice staff. My only issue is one time I brought in a watch for a battery to be replaced. They did it in 10 min for $8. I brought back the same watch 2 years later and it took them until the next day to do and it cost $16, just to replace the battery. read more

I am so thrilled with the piece that they created for me. I brought in for repair some jewelry I inherited from my Mother. But I also had my parents wedding bands and I had the idea I wanted to attach them together to make a pendent. Jeremy spent a long time with me discussing options and trying out different ideas. He understood my concern that whatever was done it was secure so I could be confident of not losing one ring or the other. The final design presented me with a lovely pendent that is offset and has dimension. It is now a piece that I will wear often. The rings have a high sentimental value to me and this now gets them out of storage and to be able to wear them now in this beautiful pendent is just wonderful. Once a decade my Tissot watch needs repair. This time I had to find a new place, looked around, and decided to try Windsor Jewelers. Bill did a fine job cleaning and tuning up my watch, and did it in record time. However, they did not realize that my Hopi silver band should not be cleaned. As a result the black oxidization was stripped out. When I showed them the problem, to their credit they were not defensive, but offered to make it good and were very interested to learn all I could teach them about the distinctiveness of Hopi silver. This is an excellent place! They are all extremely nice, friendly, knowledgeable and honest. I have a ring that means a lot, that belonged to my Grandmother whom I was close to. The shank had broke in two places, coming completely off. I wanted that fixed as well as to check for loose diamonds, cleaning etc so I could wear it for my upcoming wedding.I checked on many places and found that many popular name jewelers had numerous complaints such as losing or messing up peoples jewelry. But Not Windsor Jewelry. They have a perfect rating even through BBB. So that's who I chose. The going price for the type of repairs I wanted runs at least 400 and up. They examined my ring and let me know they would do all these things but they quoted an extremely lower price and very kindly told me that my ring had been very loved so much that they would not recommend it as an every day ring. They did not try to sell me any of theirs, they were just being honest. When I picked up the ring, you could not even tell it had been broken. It was absolutely beautiful. And they did more to it than what I expected. It has been a couple of weeks and it is still beautiful. I just can't get over how kind and honest everyone of them were. I did look at some of their jewelry while i was waiting and it is all beautiful and I do intend to come back in the future and buy some jewelry from them. You won't go wrong if you go to this place as I believe it is the best! They do all repairs there so there is no risk of their losing your precious jewelry as some places do. So very pleased with their services!!! I went into windsor to have a custom ring built from two special rings i owned. I needed both rings turned into one beautiful wedding ring for my wife. I presented them with some rough sketch ideas and jeremy sat down with me and we exchanged ideas and sketches until we came to the idea i wanted built. They presented me with an exact computer generated rendering that showed me exactly how the ring would look. Three weeks later i was presented a beautiful ring that went way beyond my expectations!!
