We were exploring Uxbridge market up the street and decided to grab a quick brunch before heading…read morehome. Due to the heavy rain, their patio seating was closed and they had only indoor seating. This meant they didn't have tables when we came in, so we ordered take out. Luckily, a couple left and they asked if we'd like to sit in instead. Even as we waited, they offered us some coffee to warm up, on them. So incredibly sweet! We ordered the peameal benny, which was really delicious. Loved the bread they used for it. It tasted so good and just...homemade! The eggs were perfectly yolky, too. The potatoes on the were just the most perfectly fried with the crisp exterior and fluffy insides. It was seasoned well too! Loved it. We also got the crab cake benny which was amazing. The crab cakes are really just packed crab meat, no random filler ingredients or doughy bits. Just straight crab, seasoned nicely. Eggs again were perfection and so were the potatoes. My only negative with this one was the bed of carrot/radish pickles under the crabcakes. It's the asian style, but I think they forgot sugar in the brine. It was straight vinegar and I couldn't eat it. I really love pickles but this was so acidic. Overall a highly enjoyable brunch. Bit pricey but it's nice for a special date day. I'm excited to come back to try their other menu items or dinner next. Grateful for the friendly service!

The produce is fresh and flavorful, but poorly utilized. The prices are high, the service is merely acceptable, and the ambiance feels sterile. Every dish I had was a disappointment, not because any were bad, but because they come close to good before settling into mediocrity. Zucchini Fries Easily the best thing I had during my visit. The zucchini is fresh and juicy. The breading could be better, but the whipped ricotta dip with sumac elevated each bite. Thai Crab Salad A letdown of epic proportions. It lacked acidity, spiciness, or any discernible flavor. The saving grace of this dish was at least a generous serving of crab. Perch A failed attempt at a dish. The assembly of the garnishments was confusing, leading to a messy plate where I had to dig around to sample the veggies. The jasmine rice was fine, but I think a brown rice would've served better. Everything was underseasoned. Stir Fry This was good in the way a frozen meal is good. Salty, meaty, but not much else. I would dislike this more if it weren't fairly priced.

It was all delicious! My friends had the Double Smashed Burger, Bison Mac Pizza, Jerk Chicken Pizza, and Beef Tip Rigatoni. I had the Butter Chicken. Everything was really good, with generous portions that resulted in a couple of takeout containers. Beverages included a flight of beer, ciders, and more, all brewed on site. Refreshing. Following our delicious meal, we were treated to a sampling of smoked meats and sides from their smokehouse trailer. As full as we were, we really enjoyed this. It was all good! If you're unfamiliar with Slabtown, you'll have to check them out. They have a huge patio, with covered areas in case of poor weather, wide open spaces, excellent food, ciders and beer made on site, and just a really nice vibe.

I met up with friends at Slabtown Cider last Saturday to celebrate our birthdays. We were a group of six. We made a reservation, which put our minds at ease. There was apparently a two-hour dining limit. We stayed longer, so it's more of a guideline. I have been to downtown Uxbridge. This eatery is in the middle of nowhere, but it's so beautiful when you arrive. There's lots of greenery. The open air was nice. There are apple orchards. It's a charming place. We had a 4:30 pm reservation. I got here at around 4:15 pm. Most parking spots were taken in the main area. Luckily, there was extra parking further back. I managed to find a decent parking spot and backed into it. Mosquitoes love me. I put on my NATPAK patches to ward them off. I love them so much because they work. I reckon that we were here for three hours. I escaped without a single bite. Yay! Two of my friends were out in the patio area. I went to join them. There was a wedding party outdoors. The only downside was having a female staffer tell me that this area was for a private event and I had to go around. As someone who was trying to figure things out for the first time, it was helpful. However, it was her tone that had a tinge of annoyance that I didn't appreciate. It was my first time figuring out where everything was. Cut me some slack. They were in front of the barbeque area. It smelled so good. We relaxed a bit and chatted before we headed to our table that was outside, but under a canopy. The rest of my friends filed in. Two of them have been here a bunch of times. One of them suggested that I take a look at the brewery. It was cool seeing it. We were led to our table. It was spacious and comfortable. We got menus. There was live music. Our table ordered these items (my items have a * after them): Drinks: - Raspberry tea * - Pineapple mimosa - Honey habanero - Beer flight: - Mexican - Blonde ale - Hazy IPA - Scottish ale Mains: - Beef tip rigatoni * - Butter chicken - Double smashed burger with fries - Bison mac pizza - Jerk chicken pizza (2) We got water to start. It was cold and refreshing. My raspberry tea came out next. It's a hard cider where tart raspberries meet earl grey tea. It was fabulous. It was slightly sweet, which was perfect on a warm summery evening. The beef tip rigatoni was excellent. The beef tips were tender and seared nicely. The rigatoni was al dente and fun to eat. It had mixed mushrooms, which I adored. The broth was mushrooms. I could taste roasted garlic. It was divine. The fries are yummy here. Everyone loved their food. The chefs knew one of my friends. They were kind to come out and wish us a happy birthday. They were so generous to offer barbequed proteins with sides to celebrate our special month. I was stuffed. I didn't know if I could shovel more food in me. Luckily, it did take some time to prepare our goodies, so it helped with my digestion. We got an assortment of ribs, brisket, and tender meat on sticks. I didn't know what meat was on the stick, but it was delicious and so easy to enjoy. The ribs had the best barbeque sauce. The rib that I devoured was tender, tangy, and yummy. The only downside to this assortment was the brisket. It was dry and we didn't have any drinks with us. I actually had to rely on eating the ribs with the barbeque sauce with the brisket. We got cornbread, corn salad, and mac and cheese as sides. All three were solid. You could see the corn kernels and carrot in the cornbread. It was yummy and so fluffy. I loved it. The corn salad was excellent. It was like eating elote, but without the corn on the cob. I loved the mac and cheese. The elbow macaroni was perfect, as was the cheese sauce. I used the washroom between our dinner and barbeque. The women's washroom has three stalls. The woman in front of me didn't realize that the middle stall was available. She waited for her friend to come out of the stall on the right. I used the middle stall. Clean. Spacious. No issues. We waddled over to the apple orchard to take photos. A friend gifted me a Grogu plushie. We went to town taking photos of Grogu with food and apples. It was a memorable, wonderful time with friends, good eats and drinks, in a picturesque setting. I'd come back again for more yumminess. (322)

I understand the corona virus has placed most or all of restaurants on take out only and I walked in fully understanding this. I walked in at 10am wanting to grab some lunch menu items as I am truck driver who is constantly alone in a cab never around anyone who is very low risk. Also, I am virus free. I ordered a teen burger combo and a cod sandwich to go but I was refused to sit down for the 10 f*cking minute wait. I was told a bullshit lie saying that's it a $25,000 fine for A&W to allow me to wait. I can only think of these poor senior citizens who have difficulty walking coming in to get an order. Are you going to make them stand??? Shame on you. ABSOLUTELY DEPLORABLE!!!! Nadine telling me it's the law.....what a crock of shit!! If it was the law we would of heard about it or you would post signs all over the restaurant saying so. I also asked for a straw for my soft drink and was told that "A&W" is handing out coffee lids instead of straws to reduce contamination. In what mind do you think that handing out coffee lids reduce contamination over straws??? The straw are pre-wrapped in paper. The lids are not and exposed to the air.
