I went to Wienerschnitzel and honestly it was a solid quick stop they got that $6 deal with chili dogs and chili cheese fries, I upgraded to the all beef dogs for like $1.20 each and yeah totally worth it. The chili cheese dog, fries were loaded with chilli , no complaints. Drive-thru was fast, customer service was on point, and inside was actually really clean with plenty of parking. Pro tip :I always ask for my hot dog grilled extra so it gets that little char on it takes a bit longer but that flavor hits different. They got other deals too like the Sunday specials and a Chicago dog lemonade and other menu items for $2.50 which isn't bad at all, but this combo I got was the move. Wienerschnitzel always been a classic, if you haven't tried it at least once you should. Easy five stars for me my personal favorite also too is just a classic corn dog not many places. Can you purchase a corn dog now that tastes good? The dessert at Wienerschnitzel is surprisingly really good. They use Taste E Freeze which is a soft serve ice cream. I always get their dipped cones and the flavors change often. This month they had a blue raspberry dipped cone. I enjoyed this and my son always get oreo freezees. This is a soft serve cup mixed in with oreos. The Reeses freezee is my favorite one. read more

The 'Schnitz as I've called it just hasn't been the same. In 2010 they made what may have been the biggest mistake of their entire career. The Sea Dog. Not introducing it, but getting rid of it. The SeaDog was the backbone of the 'Schnitz. It was the tastiest, best item in the menu. It was big, fishy, and fit nicely between the buns, with a healthy amount of white sauce to go along with it. Getting rid of the SeaDog and assuming you're going to remain popular, is akin to assuming a TV personality (an especially dull one) would make a good leader in the political realm. Which I guess to say is one hell of an American trait, despite being Der Wienerschnitzel. Anyway. I still adore the Wiener. I'm a huge fan of it. I visit rarely, but when I'm looking for an especially cheap and filling meal, one that feels mildly illegal. Unfortunately the meat isn't quite the same. The girth isn't what it used to be. It doesn't cause me to flinch when I put it in my hands and prepare the bun for a feast. But that's okay, as I age, I recognize that I might do better with smaller meat. It's less painful on the gut, especially after I'm attempting to relax after an indulging experience. Look at the photo of the Junkyard Dog. It's tasty AF. The right amount of chilli and that nacho cheese. Aw yeah. Them fries, good crunch but you have to eat it while it's hot. Their drive thru service is super quick. Never a long line. Did I mention that The 'Schnitz is cheap AF? My only hope is what then the Del Taco shows up it doesn't drive them away. My life goal would be to campaign for the 'Schniz to bring back The SeaDog, but in the mean time, the Junkyard Dog will do just fine. Genuinely happy to see you at the drive through. I order the Texas hot dog and it was really good. For the price I was expecting a small dog with so so toppings. What I got was a great dog with excellent snap, covered in toppings without making a mess. The onions were fresh and the bun was perfect. Went for BREAKFAST on Sunday morning. Yes they serve BREAKFAST everyday. It is like a secret in South Bay. The country breakfast was just fantastic and the service was great. This was a really neat hotdog joint but I'll tell you the most amazing part about it. My wife doesn't eat fast food she's vegetables she's real chicken. Nothing processed she's pretty she's pretty healthy. Bought a cold drink to top of this excellent dinner. Can't go wrong eating these hotdogs. Nice location in Imperial beach. You can dine in here. Parking is plenty.
