I'm honestly surprised to see some poor reviews here for Windsor. Following my last role, I hit the pavement hard and met with every recruiting group under the sun.. some were good, others not so much. My experience with Meredith and her team at Windsor (Jill, Maggi) was nothing short of amazing -- think of her as Jerry Maguire to my Rod Tidwell. She took the time to understand who I was and what I wanted, she spoke WITH me rather than AT me. The misconception is that all recruiters perform and behave the same way 'since it's in their best interest', but frankly not everyone values quality over quantity. Where Meredith stood out most was her relentless & aggressive approach to the work.. whereas others would simply submit me for roles and call it a day, Meredith cultivated her network and PUSHED for my candidacy. As a result, she helped me to land incredible top-tier interviews.. one of which resulted in a phenomenal offer that I recently accepted. All talk. No action. No proof. And poof! The recruiters will disappear after you play phone tag a few times. Though told I would be sent on interviews with 'amazing companies' ASAP, not one actually happened. I've never liked liars. Think I will stick to the other firm I recently met (message me if you want the name, they seem great) with who actually works hard for their candidates. Even if I am just going on 90 minute interviews that never lead anywhere with the hardest questions I have ever been asked in my life. Hey, at least it gets me dressed up, out and about talking to real live people instead of the dim-wits on the TV screen all day, some entertainment value (last interview was with one straaaange crew) and nice free cold bottles of water! read more

I had a weird experience with Windsor. I heard back from a lady from here just asking to meet. At that point, I still had a job and was trying to arrange something with her. I suggested around 5:30. She didn't answer my email for days. I emailed again. She just said "I work until 3". Okay....... I got an unprofessional and uncomfortable vibe and did not meet with her. I felt like I was bothering her by telling her my current situation, experience etc. This wasn't promising or worth my time. read more

Meredith Foster should run for President... of the universe. I absolutely can't say enough to express that Meredith Foster is the hardest working woman in the staffing industry. She has excellent long-standing relationships with clients and colleagues (she often teams up with Jill which = world domination). I have known her since 2013 and she is inarguably a force to be reckoned with. I may go all over the place with this review, but there isn't enough praise in the world that will do this A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ review for Meredith proper justice. Meredith is an absolute pleasure to work with and I am beyond grateful to her. She takes the time to learn about one's interests, experience, and goals, then quickly and accurately (in a way that is mind blowing) finds opportunities that match a candidate's skills and personality. What many tend to overlook is considering whether one is a good fit CULTURALLY. Some of my favorite qualities are Meredith's honest, no-nonsense, straight-shooting approach, which is often combined with her wonderfully dry humor. Interviewing can be exhausting and she makes totally bearable. She's so respectful of my time and always available to answer questions. Meredith will keep you on your toes both requesting and offering timely updates throughout the process. Meredith knows what she's doing. Give her the info she asks for and let her work her magic. Her ability to perfectly match candidates with companies is insane. She is the millionaire matchmaker of the corporate/finance world. Most recently Meredith placed me at my dream job. Took about 2 weeks which is crazy, however, the actual company I just joined, took only a few days to interview, receive an offer and accept. (Please remember, the company's time frame is not something anyone can control, but if there is the ability to have the influence to move the process along, Meredith Foster does it. I had back to back interviews last week, and suddenly Meredith said, "Company X wants you to come in tomorrow. What's your availability? YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE THEM. You're going to want to work there." I left the interview the next day and told Meredith "if I don't work here I will be devastated." She nailed my perfect fit. Even though I know her supernatural ability to do this, I'm still just so shocked. A few days later I accepted the offer. Her persistence and diligence is the key. She can only work as hard we, the candidates, work. Meredith is unbelievable. Her job is to put you in front of great potential employers and the rest is up to you. She fully prepped me for every interview and motivated me to always give 100%. I think of Meredith as a great mentor who offers valuable insight/suggestions for everything from when to be more outgoing vs. more reserved, to writing thank you letters. She proofed what feels like thousands of thank you notes for me. She is the reason why I'm beginning this exciting new chapter of my career and I can't find enough ways to say how much I appreciate her hard work and dedication. I more than highly recommend Meredith to anyone serious about finding a new job. The difference between Meredith and everybody else is her coaching ability, listening skills, organization and the ability to hammer down real opportunities with speed. Im being generous and giving them two stars because they DID get me one interview. But the good ends there. I worked with Tammi and Robert and i have to say they were both very unprofessional. I had received a call from Tammi after i had responded to a job opening on craigslist. While i was a bit skeptical, i made an appointment to see her but, i was NOT informed prior she was working from Florida due to a family emergency. While i am sympathetic i would have passed if i knew i was going all the way to the agency just for a skype session (lets not mention that one of her family members interrupted our session to talk to me!). Since she was away she had Robert fill in for her, who thought it would be okay to smoke one of those electric cigarettes throughout our talk and waste my time chatting about off topic subjects that were none of his business. In the end of course, i was promised that there were tons of places they could place me in. A few WEEKS later, i i get a call from Tammi about a floating secretary job at the ENT department over at Cornell medical center. All they did was tell me the time and the place, i had to ASK Robert to send me the job requirements, and they weren't even correct! The position was not for a "floating secretary" but a receptionist for the residents at the ENT dept. Not only did they sent me to a interview extremely unprepared and it showed, the people that interviewed me were extremely condescending and rude, it was terrible. Obviously, i didn't get a call back. Another waste of time, thanks Windsor! The worst part of it all was when the agency called my previous employer, and in her words, "harassed her for 20 minutes" about my weaknesses! Unbelievable! Meredith is the best! Over the past six months I have interviewed with countless temp agencies. Meredith at Windsor met with me Wednesday and had me working the NEXT DAY! I'm a stand-up comedian and Meredith understands that I need something to help me pay the bills until comedy does. I met with Shelia Rojas. She is the best recruiter on earth. She cares. She tries hard to put you into the right assignment. She works closely with Cindy Luxemberg, she is also a great recruiter. There are so many agencies in NYC that bring you in just to fill their date base with names in case a job comes in. Windsor is great, they have real jobs to send you on. I highly recommend them. In fact, its one of the only great ones in the city. The rest are cheap sales people. read more

