Husband had wanted to try this place for a while it's nearby us so we finally did tonight. Service was horrible. Husband ordered himself a beer and mashed potatoes for baby to come out first since she was fussy. Never came out. He finally asked where his beer was and was told "it must not have gone through" so he ended up getting it well after we received our dinner. Mashed potato's were inedible but I don't fault them for that it's a wing place. However I asked the waiter what drinks came with the kids meal for our older daughter and she mentioned strawberry lemonade so we ordered it. Ended up charging us $7 for a 6 year old to drink one cup of lemonade... even tho kids menu mentions it includes a drink.... They don't print the receipt til after you pay so even though we tried to double check the little tablet thing they have it is so small and can't see the whole bill so we didn't realize til after we paid. Anyways 2 stars because the wing sauce is really good, but the wings themselves are veerrrry small. Fries and tots were good too. TLDR: We spent more time waiting for the 1/4 full restaurant than actually eating the food. Quick stop on a Sunday afternoon had us swing by here on the way to a friend's house. Although we were promptly greeted and seated, it seemed like the server was thrown off when we were ready to order immediately. So, within 5 minutes of walking in the restaurant we were able to place our order. However, despite there only being 6 of about 20 tables occupied, it took 18-20 minutes to get our food. The staff was very friendly, but the service was extremely slow, Especially when they only had a few occupied tables. The decor and restaurant seem to have a great vibe if we hadn't gone for lunch. I do take out from here. It's one of my go-to comfort food places. Mozz sticks and wings, you can't go wrong. Plus, they're open late. I like that the wings are well sauced and that the flavor gets into the meat. A lot of places it just feels like the sauce is surface level, so they do something right with the toss. They give celery and carrots with the take-out orders too which is great. The menu has a ton of sauces for the wings and then the dips. So we have been ordering their wings for a while now because they are amazing. But finally all 4 of us went on Friday evening to actually sit and eat and drink there. Inside its a regular sports bar but it has lots of seating areas. The service was incredible. We really enjoyed our dinner at WOF. Our sever, Brooke, answered all our first-timer questions and made good recommendations about the several sauces and seasonings they offer. She also kept my drink filled, which is something that matters to me. Their onion rings were really good. We like the lightly breaded ones and these were some of the best we've had in the area. We had the sweet BBQ wings, and on Brooke's suggestion, I tried the Texas Heat with lemon pepper rub which I liked a lot. It wasn't crowded at all on a Sunday evening. After I signed my receipt she handed my bag back to me and walked away :(. I struggled to get to the door and to open it, then get to my car. Many other employees were standing there watching me. I gave a 20% tip when I ordered online. When I signed the receipt there was a spot for additional tip, I did not put an additional tip (so glad I didn't). Didn't even know this place existed until I drove by today. I guess the hot air ballon caught my attention. Decided to stop in on way home & had a few adult beverages & took 30 wings home. I've been eating chicken wings for almost 35 years, and I've always said the key to a great chicken wing is a "great chicken wing". These wings appear to be completely thawed (no purple broken bones). They're also NOT chewy. The original Anchor Bar in Buffalo has "never frozen" wings--maybe these have never been frozen?? I saw other posts complaining about size. These are huge. I'm 6ft 220 and used my pinky as reference. (Other posts complained about them being too small) The actual restaurant is much bigger than appears from the outside. Also very tastefully done. I would turn up the music a bit and have more sports variety on the multiple TV's - but maybe they are looking for more of a family vibe. Robots - yes they have robots. Not sure how this will ultimately work out. Kids will like, but they seem to move way too slow if they ever are packed & super busy. Finally. A G-search lead us to a description of Wings Over Frisco and we were impressed with the broad selection of sauces and the option for bone-in or bone-out. Let's go! First impressions were great. Service was friendly and they took the time to tell us about the business when we asked. The restaurant was impeccably clean and gave the impression of a professionally designed franchise focused on success. We both ordered the 10-piece bone-in wings and I added a side of fries. The food came out hot and we were both amazed at the size of the wings. There are no scrawny chickens found here. Each flat and drumstick was oversized compared to the usual big name wings chains, providing a very meaty meal that was both hot and juicy. They were cooked perfectly. My selections of Cajun dry rub and Carolina Smoke sauced wings were both delicious and were accompanied by carrot and celery sticks with ranch dipping sauce. While the exceptional wings were clearly the main event, those fries I mentioned were also above the average, fried nice and crispy and well seasoned. Let it be known, there is a new serious contender for the best wings in town, and I don't say this lightly given that I live almost a half hour away. We dined at the new Wings Over Frisco, and while the experience had its ups and downs, it left me with positive feelings. First, let's talk about the star of the show: the wings. They were cooked to perfection, large, and had a great texture. However, I was disappointed that they lacked the bold flavors I was expecting from a place specializing in buffalo wings. They could definitely use a flavor boost. We had the buffalo ranch and the Cajun, both of which needed more dry seasoning. The fries, on the other hand, were a letdown. They were chewy and not as crispy as I'd like them to be, which was a missed opportunity considering how well the wings were cooked. My son ordered the orange chicken, which to be honest was a bit of a surprise to see on a sports bar menu, but why not, right? He said the chicken was tender and juicy, but the vegetables were very mushy (they seem to be a frozen product which was over microwaved). The ranch dressing was fine, the bleu cheese dressing was on the milder side in regard to bleu cheese taste. The ambiance of the restaurant was a plus. It felt clean and had a trendy vibe, making it a comfortable place to watch a game on their many TVs or enjoy a meal with friends. The clean restrooms were a welcome sight. They also have food delivery robots like you might seen in a sushi restaurant. Huge plus for kids, a fun novelty for adults. Our server was friendly and overall did a good job, but it was evident that he was still very new and not very familiar with the menu. This became apparent when he wasn't able to answer a few questions about the menu. Also, I ordered a second drink that never arrived. After about 15 minutes, I had to inquire about it, and I was informed that the bartenders had forgotten to make it. While it was promptly fixed, the delay was a bit of a buzzkill. As for the prices, they were about what you'd expect at a sports bar, so nothing too outrageous. However, if you sign up for their online mailing 'VIP' list, they'll give you a free dessert, so that's a great reason to sign up. I think this place has great potential, but there are some areas that need improvement, particularly in the flavor department for their wings and the overall efficiency of their service. I think that these are likely just growing pains of opening a new business and if they can address these issues, it could become a solid spot for wing enthusiasts and sports fans alike. I feel like this was a 3.5 star experience which rounds up to 4 stars in my book!
