This was my second time in, the first being October 2024. It looks like a dive to be sure, but…read morethere are some gems if you know what you're ordering. Some of the prices can be kind of high. For instance, $18 or $19 for a dozen wings, but they are large and of very good quality. I went with the chargrilled, so you expect a little burn on them. I liked them, but the bleu cheese went a long way to balancing out the flavor of the rub. And they do offer different food and drink specials each day, so check the boards in the restaurant, since the website isn't kept very up to date. They do offer a good variety of draft beers. Not the largest amount, but they did feature some quality crafts. And I give them credit, even at 5 pm on a football Sunday, the men's room was kept pretty clean! I chatted with one of the managers for a while after she was off her shift, and we had a very nice conversation. Very personable staff and I appreciate that.

This Woody's is HUGE compared to the downtown Raleigh one. I've been here a bunch for football…read moregames, sadly, unlike its downtown cousin, it is not an Eagles bar. It also has far less signs of what you can and can't do. Also unlike downtown, there is plenty of parking. They have two levels - and while it does fill up quite a bit, I haven't had a hard time finding space, even getting there later than anticipated on Sundays for the 1PM game. The staff is friendly, they get refills out quickly, and will help you find the TV you want if it takes you a minute to find your game. The food is OK. It's the same menu as downtown, but for whatever reason I don't like it as much here. The sliders and wings are typically my go-to. I straight up did not like the cheesesteak I had here once, it was bland and kind of tough. I've hadn't tried again though, so it's possible that was a one time deal. I do see lots of people order them. They have lots of very good and very dangerous speciality shots on the menu. Their website says that as of February 2026, Woody's Sports Tavern & Grill in Cary and Morrisville have separated from the downtown location.

I'm not sure there are many better things in the world than a good, crispy piece of fried chicken…read more When I think about bb.q Chicken, I can hear the food as well. The crunch rings through my head so vividly, it is almost as if I am eating it at this moment. Now I want fried chicken again. This spot does Korean fried chicken and they do it really well. I think bb.q Chicken can get quite pricey, but the quality of the food is worth it in my eyes. If you want to save some money, I recommend going for lunch. You can have some chicken and fries for a fair price when you get their combo. Otherwise, you have plenty of options for different flavors/sauces for your either boneless or bone in wings. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with most options. I've had the pleasure of trying a bunch of different flavors and there are certainly some stand out ones that cannot go wrong. The original is no frills, straight up savory crunch. It is simplicity at its finest. I also think the soy garlic is good, it has a nice savory flavor that doesn't overwhelm your taste buds. Lastly, the Gangam Style ones have been a recent favorite of mine. Imagine a black pepper steak from a Chinese takeout, that is your flavor. Although the flavors vary between these chickens, the crunch and juiciness reigns supreme amongst all options. bb.q Chicken has other dishes and sides such as their tteokbokki, which I haven't had a chance to try. But when I am here, I already know what I want. You can't go wrong with the best thing in the world!

Grabbed lunch from here recently and enjoyed my food…read more I won't comment much on the inside of the restaurant since I was only in there for about 30 seconds, but it looked nice to me :) My to-go order was ready on time (actually, it was ready early, so I'd recommend heading over there before the estimated time if you want your food as fresh as possible) and I was excited to dig into my kimchi fried rice with an egg on top. Overall, I thought it was very tasty - not overly spicy, but it definitely had a little kick to it. My only minor complaint is that it was kind of expensive for the serving size, so I can't imagine getting it frequently, as $15 pre-tax for a small-ish lunch is a little steep for me. Still, I really enjoyed my food here and will definitely be back at some point!