This is a great temp agency. I would give them 5 stars but they lost one of my checks and I had to pay $30 for a new one. Sheila however, is the best recruiter I've ever met hands down. she was so nice the first time I met her and assured me she would find me work. She booked me for many assignments when I couldn't find anything and with a good pay rate. She even found me a permanent position with great pay at a wonderful company. My recruiter, Tami Fleisher, was very observant with what I was looking for and helped significantly by leading me in the right direction for my next career move. This gem of a staffing firm has a very special resource- Jill Shapiro. From the moment I met her, I was completely confident in her abilities and connections. She was positive she would find a position for me. This isn't one of those recruiters who insists on putting you in a temp position. Jill and Donny have an incredible roster of companies and had me interviewing almost immediately. I appreciated the way Jill and Donny would take the time to prep me prior to an interview and give me all of the resources I would need. I have used other staffing firms-- usually after the first interview, you have to harass them into calling you with opportunities. Windsor was the opposite. Jill and Donny always kept me apprised to the status of upcoming interviews through emails and phone calls. I spoke with Maggi and immediately thought something was shady with her. I applied to a specific job posted online and she emailed me "What are your salary requirements?" There was no like "Hi Linda, my name is Maggi..I saw you applied to xyz, what is your salary requirement?" It was weird honestly...but ok. So I answered her...she then asked me to fill out a candidates form via email which asks for way too much information..I'm sorry, I'm not giving you references and full background info until we meet and a company I interviewed with asks for them directly. I told her I would fill out a later time but that we can set up a call. We speak and she was so rude on the phone..she asked what my GPA is, so I told her 3.8 and she laughs and goes, "what about the other 2 points?" Uh, is 3.8 not a good GPA?? So then she starts telling me about all these other jobs and I reminded her that I applied to a different job posting and she said "Well, I don't even know if that job is still available...what about another kind of job?" I said no and asked her why it would be filled if the job only posted yesterday? So weird...I obviously did not fill out that form or reach out to her anymore. I think overall...unless you know someone directly who was hired by a staffing agency, to avoid them at all costs and save yourself from wasting time and frustration. I worked with Windsor about four years ago and my experience was amazing. I worked with Meredith and Donna in New York. So naturally that I am currently looking again in New York, I figured this experience would be just the same. Well that is NOT the case. I've just actively started applying so I can't quite remember which site I applied to for the role that she had/has but the Managing Director (Rosenfeld) reached out to ME!! I immediately e-mailed her back and said once I got to work the next day, I could see what my schedule was like for the day and we can set up a time to speak or meet. My morning started out amazingly crazy so I couldn't reach out to her until mid-morning. I apologized for my delayed response and why. I then asked her if she was available between 12:00p-2:00p that day. Her response, "Unfortunately Not" with nothing else. I then e-mailed her back and asked, "okay,can you let me know when you are available?" She never replied back. Nothing! I realize people get busy and most agencies are factories but that was about a week ago. I'd stay far away from her. She cares nothing about the client and client needs. This is the worst recruiting agency I have ever worked with. The Account Manager, Richard Hauptman, had no idea what he was doing and when I eventually told him I was no longer interested working with him, the division president, Mike Zaremski, reached out to me in order to try to make things work. Mike was nothing but rude and arrogant, not to mention he only gets back to you when it benefits him. I would recommend to stay away from this firm at all costs. I have learned there are much more friendly and productive firms out there to work with. read more

Tami Fleisher is a great recruiter. The same day I registered with the agency, she was prepping me for an interview with a potential employer. Due to her diligent effort and consistency, I was hired the following week. I appreciate her hard work to make sure I was employed quickly and satisfied with my placement. What I appreciate the most about her is that she genuinely cares. For instance, she reached out to me several times to make sure I was okay. She addressed all my concerns. In addition, I did not have to reach out to her numerous times without a response. Unfortunately, other temp agencies falls within this category. She had my best interest at heart. She called me the night before the interview at 9pm (because she will go out of her way to accommodate you and your schedule!) to prep me and make sure I was completely ready.
