Stopped in for lunch with a friend for the buffet. As far the decor is concerned, wow it's dark in here! They could use a facelift for sure. As far as the food is concerned it was just okay. I'm sure it's more authentic than most Chinese you'll find in this area. But not totally my cup of tea. There were only maybe 20 options and nothing "American". If you need a Chinese fix I would say order to go. The sweet & sour chicken was pretty good, skip the crab ragoons, egg rolls were excellent, & the broccoli chicken was good(broccoli was perfectly done). The building is scary from the outside and the decor inside is frightful, but the food here is good! The buffet is tiny, but the food is excellent! Real eggrolls, not the nasty kind with the rice paper... Real fried rice... Even egg foo young. Two adults had the buffet and the bill was less than $17. This place is way better than the Great Wall of China. Some tables were ordering off the menu, I'll have to try that next time. read more

We've been looking for a nice Chinese place in Anderson and decided to stop here and give it a shot. The pricing for the lunch buffet was very nice and affordable and they do their best to keep all of the food fresh and hot, if something isn't just let them know and they get some fresh trays out. It is a small buffet but they also have a menu you can look at for more options. The staff is very attentive which is a very nice change from other larger buffets you could go to. The inside lighting is a bit dim making the inside a bit dark but not too bad. The egg rolls are big and good, but there's chicken in the center and for me that wasn't that great. My husband and daughter and I recently ate here. The staff was friendly and the food was decent, but flavorless. Also, my daughter was in the high chair and I'm glad we aren't germophobic because it looked pretty old and kinda gross, and had no safety belt, which is concerning. We had the buffet and we thought the food was really bland. Not much flavor at all for anything, and all of the dishes tasted the same. Also, we thought it was really weird they had coffee but no creamer. They offered almond milk which is not at all the same. Not the worst Chinese food we've ever had but we won't be returning. read more

If you want a true Chinese meal that is NOT the same pre-packaged "Chinese" found in so many "Chinese" restaurants, then you must try the Wing On Inn. The Wing On Inn has been in Anderson for over 30 years, and serves true unique recipes. Hands down they have t-h-e b-e-s-t egg drop soup I've ever eaten. I finally quit trying to eat it anywhere else (and I don't even live nearby) because it simply did not measure up to the Wing On's recipe. Their egg rolls are hot crisp and fluffy, and oh my gosh.... their fried rice is one of a kind! I had not had the opportunity to dine there in 23 years and just visited with my husband. Same people, same menu, same excellent service, and same incredible unique flavor. I was literally purring with delight when I left! My husband said it was by far the best Chinese he'd ever had in his 50 years. The menu items... be prepared to take a huge portion home with you. They don't skimp on portions! Now... don't expect glitz. It's not fancy, and the building and interior are pretty worn and dated. But don't let that deter you. Finally, the price. The fact that it has hardly increased in 23 years nearly blew me away. They are charging about HALF of what the meals are worth. Definitely a must have for the Chinese food lover! read more

From the cramped dining room to the small selection of bland, tasteless slop they call food, this has been next to the worst chinese I've had the displeasure of eating, the worst going to Yummy Buffet in Muncie. Terrible fried wontons and even worse customer service. It is my first day working in Anderson, IN and I looked up the nearest Chinese food place and this one came up unfortunately. The young fella who checked me out for take out was abrupt and rude. Even acted inconvenienced by me asking for plastic ware. I tried a wonton before pulling out the parking lot and good thing I did because they were disgusting. They had a weird texture and a nasty brown filling. I have no idea what it even was. Went back in to request another side and explained that I did not like the wontons. The same guy says "well I'll tell you like this.." this is how he begins addressing my dissatisfaction..."we already fried and made them so what do you expect us to do?" "We can't take them back". I told him I'm new to town and the quality is not what I was used to. I'd never tasted wontons like that before. He refused to replace my wontons continuing to state that they were already made which is irrelevant if they are unsatisfactory. So without resolving my issue he begins to service another customer. I told him I wouldn't be returning and threw the wontons in the trash on my way out. I'll make sure to tell all my coworkers about the terrible food and service because the general gso I also ordered was mediocre at best. Don't waste your time. read more
