A wonderful time! Exceeded expectations! We actually had a unique request here: We wanted the truck for 3 hours. For a fund raiser, where there were a couple hundred kids on site. In Lincoln Park (in the city). On a Friday night. On the Halloween weekend. Which happened to be the night of the first World Series game at Wrigley Field in 71 years. Clearly, there were obstacles in our way. Windy City Game Theater could have just passed on this (which would have been disappointing, but understood). And yet, they came through: They arrived on time. Set up perfectly for our party. Worked with us 100%. And as result, the game truck was the hit of our party! We got so many good compliments, not just for the truck itself, but for the personnel that worked with us all night. If Windy City Game Theater can accommodate us on our unique requests, I'm sure they can tackle other requests with no problem. And in doing so, they provide a great gaming environment for all to enjoy. We'll definitely reach out to Windy City Game Theater for our party next year! read more

This is my only experience with one of these types of businesses, but it was great for a 9-year-old's birthday party with 20 guests. They provided a lot of information about what to expect, which was helpful. They arrived as scheduled, 30 minutes prior to our party, and were all set up so that guests could start gaming right away and maximize the 2 hours we had booked. They are clearly experienced at how to facilitate these types of events to keep all of the kids engaged the whole time. They had Wii and XBox games--pretty much anything that kids that age would want to play (they also have Mature-rated games that you can make off-limits). And the "Glow Party" was a worthwhile upgrade--especially for photos. This was super convenient--truck parks in front of your house instead of having to go to another location. And the pricing was comparable to other types of parties we could have had. Bottom line: the kids had a blast. I don't know how they got them off the truck when the time came, but that also went smoothly. read more

I have to say that his was such a fantastic idea. I had this truck for my daughters Birthday party with 10 of her friends. From the moment they stepped into this truck all I saw was smiles, They had so many choices of games to play, music was playing the whole time, or they could of even watched a movie. They also had lights flashing which made it even better. They were entertained for two full hours of video game fun. I have to say the owner and his two daughters were so fantastic with the girls, they helped them if they had any questions, and even played the games with the kids if they needed more than 1 player. I would, and already have recommended them to friends, and neighbors. My daughter and all her friends could not say enough about how much fun they had. read more

Best party ever! This was the second year in a row we used Dave and his team and I couldn't be more pleased. He arrived in plenty of time to get set up and was ready and waiting when the first guest arrived. I was blown away by his attention to the safety of the kids. He had orange cones out in front and behind the truck and placed a block of wood behind the tires. Dozens of details were clearly thought out behind the scenes to make it a great experience for everyone. Professionalism at its finest. The truck was heated so the kids were plenty warm. He even had a spot to store all of their bulky jackets. My son enjoyed his day, the kids were entertained and I have a ton of pictures with kids facing me but their eyes on the screen. :) Happy gaming! read more

*BEWARE* Tried to book this company I found on Groupon for my son's bday. Called for info and was asked to book on their website but would honor Groupon pricing. Never signed contract since pricing was wrong. After 3 weeks I emailed asking status. No response. Called a few days later. No response. Emailed to cancel a few days after that and now responses. Told no refund since I clicked a box stating that. Mentioned I was ghosted and never signed contract. Bob told me no refund, just raincheck. On website it stated refunds in full 8 days prior to event. Sent that screenshot to Bob who then said it was old then changed his site. I sent Groupon and BBB extensive emails with screenshots of this incident. read more

Amazing! My son is a huge Minecraft fan and gamer in general. I did my research before choosing this game truck. Since his birthday is in January, I needed something contained inside. They are the only game truck I could find with 8 screens (most have 5 inside the truck). Windy City Game theater has 8 but also has 2 handheld screens. We added the glow party (a must!). You will be the parent of the year if you do this for your child's birthday! And if you do, only go with Windy City Game Theater. I contacted the company and Bob returned my call immediately. He answered all my questions and gave me all the information. We booked with them and were not disappointed! His communication is prompt and clear. Prices are fair. The gaming trailer arrived before the scheduled time and was set up and ready to go. All the kids were super excited! The trailer is enormous and there are so many games to choose from. He made my 10-year-old's birthday party phenomenal. Please consider using this company as you won't be disappointed. My twin boys had an amazing 9th birthday with all their gamer buddies! Dave was very helpful and patient with the kids. The neon party was an added bonus for sure! He arrived 15 mins early and was ready to go. I booked a few weeks in advanced and payed on line. We just used Windy City Game Theater for a party to celebrate my son's 8th birthday. My son and the other party goers had a blast. Bob does a thorough job in explaining everything to the party hosts and the kids. He was able to quickly get everybody set up with their desired game. In fact, we had the good fortune of being the last appointment of the day, so the adults rented the truck for an additional hour so that we could play some ourselves. Windy City came to our home for our son's birthday and all our guests, kids and adults, LOVED it! Inside is really cool and set up so there was enough room for everyone to play. Bob and Travis arrived early to set up and were very polite and courteous throughout the evening. This was a huge hit with my son and all of his classmates. We filled the truck with 24 eleven year olds (boys & girls) and they had an absolute blast! It was a perfect party for me. My son had all of his friends to celebrate. All we had to do was walk out the front door for the celebration. They were never bored and were disappointed when it was over. We had a blast. The kids couldn't get enough. My daughter and her friends had a great time. Some of the parents even stayed on the truck. Very spacious and comfortable.
