Pretty solid experience overall. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was clean, the food was good, and while nothing made me dramatically reconsider my life choices in a "this is the best meal I've ever had" kind of way, I definitely enjoyed it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The host seemed a little distracted or maybe just fighting for survival during the dinner rush, but nothing alarming. Our server was super friendly and doing the work of approximately three humans, so props to them for keeping the ship afloat. Once very good, then the pits, now IT'S BACK. We came soon after this place opened and it was a solid, good place to eat. Clean, quality food and good service. Then somebody bought the place and down it went. Lost many customers. Got bad. Some weird menu items. Don't know when the current owners bought this place but they've turned it around and now it's worth going to again. Just had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy. Really good. My wife had the barbecue chicken wrap. Outstanding. Fries are very tasty. Iced tea is good and fresh (doesn't taste like it was made a week ago). We plan on making this a regular stop. read more

The Community Grill is our family's absolute favorite place to eat! The wings are unmatched - crispy and full of flavor! The carribean jerk are my favorite although I also love to dip the plain wings in some buffalo sauce! You will not find a better staff than the one here. I would definitely recommend The Community Grill. We had a group of 32 people traveling in from out of town and the staff did an outstanding job accommodating us. Chris helped us with our reservation and she was fantastic. It's not easy to serve a group as large as ours including both children and adults but they did a phenomenal job. The food was great and the service was outstanding. The menu is very broad and all of the kids and adults were able to find plenty of options. 1.5 hour wait for food that was never received... we ultimately canceled the order. Bartender was great (1st day) but the owner and waitress were completely checked out and unconcerned with the disgruntled patrons. I've been coming here at least twice a week to support this restaurant. I've always enjoyed the food and staff. Sadly, I will not be returning after today. This is a nice little dive bar in the Frisco area that we decided to check out. We started off with fried pickles which a little on the salty side but still good. The wings were decent but nothing to rave about. I expected the spice to have a bit of a more kick, but it was still good. The drinks were good and served in mason jars. My dining experience took almost two hours because they were so slow, but they were not busy. There were only 2 other tables when my party arrived and only 1 other table showed up during our visit. It took forever to get our drinks; beer was not cold. The food took a long time and when it finally arrived, mine came with a side of gray hair. No manager ever came to discuss. The manager did however make our waitress start crying when he reprimanded her on the floor. I don't know what he said to her; she was sweet but seemed overwhelmed for working when there were hardly any tables. Another entree we had was wings; they were tasteless and so overcooked that parts of them were inedible. Someone in my party didn't get charged for one of their entrees. We had 3 different tickets and the charge wasn't on any of ours. The waitress told my friend not to worry about it because my friend was trying to find the missing entree to pay. Waitress said--it's my mistake; no charge for that entree. She took our cards to run and came back with a new ticket for my friend; she said she found that entree in its own ticket and now she was charging my friend for it. After telling her not to worry about it. My friend just paid, but the audacity of saying no charge followed by--oh yeah, now there's a charge. We also ordered two appetizers that came out after our main entrees. Needless to say, this is officially off my list of places to try and places to return to. read more

Meh. The service was great but the food was just mediocre. The ceviche was warm and needed salt. The wings had a lot of fat and were not crispy. YES! It's back!!! New ownership with original menu and some amazing extras. First of all, food was top notch. Crispy fries, quality ingredients, great cook. All of it was so yummy. The 5 of us had different meals. Prosciutto grilled cheese loaded with meat YAY! My crispy chicken sandwich was JUICY!! and amazing taste. Not greasy at all. Husband did buffalo chicken sandwich and raved. Son had salmon with smashed potatoes and at it all. Great local spot! We shared wings with the sweet chili sauce which was really good. It was served with an amazing what I believe to be garlicky ranch dip. Family came in from out of town, and we were driving around looking for a new restaurant to eat at. I'm a huge fan of wings and was excited it that it was on the menu. Unfortunately the wings were not good at all. Especially since the prince for 12 wings was over 20 dollars and didn't come with a side. Wings 1/5. Flavor was off putting. Hate to leave bad reviews from local businesses but I have to agree with most of the other reviews of late that this place has only gotten worse since new ownership. We were hopeful that new ownership would have changed this around but nope! The service right off the bat was very slow despite the place being only about 50% full. My kids ordered Dr. Peppers and my wife and I ordered the bottomless mimosas. The soft drinks came out flat with no carb and our mimosas had MAYBE 4oz of liquid in them. It took the waitress about 10 min to come back around after we ordered our drinks. We informed her that the drinks were flat and ordered more mimosas as we finished the first drinks in literally 2 sips. She said she would check on the carbonation line and gave some half ass response as to why the drinks were poured so low. 10 minutes later our appetizers (TCG Buns and cheese curds) some out with our mimosa refills. The menu states TCG Buns (plural) and the description even says caramel buns. We got 1 single bun in a pan! The cheese curds were ok. Still no replacements on soft drinks. My wife has to walk back to the kitchen to ask someone for waters as our waitress is nowhere to be seen. They proceed to get 2 waters and hand them to her and don't even offer to deliver them to the table. My wife ordered a chicken wrap which she had to soak in ranch as it was completely dry and nearly inedible. I had the shrimp tacos which were average at best. Lacking any flavor other than the copious amounts of pickled cabbage on them. The lady and her daughter at the table next to us was holding her CC in her hand for at least 5 minutes before someone finally came by to take it for her. The service throughout was horrible and when we left there were only 3 tables left despite the service never getting better. This is truly the last time we will give our money to this place as the new ownership is worse than before (didn't think that was possible). There are plenty of locally owned businesses around here that deserve your money more than this. The owner (I presume) came by at the end to ask how everything was. I gave my honest opinion and told him all the issues that I mentioned above. He thanked us and walked away. Please take your money elsewhere! read more

Had dinner at The Community Grill this evening. The wait was only about 20 minutes. Our server was Cadence, and she was excellent. She was so friendly and quick to refill drinks and check on us. We will definitely ask for her next time. We started with the ceviche. It was amazing! It was very fresh and flavorful. I had the salmon with veggies. The salmon was a little over cooked but tasted good. The vegetables were very tasty. My husband had the farfalle pasta with chicken. He enjoyed it very much. A good solid no frills place, food is good, servers good, nice roomy area, weird dog bowl looking plates, and only provided a fork and knife in the table cloth.. Where's the spoon? For starters had the tomato avocado cream caprese, it was ok, would have preferred Beefsteak tomatoes instead of the roma used, but not bad tasting. Wife had the Philly steak sandwich, she said it was tasty, the shoestring fries I think were the hit of the show just yummy. I had the Neighborhood burger with cheddar and an egg, I loved it, strange no type of lettuce, but had spinach Instead, not bad actually. Kiddo was lucky had the couple sitting infront of us buy him some chocolate ice cream,plus he also finished his nuggets and fries, he also said the fries were yummy. The venue needs to be purchased by a new owner. The existing owner needs to just sell because the quality of the food is horrid. It would be sad to see this restaurant turn into a hardware store. I hope a new restaurant owner will buy this place and turn things around for the better. My hubby and toddler visited this place on June 9th and everything we ordered was not good except for our toddlers pasta - thanks goodness the toddler got to eat. Hubby and I barely touched our food. For me alone, these were the worst chicken tacos I have ever had because the chicken was hard, literally stick-hard in each taco, that I could not eat it if I tried.
