A red dog with Gouda and wine-infused topping, a cold soda, and a comfy seat outside. Just right for a sunny Yakima afternoon.

I was just looking for a good hot dog. And reader, did I ever find it. The name alone caught my attention - Winey Dogs? Hot dogs with wine? I knew I had to at least try it out. I went in on a Thursday afternoon and found a nice shady outdoor seating area and a cozy interior. I was greeted warmly and asked if I needed help choosing what I wanted. I could see why - there are plenty of different ways to get a hot dog (or sausage) at Winey Dogs. The Red Dog caught my attention immediately - an all-beef dog with Gouda and wine-infused veggies. It was even better than I'd hoped, packed with savory-sweet flavor and good to the last bite. Then came the debate - that was so good, should I get another? Of course I should. For the second round I tried a Fremont - this also included Gouda, but this time came laden with bacon crumbles, ranch dressing and honey mustard, with a pickle on top. It was gloriously messy and just as delicious as the first. I walked away from Winey Dogs feeling satisfied, but sure I'll want to come back again soon. Sometimes you just want a good hot dog, and these are some of the best.

Every time I go here the food is amazing. I usually get a poocheesy or a hun on a bun. Both are remnants of a hot dog place called "Poochies" that used to be here in Yakima and I love that this restaurant can keep that alive for us. Thank you!

Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 - overall was good but there wasn't anything special about it so it felt like something anyone could create Monster Nachos were chips with chili, nacho cheese, fresh onion, tomatoes, green peppers, and jalapeños. The ingredients seem fresh as the raw onions definitely had a crisp bite. Since it was in a rectangular container, the toppings were sitting on top and the chips at the bottom were pretty bare Backyard Dog with ketchup, mustard, and sweet relish. The bread wasn't toasted and the dog didn't have any grill flavor. Ambience: N/A - ordered food to go. The shop is bright with the grill outside Service: 5/5 - friendly and communicative Value for price: 4/5 - good ingredients, friendly service, and reasonable price. What you would expect from hotdogs but nothing super unique that you must stop for

Winey Dogs is definitely a hidden gem of Yakima. I went with the Seattle Dog which tasted just like a Munchies dog for all the Cougs out there. They have a wide Friday of hotdogs, size, beverages, including local craft beer. There is ample seating inside, and a nice patio area with umbrellas outside, which makes for a perfect place to sit outside and enjoy a nice Eastern Washington afternoon. The staff was friendly, the prices for a small, and the food was excellent. Will definitely be back again. Next time I'm Kevin hot dog.

Nice owners. Vegan options. Perfect lunch stop on our trip across Washington. Will be returning.

One of the best hot dogs I've ever had. My family was very pleased with the different options and the quality of the food. Fresh squeezed lemonade was available with different flavor options. The owners were there serving up the hotdogs and they were very friendly. I'd definitely recommend the quick drive into Yakima for this stop if you'd like a great bite for a great price.

We stopped by Winey Dogs today and had a very good lunch. The hot dogs were most tasty with lots of variety. The service was excellent, the prices were good, and a very clean establishment to enjoy a great lunch. The owners were most friendly and local. I will be back for another great lunch that I highly recommend.Backyard Dog

Delicious and inexpensive! Service was fast and friendly. I tried the Currywurst and a Lavender Bubbly Water. The curry ketchup on the dog was SO GOOD! Wish I could buy a bottle to take home. Size was decent, left me satisfied but not stuffed. Honestly, I wished I had ordered a second one because I didn't want the flavors to stop. Can't wait to try some of the other options soon! The Lavender Bubbly Water was good as well. They use pump flavoring, so it adds some sugar. I found it to be at a medium sweetness level. I might do half the flavoring next time, but that's only because I'm used to unsweetened bubbly. Definitely a nice stop for lunch!

The "kuro-buta" (direct translation: black pig) pork chop was fantastic. It was the special of the day. I hope they put it on the regular menu. It was so tasty. Let's talk about this…read more. WaterFire has been our staple for date night times away from the kids. Although the previous experience has been great this time was lackluster. What was once our flavorful regular was now a dull and bland. Au jus was water with a hint of flavor, horseradish sauce was a warm water based cream with the deprived pungent horseradish taste we've all grown to love. The French dip sadly tasted better without all of its companions. Next up was the Wagyu cheeseburger, seemed to have a grainy texture to its bites, with a disappointing finish. The WF calamari was tweaked adding green olives and whole tentacles, which was weird considering it's never been that way. Honestly the best item we got was the Gorgonzola wagyu beef kabobs. These were cooked to perfection and gave us that reversion we craved. Although this was our first bad experience here, it will not deter us from returning. When I get the chance to revisit I will update this review in hopes for the better.

After letting the hostess know that we had arrived for our reservation, they let us know that they were busy and that we had to complete our meal within an a time frame. After being shown to our table, we were given menus, and then we begin to browse. We decided to get the goat cheese appetizer. This is really interesting because it came with green onions and cranberries. Overall, this dish tasted really good. It comes hot so it's best to eat it right away. We then also got the sausage and pepperoni pizza to share. The portion was a good size and it was delicious. You can tell it came straight out of the oven. For our main entrées, we got the hot sausage and veg penne pasta, as well as the Gorgonzola lemon tortellini. Both of the portions were a good size. I personally enjoyed the Gorgonzola lemon tortellini, which was tasty and very rich. My partner got the hot sausage and veg penne pasta and unfortunately it didn't hit. They said it just didn't mesh well together and needed a sauce or something to bring it together. After a meal, we were able to get some to go boxes and enjoy our leftovers the next day. We did not end up using all of the time that they had told us initially.

I really wanted to give this place 4 stars because the market is so cute, the building has amazing potential and really did like the frozen lasagna the one time I had that as a takeout item. I am open to trying again but wasn't impressed with enchiladas, burger (drowned in mayo) or especially the fish and chips. I have had better at a couple fast food places, a diner, a dive bar and food truck in the area.

I have to say that after coming here for a friends 40th birthday, this is the type of spot we would hang out! We came on a Saturday evening for karaoke which started at nine and went to the wee hours of the morning. The cuddled up to the bar and some friends played pulltabs for something like two hours. They have a decent beer selection including some local stuff and a number of pool tables and dartboards on the area opposite the karaoke. The bartenders were all very nice and took really good care of everyone here, despite it being crazy. I didn't have a chance to sample any of the food, but they had a rather extensive list of burgers and sandwiches. I think it's a sort of spot we're going to need to come back to for lunch someday! Pulltabs are definitely not my thing, but for those that enjoy them, they had something like 20 different options. A good spot to check out if you're looking for somewhere to hang or dive bar at which to do karaoke.
