so, merry christmas and happy new years to me. i ordered $1600 worth of champagne on december 12th and they took my money for the order. i called 5 days later and was told that i would have it the following week. on december 23rd i called again wondering where my order was and i was told that my order was on back order and i should have been notified when i placed the order. i totally wasnt. now i have to scramble to try to find this rare champagne before new years. so i cancelled my order and was told to wait 5-7 business days for my $1600 refund. i can only shake my head and laugh. i guess i should be happy that i can afford rare champagne. read more

Tried ordering through their website. I should have listened to the previous reviews of this place before ordering. I don't think their e-commerce site is a legitimate business. I ordered a number of bottles of premium liquor on sale on their website only to have my order cancelled without notice or explanation. No one responded to my email requests or phone calls to explain what happened. This website posts low prices on certain products to attract customers but provides no merchandise. customer service is non- existent. Avoid this business!!! read more

Ordered a couple of inexpensive bottles, and paid just as much for shipping. I don't have a problem with that. But when I pay $20+ to have something, (anything), delivered, I expect it to take less than a couple of weeks. And as a new customer, I'd think my emails would be responded to. Don't bother ordering online from Wine Chateau. Very misleading delivery estimates and horrible customer service. I ordered because they are based in NJ and I am 30 miles away in NYC. According to the map on their website delivery to NY would be scheduled for in 1 business day from shipping. I ordered on a Tuesday morning, on Thursday after emailing for an update they texted to say my order had shipped. Two days later on Saturday I finally receive tracking information which says my order is scheduled to be picked up. 3 days after that my order still hasn't been picked up by the carrier. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

They knowingly sent us the wrong product, admitted as much in emails and on the phone, but refuse to refund our order. They keep pushing us to keep the incorrect wine by taking a miniscule discount. This online retailer is a complete scam. They will charge you for wine that they don't have in stock, and have "no expectation of getting in." (I was literally told this on the phone). They sent an email weeks after the order to say that one or more of my bottles was going to be delayed, and they were going to let me know when it shipped. No mention that they never expected to ever get it in. They were just going to take my money, and send me nothing knowing that the wine I ordered was never going to come in. When I asked why they hadn't shipped the part of my order that they did have, I was told that it was my fault for never calling them to tell them to ship a partial order. There was no email or message that ever said they were going to sit on the bottles they did have until the other bottles came in (--the ones they admitted they had no expectation of ever getting them in). So, they charged me for wine they did not even have nor ever expected to get in, and they were never going to ship me the rest of the order I paid for either. They were going to take my money and send nothing in return. Complete and total scam. STAY AWAY. read more

The worst on-line retailer I have dealt with in many years. Horrible customer service. On their website they seem to have a great selection but many of the items which appear to be in stock are not, and they do not tell you. There is no communication on the status of backorders. I ordered wines and liquor right after Thanksgiving for Christmas gifts. It is mid-January and I am still waiting on 8 bottles. Nice. Since early December I sent 3 emails to customer service and received zero response. Finally, I called today, and after 15 minutes on hold I spoke to someone who said they had no idea when the backordered items would be available. And he claimed that one of the bottles I am missing had previously been shipped. They will issue a credit card refund in 2 - 3 days for only 7 bottles, even though I am missing 8. There are many other on-line wine retailers to purchase from, why deal with an operation which clearly has contempt for their customers? read more

Since then we've moved away from the immigrant communities and as i don't know any other Romanians out here, i haven't even seen this since. My understanding is that the owner also owns the adjacent restaurant, Lola. This was a smart move, as Lola is BYOB. We went there before dinner and picked up 3 bottles of wine to go with our meals. While we dined there, I saw several more customers leave Wine Chateau and enter Lola for dinner. The name is appropriate. While you can get beer and liquor here, the majority of the space is reserved for wine, predominantly better wine. The wines are very well organized and presented. The employees were glad to assist, but I was having a better time hunting on my own. The wine tasting room - more like a lounge - has better furniture than I've seen in many homes. If I'm in the area and looking for better wines for dinner or an event, this would no doubt be my first stop. read more

If you want to deal with lying customer no service no communication shady online order jerks this is the spot. I ordered a high end German brandy from these guys. Was told by their Arby's level employees how they would get the booze to me in 2 weeks. Well 2 weeks later moneys out of my account and no email, no call no smoke signal I call there customer service line and no one picks up. Just ringing and ringing. I think it must be because of the holiday. I call the Monday after guess what no one picks up there phones. They online chat says they are available but maybe that's like a saying to your customers we have found a new way to scam you. So I have to call the actual store to be put on hold 4 times before I am put in voice mail hell. I get up at 6 am to call these mouth breathers to be finally told by the manager they are out and he didn't know when it would show up. Then he says what do wanna do. Wait and as soon as I get it oll send it to you or get my money back. I get the money back. No hey let me make this right let me help you out sorry for wasting your time. None. seriously if you want to be treated like a dollar sign by the garbage people who just want to rip you off come here. Buyer beware these people suck at their jobs. read more

Slow shipping and terrible customer service. I order wine and bourbon from all over the country and this has been the worst experience I have ever had. Ordered a single in stock bottle on 12/9 and was told it shipped. Tracking is not accurate and when reaching out in 12/23 I got a message back saying they were cleaning the bottles for my order and it would be "packed right now". Cleaning the bottles huh?.....Can't make this up. Today is Jan 6 and still have no information on shipping or tracking. Would not recommend Wine Chateau and will not use again. Check out BBB.com (Better Business Bureau) and they have a 1 star rating and an "F" Accreditation. read more

If you're fortunate enough to be considered a business legally able to open during COVID-19, at least be respectful. I understand that people are getting bored of wearing face coverings, and it's not particularly comfortable, but the last time I checked many people in NJ are still contracting and dying from this pandemic.
