Okay, that's technically three when you expand the acronym. I have had corn ribs on my mind for the last week. Skip the Dishes recently added a $15 credit to my account. I haven't ordered anything on this app for eons. I decided to use it towards dinner and my corn ribs. I ordered the following items: - No Cap's special: - A pound of honey roasted garlic - Chili onion fries - Diet Coke - Corn ribs - parmed The wings are bone-in. If you want boneless, it's an extra $1.50. I got parm on my corn ribs. Other flavours are available, which go for $2.75 each. I went with the free option. What's confusing about the Skip the Dishes app is that it says Delivered To in the status. I had ordered a takeout order. I had carefully read to show up at the store with the order code, so it was indeed a takeout order. This eatery is in a plaza with bbq Chicken that I frequent often. I found an available parking spot and backed into it. I then walked over. I saw a good four people waiting at the back of the eatery. There weren't any chairs or seats to enjoy your food, but the potential is there. It had a Santa that moved. It was a bit creepy, but kind of cool. I walked up to the counter. No one was there until a woman came out of the kitchen with two paper bags with handles of food. She was exceptionally friendly. I was rusty letting her know that I had a Skip order. She needed the last four digits of my Skip confirmation number. I rattled it off to her. One of the two paper bags with handles was indeed my order. Yay! I thanked her and wished her a great evening. She reciprocated and said to take care. So nice! I walked back to my car with dinner and drove home. I could actually walk over from home if it were warmer. It's nice that my neighbourhood has a wing place. I was looking forward to chowing down. I was hungry. I had a couple of corn ribs first. They were generously seasoned with parmesan. The corn ribs were perfectly done. I loved the natural sweetness of the corn with the parm. It came with ranch. It didn't need it. Excellent! I had the honey roasted garlic wings. I got a generous pound of them, with an equal number of drums and flats. They were meaty and so good with the sauce. Wow! The chili onion fries were amazing. The chili and onion were finely sliced and cubed, respectively. The chili provided slight heat. The onions were perfect. The fries were still crispy under the sauce. I think All Stars might've been the first chain wing franchise in toronto (even before Wild Wings but don't quote me on that). If you get breaded wings they always come out nice and crispy. The meat is pretty good (you'll get a dry one every so often) and there's a decent amount of sauce in most baskets (sometimes the chef has an off night and doesn't put enough sauce but he's pretty consistent). The wings aren't the biggest but they're decently sized. Is it the best wings I've had in toronto? Nope. That title would belong to King of Wings in Stouffville or the now defunct Fanzone Wings & Ribs in Scarborough. Both which have the biggest, meatiest, juiciest, crispiest wings I've ever had. But All Stars is always solid. As a chain, I much prefer them over Wild Wings tbh. The service can vary greatly lol. Each month, my friend and I get a different waitress and we've gotten some bad ones to some really good ones.
