The rooms are quite tinny, with ceilings like a corporate office building. Our bed had a few stains on the bed skirt, which we looked past because that's not used when we sleep. When I went to go under the sheets, I noticed another stain. So, I called the front desk to ask for new bedding. The gentleman brought new bedding immediately and offered to make the bed, but we just undid and redid the bed ourselves. He let us know he would contact housekeeping to fully redo our bed the next day at 11am during check out time. We got back to our room late that next day at around 10pm, and our room was a we left it with no new bedding. But it was okay because we got new bedding the night before. But it would've been a kind gesture because of the stains on our bed. The mattress isn't bad in my opinion, we've slept well. The AC does not work, nor does the heater. But they provide heaters and fans upon request. The window doesn't open, so no fresh air. After one day, our room started to smell like cigarettes, which then led into our towels. I think that's mostly just the crowd that stays here. The sink is clogged and doesn't drain properly, but the water gets super hot which is nice. They do provide complimentary breakfast, but it was just some bagels and pastries and cereal. The milk tasted rotten. I always try to see the positive in the negative, so I always give grace. I wouldn't tell you to absolutely not stay here, but just have low expectations. The staff being nice is what makes the stay not so bad. Plus I maybe there isn't much more to expect from a small town. I would say it is very expensive for what it is.

My room was 79 to 80 degrees, and there were no windows to open to allow cool air to enter. When I asked the front desk clerk about this, she said the chiller/boiler was on heat and she could do nothing about it. She said she would try to find a fan for the room, so I asked to see the manager. She informed me they were on vacation. The chiller/boiler was on heat, and she could do nothing about it. I told her I wanted to check out because the room was unsatisfactory, and I wanted a refund of the charge for the room. She explained she could not issue a refund; only the manager could. After several hours of calling "HOTEL*BOOK ONLINE and my credit card company, I was issued a refund minus the fee that the booking company takes and a cancellation fee of one night's stay. This was not acceptable but may have been the best at the time. Check the weather before you book as the Chiller/Boiler can only do one thing at a time. Provide heat or cool air not both. I would not stay here.

It took like 15 minutes to kill the cockroach with a shoe! In the evening there was two smaller cockroaches in the room! The next day I tried to ask if the problem was in the whole hotel and if changing a room would help, but all I got was a lousy answer that you shouldn't keep the windows open, because those fly inside! I hadn't kept the windows opened as there was a working air-conditioning in the room, and I saw all of the cockroaches coming from the bathroom... In four days there were five cockroaches in the room, one was lying dead on the toilet and the housekeeper hadn't even cleaned that away, only put a new toilet paper roll next to it!!! For the room rate would have expected higher quality of cleanliness as well: a huge tangle of hair on the floor, smaller one in the bathtub, bathroom trashcan had not been emptied, trash on the floor, and some white dirt on the bedside table, do not even want to think of what bodily fluid that might have been... There was a very strong smell of mold in the bathroom, which also came to the room even if the bathroom door was kept closed, and the smell caused nausea all the time when in the hotel room! Besides the cockroaches also a couple of small brown beetles was found in the bed, wonder if these were bed bugs, never seen one before though... The same small brown beetle was found also in my bag at home, so now I'm washing and freezing everything I had with me at the hotel in case of those happen to were bed bugs... The view of the roof-top restaurant counterbalanced the low quality of the breakfast food, although it seemed first that there were plenty to choose from. Like how difficult it is to pick the rotten fruits away from the bowl, or prevent the flies going to the fruit salad... Also the slices of cheese seemed to sweat so I decided not to touch any cold cuts to avoid possible stomach problems. That amount of cockroaches in the room I didn't even want to try the hotel restaurant... One evening I also smelled cicarrette on the corridor, and wondered if it was aloud to smoke in the rooms, but that didn't come to the room luckily! Central location of the hotel was great, wifi worked in the room, there was plenty of warm water in shower after letting the water run for 5 minutes first and air-conditioning worked perfectly. Didn't feel welcomed at all when arrived at hotel and didn' t experience much of friendliness or helpfulness of the receptionists during my stay, which I however read in other comments left here in Tripadvisor. All in all, the most nastiest hotel experience ever, even though I have traveled a lot, also in developing world, and used to basic conditions. Cleanliness is something I value and with much higher quality of cleanliness and no living creatures in the room I would have been somewhat satisfied of my stay.

I told her that the website says nothing about no cats, only pet friendly! I was able to find a room 45 minutes away that was really pet friendly. I booked this hotel on Expedia and they did contact the hotel and I was fully reimbursed thanks to the staff at Expedia. My real complaint was the totally callous lady at the desk, I tried to ask if she knew anywhere else I could try and she just didn't care and wanted us to leave. This lady should not be in customer service because she has no skills when dealing with other people and we know she really doesn't"t like cats. I would also add that now their website says dogs only. This was because of my incident.
