This is only based on the tasting room. My husband, 2 friends, and I had signed up for the free Bunnahabhain Tasting and expected a nice relaxing evening with friends learning about Whisky. What we got was an unbelievable education on whisky from the Bunnahabhain rep, who was extremely entertaining. He never stopped pouring fantastic whisky after whisky inside this amazingly furnished tasting room. Others are correct in saying this room looks more like a NYC lounge/club than a tasting spot in a wine store. The couches were comfy and the decor swanky but cozy. I'm happy we went and we really enjoyed the presentation and atmosphere of this tasting room. A great time with great friends! read more

This business is nothing but a scam. I ordered on 04/14 and was promised that my shipment will arrive within 9-10 days. 15 days passed with no updates, no shipment, no messages, no email. I reached out through online chat and was lied by an agent named Victoria that my order was ready to ship. A week went by with no shipment and no emails. Emailed several times more with absolutely no reply. I sent a message on their site and gave them an ultimatum that I will file a BBB complaint then I finally got an email saying that a shipment will be happening within 2 days. 5 days went by with no shipment or any message. I filed a fraud claim with my credit card company and received my refund. This business has a rating of "F" on BBB. read more

DO NOT ORDER from this business. They charge your card before shipping, never ship or send the wrong item (or both, in my case), and then it's a fight to get a refund. Ordered two bottles of gin that were shown as in stock. After several weeks I inquired on where the items I paid for were and was told one would ship soon and the other was being sent from the supplier. Received the wrong bottle and was told they would give me 10% off the cost to avoid returning the bottle. That is absurd. The correct answer is to send me the correct item and let me keep the incorrect one at no charge, as most reputable businesses do. Then they eventually cancelled the 2nd bottle that I had already paid for and I had to ask for a refund on it. They said it would come through in 3-5 business days. It have been over 7, and nothing. Will be disputing this charge with my credit card company to get my money back. Total frauds. read more

I received a survey request in 4/15 about my experience. Completed it by saying I couldn't really comment on my experience since the only thing that's happed was they processed my payment. I like this place a lot , and recommend it! I knew this as soon as I walked in. This place smells terrific and clean! Everything from floors to walls look amazing. I'm into the details, and appearance is important. The staff is great. Welcome you with a hello and smile, making you feel your business is appreciated. They also are a help with recommending brands, and types of wine if you weren't sure of what you where looking for or trying something new. The store layout and selection of products is good too. Plenty of beer and liquor brands as well as tons of wine to choose from. Very organized , with up scale classy look! What I love the most is - I was looking for an imported beer that they didn't have. They took down my contact info, ordered the beer and called me when it came in. Then you receive an email stating that the wine you want is not available but they have wine just as good, in fact, it is of inferior quality. So you request a refund. I placed an order three weeks ago and it has still yet to arrive. They sent me tracking information from some obscure carrier I've never heard of. However, the tracking info is useless. No progress information, no expected delivery date. Customer service is useless. This is my third order and it will absolutely be the last. Everytime it's the same story. I placed an order on April 5, 2021, for 1 bottle Calumet Farm Bourbon 12 Year Single Rack Black. According to "customer service", the order shipped on April 6, 2021. To date, there has been no shipping update on this order, and I am concerned it has been lost. On April 16, 2021, I contacted your "customer service" phone line (732-902-0050) at 8:45 am PDT. After explaining the order had not been received and there was no updated status from your carrier, I asked for them to investigate. Your representative basically informed me the item had shipped and there was nothing Wine Chateau could do further. I reminded her that I had paid for "Shipping Insurance (100% Protection Against Anything)" and would like a refund since the goods had not been delivered. She said that was not possible until the carrier reported something , but my intended recipient could refuse the order upon delivery and then I could ask for a refund. Of course, I reminded her that my actual problem was non-delivery, so refusal at delivery was not an option. I again reiterated I had purchase Shipping Insurance (100% Protection Against Anything) and wished to claim refund under the insurance coverage. She then told me that was not possible and after several minutes of back and forth, I told her I would simply dispute the purchase with my credit card company. Cannot speak to quality of product since it was never received, but shipping customer service is appalling. Apparently "Protection against anything" excludes everything after shipment. read more

FedEx was so late, 5 days late, in delivering the product that I missed sharing the JW King George V Lunar New Year Edition with family at Lunar New Year. How about changing to more reliable shipper like UPS. The people who works at Walgreens, where I had it shipped to, told me that FedEx is very inconsistent some day they come, some day they don't show up at all. Update: I received an email from Yelp on 4-1-2016 advising me that they removed my review of this company citing, "it was not a first hand experience" when I clearly ordered from this company online. Wine Chateau must obviously pay yelp to remove honest customer reviews that are less than favorable. Here is my original review that they removed: I ordered a bottle of wine online on 5-29-2014 and was given an estimated delivery date of June 9-10th and still have not received my order. I called & spoke to a customer service representative on 6-12-2014 at 8:55am who told me that the item was back ordered. I advised the representative that I felt that the online store should notate whether an item is not immediately available in stock & is back ordered. The representative stated I was "callous" and that the responsibility of ascertaining the availability of their stock fell upon me. When I stated I felt that it was not very good customer service & probably would not be a returning customer, the representative hung up on me. I am highly offended by this & will be leaving less than favorable reviews on every single website I can. read more

I said "I order from u because you're the only store that sells the white wine i had in Vancouver, but yr customer service reviews on Yelp are horrible". He agreed and maybe he heard me. Terrible experience with this merchant. They sent me the wrong vintage of wine that was ordered online. I immediately returned the wine and after a two week run-around they refused to honor the original pricing on the vintage that had been ordered and charged to my credit card. They only agreed to send me what I originally ordered as long as I paid an additional 25%. I tried to work out an acceptable solution with the manager, but she basically told me "too bad". They refunded my purchase price only after another follow-up (2 weeks after they received the return shipment). Bad customer service and I will never deal with them again. Unfortunate for this merchant, because I order thousands of dollars of wine each year. I have never had a merchant treat me with such disregard as the Wine Chateau did in this case. Interesting to note that this is a repost of my original YELP review (not verbatim, but the same details) which was taken down by YELP due to it "not following the guidelines." YELP apparently took it down due to pressure from the vendor. Makes me wonder about YELP's real purpose for these reviews. read more

The only negative is the shipping company does not provide tracking information in a timely manner. Told me they would promptly ship the right items. After two weeks, I called and was informed it was shipping today. Two weeks later I got a refund. I called and was informed it was another mistake and to reorder as they were certain it was a one off. To day, after waiting another week it arrived and again was wrong as before.
