Had a miscommunication initially thru a third party delivery service where I received boneless wings instead of bone-in, but I was taken care of so well by their social media person and was able to have bone-in wings at a later date. As a former Greenville, NC patron I was thrilled when Wings Over opened in Raleigh. I lived near Cary and ordered delivery many times; even introduced them to my friends. Now that I recently moved, and live MUCH closer to their location, I was shocked when they told I was out of delivery range. When I asked why, being that it couldn't be proximity, I was told very unapologetically, "we don't deliver over there" per the owners... "There" being an urban neighborhood of downtown. I called around 12:30pm to ask if my order was on the way and Wings Over Raleigh said my food was on the way. 1:00am was approaching and I still hadn't had my food delivered so I called back 3 times and each time I heard the phone picked up and then hung up. I never received my food. I still haven't received a refund. Ordered a combo platter.... Wasn't informed the "wings" I would get are boneless. It was a delivery order and I'm less than 10 minutes away. Received my food and ready to eat...sit down and open the Styrofoam clamshell box to 2 lbs of soggy, nasty boneless wings. Called the store twice and dealt with a "manager" who didn't seem at all like he gave a shit about his "career". Will be calling my bank when this charge is processed and handle it through them. The lack of care for the customer here was atrocious. I hope that a real manager contacts me and can sort this out. Edit: at first, I thought this place was awesome. But after going back twice, I have to say I'm really not that impressed anymore. Maybe I was really hungry the first time I went. Anyway, the small amount of breading and, for some reason, the taste of the chicken really gross me out. The chicken tastes the way raw chicken smells, if that makes any sense. The wings are never crisp enough (probably because of the soggy breading), and they're almost too meaty, like, unnaturally meaty. Anyway, they aren't TERRIBLE, just not good. On top of that, the staff are still really unprofessional / untrained. Can't answer basic questions about the menu, are on their phones when you walk up and while you're ordering. Pros---everything I've had tasted amazing. Been here multiple times. Have had the honey BBQ, teriyaki, garlic parmesan boneless and bone-in. The wings are huge, I absolutely love how much meat you get with each one. Sauce is great. Flavor is spot on. Waffle fries with Cajun spice is also a great side. Cons---the service is not always very friendly. They are a wing joint but don't have wet naps for your sauce covered hands. And the napkins they have are the cheapest ones ever, you need like 50 to clean yourself up. The garlic Parmesan wings taste amazing going down...but the after taste? I brushed my teeth and used mouth wash over 7 times to get that nasty taste from lingering in my mouth! It was awful and I haven't ordered them again since that happened (too bad since I truly enjoyed crowing down on them at the beginning). You cannot choose all flats or all drums. Which is also weird for a "wing" place. Basically, a good option when you're craving some big, tasty wings. Nothing glorious about the experience though. read more
