My family got it for the first time, accidentally ordered a lot of food at a busy time (6:30 pm on a Monday) so the wait was like 30 minutes in the drive thru. (If you're unfamiliar, where they give the food is at the black screen door like 10 feet away from the speaker) But the service from the lady who took our order was great still. She is sweet. The carne asada fries were absolutely worth the wait, i believe it normally comes with guac, but we ordered it on the side. The fries were CRISP. I'm telling you. And they were loaded. Horchata was bomb, hard to go wrong with that. The cups are a sturdy plastic so plus. OH let me tell you about the salsa!!!! I could drink their green salsa. I did. You can tell they make it themselves, as well as the horchata. Fish burrito is solid, though the chorizo torta we had wasn't the best. BEAN AND CHEESE IS GREAT. It almost has a sweeter taste than the other bean and cheese burritos I've had. Really enjoyable. Twust me. Bean and cheese is usually my go-to so I've had a good amount of em in my life. But this time I ordered 2 pollo soft tacos but i got hard shells that had mashed potatoes i think, idk the name. They may have heard us wrong, the speaker in the drive thru is a little old. Unless that is their chicken soft tacos.. but still ate it, i enjoyed it. I DONT KNOW WHAT I ATE THOUGH LOL Fries made up for it and extra. 5 stars for the fries! Definitely their specialty. Get them! Will be going back for those.

My son went to this restaurant the other day to get us food. I actually opted to try something different instead of my usual carne asada burrito with cheese and guacamole. This time I got the carne asada fries with cheese, sour cream and guacamole. First off, the order is HUGE. The fries, which are crinkle cut (the best) are deep fried and crispy. That step definitely enhances the plate, because your not eating soggy fries. They hold up against the weight of everything else. It's A LOT of food. Super delicious and I highly recommend. Please support this local business. They are super friendly, recognize a repeat customer and deliver some of the best Mexican food in East County.

As a first time customer, I have to say the service was great and the food was phenomenal! I love that the location is only 5 minutes away from my house. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the items from their menu. Today I had 2 fish tacos and they were delicious! It is the little things that matter to me. For instance they gave an extra tortilla. Loved that because I always have food that fall off the taco so now with the extra tortilla I can eat it all. Great job team! I highly recommend this place!

I went here back on Friday and ordered 2 bean and cheese burritos and an order of chicken tenders. We had leftovers because it was a lot of food. I was on the last half of one of my bean and cheese burritos and found a bug of some sort in my burrito. I wish I could give them no stars. I will never eat here again, and always tell people to run far away from this place

Unfortunately, I've found that this place has taken a turn for the worst. My boyfriend and I usually enjoy our experiences here, but our visit yesterday had us so disappointed. We ordered two, two fish tacos. We waited in the drive thru 26 minutes to receive a pool of poorly mixed sour cream and cold fish... even the tortillas seemed dry and unappealing. When comparing my original photos you can notice the difference in quality.

Cali burrito is a classic, and this place did it justice Succulent meat, crispy fries, and a tasteful ratio of ingredients. Place feels like a house converted to a kitchen posted in the middle of a plaza which somehow enhanced the experience. The customer service was great too defo hit this place one time if you're in the area.

"Cali burrito" a lot of carne asada, barely any french fries, no pico, guac and splattered sour cream...

Located in East County this place is a Hidden Gem. Don't let the looks of the place deceive you because it does look like a dive especially since it's located right next to the Coo Coo club bar which is a dive bar. It's got a menu like your typical Taco Shop but it also serves hot wings and spare ribs. Now I didn't order any of the Mexican food but I do have to say I did order the Chipotle fries with medium Heat and it was so delicious. The next time I go I'll have to add a picture of these Chipotle fries they have a regular size for like 5 bucks but the large which I got is about $9 and it's huge portions. . If you ever craving wings or buffalo-style chicken strips on fries and happen to be in East County I highly suggest you swing by this place and try it you'd be totally surprised read more

This place is my favorite to go to. My wife and I live down the street and we are regulars! (Mainly me) The owners are very friendly and they make AMAZING food. Don't be turned off by the name, because that's all it is. The food is one of the best I've had here in San Diego. I recommend the wings combo. The wings are cooked perfectly and the fries are SO GOOD! I recently had the breakfast burrito as well, DELICIOUS! read more

This is our go to Mexican restaurant. My husband, son and daughter love their fish burrito. They love the sauce on it too. I've tried many different things and they have all been great. I keep coming back to the chicken soft tacos. Everything is SO delicious and a great price. They remember us when we call to place an order. Very nice people and well worth your money!!! I love this place. Moved to Washington a while back and was missing them the entire year I was gone. I thought about their Chipotle Fries with Medium buffalo sauce on a weekly basis as well as their Crispy chicken salad with medium buffalo sauce. Now I'm drooling. I'm finally back in San Diego for a summer visit and headed there now, for the second time this week. I really do enjoy there food and portion sizes. I personally think that their chipotle fries are better than any other place I've been and you can order them in other flavors than the buffalo, for example you can try bbq sauce instead, etc... I did order a burger and fries one time as well, since they do have a large variety of different items from wings to Mexican to burgers and fries, the burger was a great price with a ton of fries. Anyway, if you have a chance to visit this awesome little "hole in the wall", give them a try. read more

Carne Asada chips so good we love to walk the dog down here close to home and get a quick dinner the ladies, girls, cooks are so nice eat up and enjoy! ALSO added a hot wings menu, but haven't tried that, yet. Will do soon. So I stopped into this spot for the first time last night upon recommendations from people who said their food was great. I'm a native born San diegan and I'm picky about my Mexican food... gotta say this place exceeded my expectations. I ordered the mini tacos, carne asada and carnitas. Both were delicious! Also the Salsa bar had great options. The salsa verde was probably the best I've had in a mom and pop shop ever. Can't wait to go back and try other things since they have such an extensive menu. I highly recommend checking this place out. read more

I've lived in East County my entire life and I drive by Wings Mix everyday but it wasn't until I was surfing yelp this past Thursday and noticed the reviews that I decided to try it. I went last night and got an assortment to try out from Carne Asada burrito, rolled tacos w guac, soft ques, shredded beef taco and of course tried the boneless chicken tenders with "hot" buffalo sauce. EVERYTHING we got was great. We ate it there and the they have a little salsa bar and they bring you chips. Probably one of the best Carne asada burritos I've had and I eat a lot of Mexican food. Food was so great we went back tonight. I highly recommend stopping in and trying it out!!! read more

Awesome little place!! All the food is good! I probably eat there 2-3 times a week. Breakfast burritos and wings are my go to. If I had one suggestion, it would be just a request to add a Honey Garlic or Garlic Parmesan as a wing flavor or both! You guys rock, keep making good food read more

I met Jamie the owner and she is as sweet as can be. I was on a diet but now I am hooked on the food so good luck with that now. I have been twice and both times the food is excellent. The first time I got the machaca burrito for breakfast. Let me say this is the best I have had in San Diego and I have had alot of different burritos but I cant wait to eat breakfast there again. Last night my friend and I went for dinner, he ordered the adobada street tacos and I ordered the carne asada chips. Both were so delicious, highly recommend this place to everyone. read more

the wings here are Fantastic the wing sauce is a strong southern east coast sauce. friendly service food service rating is an A. Friendly Service. and Great Taco's and Burrito"s are great as well. they serve a host of Great foods. I recently visited this restaurant and ordered the carnitas tacos and the lemon pepper chicken wings. I must say, I was blown away by the taste and quality of the food.
