I love this little hole in the wall. Just on the corner with horse farms all around, this place is unique and one of a kind for those looking for a different place to eat. It's always busy, but when a place offers Ale-8 through the fountain, you know you hit the right spot. The service was great and my food was wonderful. I got the Kentucky Boy Po Boy. Highly recommend.

I'm super disappointed that I had not discovered this place sooner. The ambiance is cozy and quaint, and the food is delectable. I had the opportunity to visit with my colleagues. They were excited to eat here and now I know why. I had a fried tofu poboy (not the menu name) and it was very good. I also tried a scone. Definitely would love to visit this establishment again. The best part is that is that it is not far from home.

Super cute country store and restaurant. It definitely is a little discovery if you're in the Lexington area. The food was ok, but the relaxed location and friendly staff are a plus. You order at the counter before sitting. They have so much to offer from baked goods; local things, and liquor. It's a nice little pit stop. I enjoyed the fish. The coleslaw and Brussel sprouts needed a bit more seasoning for my taste, but it was ok. It was fresh and cooked to order.

Stopped for lunch with a friend. Had the Crispy Chicken Sammy, with pickles and shredded lettuce. Good choice. Tender bird. Came with Miss Vicki's Salt & Vinegar Chips. My friend had the Windy Burger. Good, too. 102

Another dining establishment that is worthy of more stars than I can provide in my review. Nor can I do it justice but I will try. We started off with warm beer cheese which came with a wide assortment of vegetables and warm rolls to dip in the cheese. Next I had a bowl of steamed vegetables that were seasoned with salt and pepper. I eat veggies all the time and I've not learned how to prepare them like this. My veggie bowl was filled with new potatoes, Brussel sprouts, zucchini, yellow squash and broccoli and seasoned with just salt & pepper. I requested that they leave out the butter to make it vegan. There were one or two other items that could have been adapted to be vegan. For dessert we enjoyed beignets with a homemade chocolate sauce that was divine. It was just hard to describe how delicious it is. Just order it and enjoy it.

I had the western omelet with wheat toast and tots . The veggies in the omelet were cooked well but not mushy. The omelet itself was nice and light . As for the toast I would have been happy eating just the toast it was that good &the tots were nice and crispy. The others had eggs over easy with sausage and bacon plus toast and tots. I'd say easily that everyone enjoyed the Monday breakfast club meet up.

At lunch, the gyro is a winner, plenty of meat, red onions and the right amount of tzatziki so that you get tzatziki in every bite but it's not swimming in it to overwhelm the delicious meat! But the real deal at lunch is the tater tots. Look at the picture, they are perfect. A rich golden to slightly dark brown for the correct crispy exterior. The tater tots earn this place a 5 star review easily.

When you walk in you see antiques from the store next door including art work, chandeliers, plates, tea cups and more. There is plenty of seating inside and tables outside as well. The gentleman that took our order was so friendly, had a sense of humor &was helpful not only to us but the people behind us as well. (He was also very charismatic). We didn't wait long to order or to receive our food. There is no table service so they'll ask for your name and call it out when it's ready. I ordered the healthy spinach salad with chicken and a side of fresh fruit &my friend ordered the italian Zuppa toscana. (She said it was good but a little spicy for her ). The ingredients are fresh and clean, portions are exactly as they should be. My spinach salad had pumpkin seed, strawberries, mandarin oeanges, pear, spinach mix, feta cheese (I think) and came with a side of balsamic dressing which I didn't even use. I had water and my friend had a soft drink from the fountain machine. For the two of us including the fountain drink it was 24.00. My friend thought it was on the pricey side while I thought it was a reasonable price considering how fresh everything was.

Parking is the usual downtown situation, but easy enough to navigate. Lots of choices, and if you're offered a cookie, you really shouldn't say no! The snickerdoodle was delicious! $15 for a bunch of food from some very nice people is a hard deal to beat. I'll definitely have to get here more often!
