To be very clear on this, I'm a fan of this restaurant. I love ordering here when it comes to their Chipotle Buffalo Fries that are above Mild in spicy flavor, and when it comes to the ordering online they've been consistently delivering.... Until recently. The last few orders I've had with this restaurant has switched out for items of 'equivalent value' with no warning on my end. What really prompted this particular review was one such instance where I had ordered Shrimp Tacos for my grandmother, and I usually order the 'Empire Hot' flavor for my Chipotle Buffalo Fries... I was surprised when my flavor was lowered, and that the replacement item for the Shrimp Tacos, was the Shrimp Buffalo Fries. My grandmother has a good spice tolerance, and immediately ejected the shrimp she tried from that meal item... When tasting it myself, it turned out it was the 'Empire Hot' level! That's a fairly massive mistake and would've led to issues right there if my grandmother kept eating that item! So I highly encourage the restaurant to make better efforts in updating their delivery platforms for when they're out of items, and attempt to give disclosure for items replacement and other options. If you enjoy horrible customer service, soggy fries, AND dead bugs attached to your utensils, this is the perfect spot for you! The cashier with the glasses taking our order looked so clueless. She kept staring at us like a deer in headlights and it made our experience awkward and uncomfortable to begin with. My boyfriend and I just looked at each other like "can you believe this right now?" If it wasn't for my boyfriend, I would have just turned around right then and there. Next, as we're waiting for our order of buffalo fries, I went to grab us some plastic utensils. The place was a mess, the bins were overstuffed with forks/knives and it was very unorganized and disorderly. The one knife I happened to grab out of the bin had a DEAD BUG'S WING stuck on it. I always have a good experience when I come to this location. I always phone in and place an order prior and go pick my food up and pay there so it reduces the wait time. The food is cooked right and tastes good like they should be and they've never got my order wrong. The cooks do a good job on their part. The best part was the level of customer service. The sweet latina gal there, who we recognize each other, always take care of me well and she always have an amazing smile and great attitude while taking orders or just talking to customers. I was there a few times several weeks ago and have not seen her since my previous visits but the young guy at the cash register was friendly and professional & provides a great service for me too. He was a pretty cool guy but I went again today and he wasn't there; it was the girl with the sweet smile again. I was happy and glad to see her back. I thought she was done & gone for good (onto a different job) but she's back. I'd go there everyday just to see her beautiful smile that lights up even the cloudiest days... I was simply disgusted by the food at Wings Empire! The Buffalo Chicken Fries were nothing special, the mac n cheese was flavorless, watery and tasted like it came from a box. The bread was soft but lacked any flavor at all. The $14.99 quarter rack of ribs was burned like jerky with a giant glob of barbecue sauce to hide the tiny excuse for a rib!!! My Grandma lives real close to this eatery. They used to sell just tortas, but my Grandma noticed that the business name had changed. Turns out it is the same owners, different menu. Mom, Grandma and I decided to order the 1/2 rack rib, 10 chicken strips, and 6 bread sticks along with a side of potato salad, side of french fries, and three 20 oz. sodas. The total bill was only $33. The menu is worded kind of strange and we didn't realize that the combo already came with french fries, so we wasted $3.29 on that. If we had decided to take the meal home, we would not have ordered sodas, and the total bill would have been about $21 which I think is a great price for how full we got. It was a perfect amount of food for three women. The fries were great, the sauce on the chicken strips was so-so (I, for some reason, was expecting breaded chicken strips) and my mom said the ribs were fantastic - not too much fat. There was a lot of sauce on the ribs.
