Really enjoyed this spot. The staff is incredible! Happy, engaging and easy to talk with! The atmosphere is comfortable and clean. Everyone seems to know each other. We had soup, French onion and sausage lentil. Both were delicious! We decided to split a pizza, which came highly recommended. It was way bigger than expected and perfectly cooked! Thin and cheesy with fresh garlic, tomato and basil. Yum. Unfortunately, when we left, we saw that my car door was dinged. Sigh. It really put a damper on things. It would've been nice if someone left a note or came in to apologize. We'll be back, but will be more careful about where we park. read more

I feel kind of guilty giving this place five stars when it's the first time I've ever been here. However we walked in just to grab a quick bite. I appreciate a bartender/server who can make a recommendation (when you say-like I did-I like IPAs and I don't have any preference and she just brings me one. Free Dive fromTampa that was just outstanding. I also ended up talking to all the locals and saw their food come out of the kitchen and for a bar and grill it was surprisingly upscale. The place was packed which also said a lot. My husband ordered the chicken wings and french fries which you think seem to be boring and standard but the fries were excellent. I ordered a wedge salad ($11) and a side of grilled steak ($9 add-on) Again was very surprised that ordering medium rare resulted in a medium rare steak coming out with my salad which was huge. I wish I'd taken a picture. We saw the quesadillas come out and they looked exceptionally delicious. The locals here were raving when I asked them their opinion. The service here was beautiful. Bartenders were engaging with all the customers and you can tell this is a place for regulars however since I'm not a regular it was still a very good experience. Friendly for sure! read more

My wife and I stopped by the grill after going to the aquarium. It was busy at the bar and we waited a little while for our server to get to us but the food was worth the wait. We had the pepperoni knots as a starter. I had the blackened Mahi Sandwich and my wife had a cheesesteak. Everything was really good and would've been five stars but they need more help cause it was really slow and we noticed people that came in after us get served before we did which was a little aggravating. We haven't been to this place since before the pandemic. Nice little local place hidden but apparently the locals all know it's here cuz it was pretty crowded today. We started off with the potstickers and the sauce was amazing. Moved on to the mahi-mahi tacos and again it was a sweet surprise! My brother-in-law got the burger one of his favorites bacon cheeseburger. It looked very yummy! We ended with some wings and the only thing I can say is improve your blue cheese dressing. It was lame compared to everything else we had. Service was great and Jessica was very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend we will be back! read more

A Island way gem!!! Located right accross from the Clearwater aquarium. I feel so spoiled by being so close to such a consistently great restaurant . The staff is always welcoming and the food is consistent. There is a large bar seating area and few tables on the inside but, has a few seating options outside as well. We did take out from Windward last night, and the food is still just as delicious! Our go to order is chicken wings! We get them hot and Daytona. The Daytona style is when they seem to put the wings back on the grill after frying them. Adds such a great char on the wings. It is an absolute game changer for all wings. We recently learned they do brunch on Sundays, and i would absolutely recommend that as well. 3 dollar mimosa? Yes!! It's a win. read more

This is nice and close to the aquarium and is probably better than aquarium food but not great. We had the garlic knot appetizer, kids grilled cheese, beef tacos, and nachos. The garlic knots, grilled cheese and fries get the highest ratings. The tacos were pretty good but the slaw that came with it lacked flavor. The queso on the nachos was good but they overall weren't high quality. This was a great place for a quick lunch. read more

I eat here pretty frequently, as it's conveniently located to where I work at on Island Estates. Windward serves up delicious salads, burgers and pizza. The menu is pretty extensive, so you can eat here regularly without getting bored of the food. They also have daily specials and a daily soup. The service is always friendly. The atmosphere is causal with a bar and then high top seating. There is also seating outdoors if you choose to dine outside. While this place is in an area with tourists, it feels more local, especially at lunch. There are TVs, so I assume they have games on in the evening, but since I'm there during the middle of the day, it's usually showing the news. read more

Very clean and very friendly restaurant in a small strip mall and across the street from the Clearwater Aquarium. We went for a late lunch and there was no one in the place. We were concerned about this but were quickly put at ease with the friendly greeting. Three of us had the Friday Special, Fish and Chips, and the fourth had a Turkey Club. Food was served quickly and was tasty. The Fish was a very large piece and while good, we all agreed that had a bit too much breading. We are visiting on vacation.. we were recommended by a bartender at a hotel for this place. It was amazing! It was busy inside but we had a spot outside. A few tables were outside and some folks there enjoying the evening. Inside it was clean and inviting. Service was friendly. The pizza was suggested but I opted for the meatball appetizer with extra crostini. Darn near kicked the bowl. I'm still craving those meatballs. I hear them calling my name. Meatballs-get in my bell UPDATE: returned last night, June 18th, with another friend. I ordered the meatball appetizer again, exactly the same thing as the time before. Consistency is key in the restaurant business and these folks have nailed that. It was as presented and tasted just as I remember. Great place to grab lunch or dinnner. All the waitstaff is very friendly and happy to accommodate. We never had a wonderful stromboli until we had it at the Windward. It's so yummy (stuffed full of meat and cheese); it's big enough to split with a friend or have for leftovers. We asked for an extra side of marinara and a salad; you have to get your greens in. We enjoyed the restaurant so much that we brought the parents in from out of town for another great meal. It can get busy, so be prepared especially around dinner time. Have a Plan B ready if they cannot accommodate you/your party. read more

My girlfriend and I just ate at this restaurant today. She ordered the cobb salad which she enjoyed. I ordered the caprese salad and wings. The caprese said was horrible even without tasting it. First of all the tomatoes were beef steak tomatoes and not plum tomatoes and they were raw yellow and hard inside. The balsamic glaze was not glaze at all it was actually straight balsamic vinegar which is totally incorrect. The whole dish was knowingly misrepresented and when I told the server she totally agreed and offered to have it made again, of course I declined the offer. The wings were charred to long on the grill and were really a large size and slimy inside. I will never eat there again but the servers were nice!!!! read more

We go here 2-3 times a year and it's usually good, with a nice atmosphere. However, we had the pizza tonight and it was very bad. It was incredibly runny and soggy. There was absolutely no way you could eat it without a fork. Probably top 3 worst pizzas I've ever had. read more

This place has pretty good food, I got the chicken cordon blu sandwich which I have never seen before on a menu, everything tasted great and the staff was very friendly. The environment is quite loud and the dine in area is on the smaller side. Definitely made to be a bar and has more of that environment. So so good food.. such excellent service and so casual and friendly! We went there right after going to the Clearwater Marina (another great place to visit). We didn't want to eat at the marina, so we stopped here right afterwards, and we are so glad we did!
