The portion sizes are incredibly generous, and everything was plated beautifully, making it perfect for photos . The service was friendly and the atmosphere was lively. The patio is great for people-watching, and the staff even brought out a cake with a sparkler for a birthday at a nearby table . Highly recommend for a celebration or a fun meal with friends!

Was seated in their dinning hall ( the other side is more of a bar) and ordered a brunch tower for two. The tower includes their signature malaysian scrambled eggs, chorizo sausage, bacon, Brussel sprouts, toast with buttermilk pancakes stacked at top of the tower. The tower was beautifully presented and what I love most about the tower is their pancakes. Truly fluffy and light with whipped cream on top of it. Overall, service was efficient and attentive, often checked on and refilling water. On top of that, the restaurant has great decor and parking is provided in the back of the restaurant. Its considered on a slightly higher end for brunch ($20-30 range), but it was truly an amazing experience. They also have daily promos so worth checking out for dinner and late night deals.

Delicious whether you need gluten free or not!…read more We have food sensitivities and need to eat gluten free. Along with GF needs, we have to avoid all corn products, so finding a restaurant option while traveling can be challenging. The best places will talk to you about their ingredients and prep so that you feel comfortable. These guys were amazing! Rouge Kitchen's entire menu is GF and had things I've never seen before like GF poutine and fish & chips! They spent a ton of time with us finding something we could eat, and even adjusted a couple items to remove corn starch! Probably the best meal we had while in Toronto for 4 days! Highly recommended!

Fish Friday!!! Finally got a picture to post for this wonderful business!…read more To end the week off, we ordered fish and chips from Rouge Kitchen. They use haddock and the batter is the crunchy and fluffy kind. The chips are also delicious fresh out of the fryer. We ordered 2 pcs of fish which came to just over $20. The beautifully battered fish and freshly cut chips are served with a small side of coleslaw (not the creamy kind) and a store made tartar sauce. Their tartar sauce is quite possibly my most favorite tartar sauce in the entire galaxy! The owner is always generous enough to pack an extra container at no extra charge when I tell her how much i love her tartar sauce. Since we're still under the pandemic restriction, you have to call your order in and you'll be given a time slot for pick up. If you're in the mood for fish and chips (only served on fridays), be sure to call in your order early as they do sell out fast!

I had flagged this eatery for a while. It was nice to drop by at long last and do a return visit, too. Mamajoun is roughly one block west of Warden Avenue, on the south side of Ellesmere Road. I had no problem finding a parking spot in the plaza. I backed into a spot practically in front of the main entrance and walked in. I was warmly greeted by Mihran, who owns the eatery with his wife. He was so welcoming and took the time to chat with me. I have had a papajoun wrap in the past, which is a flatbread with ground beef, onions, garlic, and red pepper paste. He let me know that his dough recipe came from his grandfather, which makes the dough so light and malleable. I had traditional Armenian toppings in my wrap, such as tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, and pickled turnips. If you are getting your wraps to go, he carefully packages them such that they still remain hot and toasty for thirty minutes. I ended up driving back to Markham and enjoying my wrap in downtown Markham. It was warm and yummy. When I first walked into the eatery, I was looking at bags of mante. I smelled the bag and it automatically made me hungry. He enjoys serving several beef mante in chicken broth, with tomato sauce and yogurt. He let me know that the chicken stock in bottles at the nearby Costco was what he used and they were of high quality. Good to know! I ended up getting some tomato dill soup from Farm Boy and put my mante in them. It was amazing! His instructions to bake them in the oven at 400°F for five to eight minutes and place them in soup is amazing. I asked if folks simply popped mante in their mouths like popcorn. He said that it was a perfectly acceptable way to enjoy them. The pack of zaatar that I picked up was excellent. Mihran said that I could freeze them. When I wanted one, just take one out of the freezer and let it thaw for fifteen minutes. Each zaatar tastes so fresh and yummy. I paid for my items both times with a credit card. This place does not accept American Express. I feel that most businesses don't these days. I thanked him for all his help and taking the time to speak with me. He said that the feeling was mutual, which was nice. Everything that I have eaten at this place has been flavourful and delicious. I'm a fan. Great food. Great owner. No complaints. (201)
